I have some mp4 files that I have in ITunes, in my videos section, but they aren't loading onto my Iphone when I do a sync.
I have the sync done manually.
They all look checked and should be coming over.
Any help?

Currently, I am sitting at a hotel in Seattle (far away from my southeast US home).
Thanks to a nice, gregarious man at the Houston airport, I am able to tether my iPhone's internet to my MacBook so that I don't have to pay $9.95/day on top of the $30/month iPhone data plan. This excites me. I cannot, however, figure out how to connect my iPhone and my MacBook via bluetooth. The two devices are not discovering each other. Both of the devices have bluetooth turned on and are "discoverable".
Can someone please help me out with bluetoothing my Apples? Please & thank you.
PS: I am using an iPhone 3G that was just upgraded to the new OS at the beginning of the month. My MacBook is only about 5 months old. |

I am really finding the wi-fi struggles to "find" the connections with the new O/S on my G3.
The best example is my home environment... before the upgrade... never ever a problem reaching the wireless signal from the garage...
Now it's a rare and almost momentary thing for it to notice the wifi signal. :(

My iPhone is fine with all functions except podcasts. One day I was listening and the audio on the podcast slowed down. Now all of my podcasts play at a slower, distorted rate.
Has anyone else experienced this? What do I do about it? No other audio (e.g. music) is affected. |

| Syncing apps without syncing music |

I just synced applications to my iPhone without hooking up the external hard drive where my music is stored. I did check the box that says "don't sync music," but in any case, all of my music was deleted from my iPhone. I won't be able to get it back for six weeks, as I am away from home and therefore away from my hard drive (stupid me, i knew i should have brought it with!).
For future reference, how can I sync apps without syncing or losing my music? Thanks! |

I upgraded my 3G to 3Gs. I listen to my ipod on it mostly in the car since I travel a lot. I have a new Honda Fit and it has both an aux jack and a USB connection. The USB connection connects it so that the car handles the control of the iPod. I updated my 3G to 3.0, dropped my phone and it cracked. My phone kept crashing when plugged into the USB port (that also charges the phone). When I say crash, I mean get the white apple of death screen and I have to completely reboot my phone where you hold the top button and home button through the first white apple pop up, then it fires down and then you get the next white apple screen, then takes forever to reboot, but it eventually did. I at first thought it was a problem since I dropped the phone and cracked the screen. But my brand new 35 gig 3Gs does the same thing. Just want to know if anyone else encounters this and I suspect it is a software problem since it happend on both phones and hope for a fix in the 3.1 update. |

Hi folks,
I could have sworn I had heard of an app that can be used to control the mixer in Windows, but my Google-fu is failing.
Anyone heard of such a thing?
Also, doesn't anyone find it odd that LogMeIn charge for the Ignition app? I already pay for a LogMeIn subscription, so it seems really strange that I have to pay for the application as well.

is anyone else having problems where the iPhone 3G after not touching the screen for a bit turns off and you then slide to unlock it and the phone then locks up and the only way to get out is via recovery mode? in less then a month this is the third time its happened. |

| App Problems |

I have the 3G iPhone and updated the 3.0 software. Since this has happened I noticed my phone overall is slower than it use to be whether it's something on Safari, photos, camera, game apps loading, etc. But today I've been having problems with my Yahoo app all day. It won't refresh and I can't update my status for any accounts, check weather, or news. Is anyone else having this problem? Also I'm starting to have problems with the game apps not loading at all even though I'm on wireless in my home. Maybe it's just problems with the specific apps and is temporary, but is there anything else I could try to help fix it other than just deleting it and adding it again? I'm hoping I won't have to do that since I might have to reset my password and all of my accounts like myspace, facebook, twitter, etc that yahoo connects to one place. I've recently synced my phone a couple days ago with no problems. Thanx for any help.
07-07-09 I just deleted the Yahoo app and added it again. It said that I have made changes to my profile/interest before logging in. All of my stuff was saved even though I deleted the app then added it again. So I logged in since I wasn't auto logged in because I added it again, and that seemed to fix all of my problems. Might just have been that there was a log in problem so it wouldn't let me do anything before, idk. Thanx again for all of the help. |

Well, I knew this was bound to happen. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. It still works just fine, but obviously I can't use a phone with a cracked screen forever. So, I'm wondering if anyone here has successfully replaced just the screen? I've seen some listings on ebay for just the glass part and tool kit with it, but I'm not sure if its real or just a scam. Help? |

Hello people of LJ!
I'm really hoping that someone here can help me out. I just bought an unlocked iphone 2g, popped my sim card in and it worked great. The only problem was that it still had all of the kid's crap on it that I bought it from. So I went ahead and went under settings and did "Reset all content and settings". It seemed to work fine, but now my phone is just stuck on the apple screen and has been for about 6 hours, it will occasionally restart itself but never moves from there. I've tried plugging it into the computer to restore using itunes but itunes doesn't detect the phone. Any ideas? |

Hi folks,
I'm having all sorts of GS&A creating ringtones.
For starters I spotted it can only be from bought songs. Then I spotted the ringtone creator will only startup when the iTunes Store is set to the USA (I'm in the UK). Then the ringtone creator starts up but fails to actually create a ringtone - I press the Create button and nothing happens, but then there doesn't seem to be a price either.
Is it the case that only those tracks with a "bell" next to them can be turned into ringtones? Is there an alternate way to create the Q4A tracks outside of iTunes? I'm not having a lot of luck with Google for some reason.

Dear Internet Radio App developers:
Perhaps I'm behind the times and only coming to the "ideal radio app" party late in the game...
Never-the-less, I want to point out that the iPhone app called "Absolute" is just about as perfect a "Radio App" as you can get.
The problem seems to be the failure to grasp the "ubiquitous" (love that word, and it's perfect here) nature of the "Player".
I'm done with downloading applications that are "Players" and then you have to go in and load up the right url, address, service name, feed name, shoutcast, or ... WHATEVER.
FAIL.
The "Absolute" app?
All it is, is some UK radio station.
Load the app, touch the icon, and music appears.
Oh, and they have three stations embedded, so you can touch and swap between typical, classic and alt.
BUT THE CONTENT IS IRRELEVANT.
It's the idea of building your whole answer into the app I download.
I would rather have icons in the shape of local and remote radio station logo's that I "tap to listen"... then load up the perfect iPhone Radio application and try and get all the stations I want loaded in, or GOD FORBID, find them in some giant list the radio app downloads.
So....

Hi all,
I was just given the 3G 16g as a gift and love it already. In order to use it on my network, I had to have it jailbroken. I took it to a local shop, left my phone there for an hour and it has worked wonderfully. However, the day after I got it back, I was told by another iPhone lover that he was "shocked" that the local place had not installed something called Winterboard when they jailbroke my phone.
After doing some research, it seems like this is a program that I would like to have. (Unless someone here can tell me otherwise??? I'm a newbie; the more info you can give me, the better!) I called and they said they typically don't install Winterboard, just Cydia (which I do have), and if I want to have Winterboard, I can bring it back, but they will have to jailbreak the phone again and I will have to pay their fees again.
Suggestions, links, work-arounds, other similar programs, please?
