Hi everyone! I've implimeted a series of tags for this community. Hey everyone! Two things:

First, As we are fast approaching application season, I'd like to make a note on the moderation of this community. I skim every entry for community-appropriateness. However, being a busy grad student means I can't read over every single comment that is every posted in this comminity. As such, if you have a problem with a specific person or indcident, please leave me a comment in my personal LJ, with a link to the offending comment, so that you can help me to help you! And no, I don't think we need more moderators...i'm not in the habit of dictating every single thing that goes on in this community, and I don't think I should be.

Second, I'm implimenting a system of tags for this community- in the future please tag your entries with appropriate tags. I've only put up a few tags so far (only I am able to add new tags), but I welcome your suggestions (in the comments of this entry) on what other tags you would like to see in this community

Thanks! And welcome to those who are applying for the 2008-2009 school year. For those who don't know me yet, I'm a rising 4th year sociology and demography PhD student at Penn, who (fingers crossed) will be ABD by December. I created this community back in the day when I was applying to grad schools, and I'm thrilled that it's still going strong nearly 4 years later! I also occasionally chime in with comments, but mostly I'm glad to let the community run itself :) Thanks to all of you for making this comminity continually awesome :)
