Why Momoshiro isn't getting drunk with his peers like normal Japanese seinen do, I have no idea, but that's what you get for telling me to write MomoRyo. Author's Notes: thephoenixboy stumped me at a private guess-the-line game, so here's the promised drabble! Only the drabble somehow turned into 600+ words. Prompt: Tezuka, philosophy. I need to stop playing these games. At well over 100 fics (almost 180 entries), this is a losing proposition, as this drabble clearly proves.

Part of the Dragons of the Rising Sun AU, this scene comes before Sanada changes riders. I originally thought this would turn out to be short and plotless, but something else crept in. I hope you like it anyway. ^_^

Er. Well. I have never written dragons before. Heaven help me, I don't know anything about them beyond what my D&D books and Naomi Novik's novels tell me. Is Sanada too talkative even though he's a dragon? Should I quit while I'm ahead, or ... oh I don't know. And I have a problem with everything being in media res, and oh my god it's so hard to start with Once Upon A Time. *spazz* Maybe I should just post Twinwheel instead?

It is with a mix of sadness and regret that I am posting to say that The Silence of Midnight will be cut short, because it just wasn't going anywhere. Chapter 1 was the only part I was really inspired to write--the rest was me forcing myself to continue a story when the story had run far away from me.

Author's Notes: Ai sent in her prompts for a TezuFuji fic for Christmas Cacti. Ai kept thinking about Ai's comment re: fluffy pink clouds and fic. Ai ignored the bunny. Bunny pounced Ai while Ai was writing Inflight.

My one consolation from this whole mess is, as I was the one responsible for the prompt in the first place, I won't have mangled someone else's Christmas Cacti fic. That, and I can dedicate this to shimawa_zen, who has been reading practically since the beginning. Thank you for reading, and here is your long-delayed thank-you gift of Fuji playing a practical joke on someone.
