Tomorrow (aka Thursday 23rd July 2009), your CT reps will be passing around a form for you to indicate your choice for which design you want for the new 2009 faculty shirt!

Apollo Faculty Committee 09/10!

Earlier this year, on 20th May, the whole school gathered for the Annual Combined Sports Meet. It was held at the open field over at the High School Section.

When the sun has just arisen, representing our College Section were 4 different groups of people. They were from 4 faculties: Artemis, Athena, Ares and the all mighty Apollo. Throughout the event, being the rightful descendants of the God of the Sun, the bullboys and girls showed their utmost enthusiasm by lending us their voices to show support for our fellow Hwa-Chongians at the track. Furthermore, shakers, which are prepared by all C1 classes, were distrubuted to allow Apollo Faculty to have a unique melody to our cheers. After hours under the scorching heat, the 2 races of the day finally came. The 2 FACULTY RELAYS.


Representing the boys are: Aaron Koh, Tommy Kee, John Yeo and our very own robo-cop Nai Sheng!


The boys fought hard and ran the race of their life for the APOLLO FACULTY and they came in CHAMPIONS!

The girls' performance were magnificent. Although it was the first time they were running a relay together, they put in tremendous amounts of effort into preparing for the BIG RACE. And they emerged as SECOND runner-ups!


Apart from the huge dominance Apollo had on the Faculty Relays, our very own Apollo class 09S79 also won the overall Best Performing Class of the whole CSM! Beating all other C1 classes, with the most number of points obtained! Kudos to 09S79!


We would like to thank all those who stayed behind and cheered their hearts out! And we hope that you all can show the same enthusiasm during the cheering for the relays, in the many more Faculty events to come!

On 4th April, Apollo celebrated the
FACULTY EVENT OF THE YEAR...
WAH! (We Are Hot!)

 

Look who's crackling hot! It's APOLLO!!

BBQ. Faculty Prince n Princess Games. Apollo's very own Banana King. Movie Screening. Alfred n Ming's Performance. We celebrated in style!

Stingrays sizzled on the aluminum grill. The hottest girls and guy worked up the crowd. Banana skins were furiously peeled. Olympic ice skaters displayed their seemingly impossible routine. And the Faculty Heads sang to the tune of Yellow. The Apollo spirit raged on, and we witnessed the strength when we stand as a faculty!

As Faculty Dance Champions, we moved, we shaked, and the event ended by dancing the Apollo 2009 Faculty Dance on the same grounds that we were crowned champions!

This is the last event by the faculty committee. For us, just to know that the event was a success is in itself gratifying. If there could only be one thing we could take away, it would be the memories of the times we spent with you guys.

This faculty event officially marks the end of our term (save FOS). For us, 1 year and 4 months have passed and we know the journey is coming to an end. But for you guys, especially the juniors, the journey has just begun. Continue to live your loudest.

This coming Saturday 4th April will be Apollo's adhoc event "WAH" , or also known as We are Hot! This would be the last event that the faculty committee would be organizing for Apollo this year, and we hope all you could come down and give your utmost support. Coupled with hot barbeque sessions and the all time favourite comedy movie, we would be playing many games to make your night an unforgettable and fun-filled one. While the C1s elect their faculty prince and princess for 2009, let us take a look at the winners for last year.

Apollo's annual (Founder's Day) CIP was successfully carried out yesterday, and it was an immense success ((:

The Faculty Committee would like to give every single one of you out there a BIGBIG pat on the back, GOODJOB! ((((((:
Or like Valencia likes to say, G- DOUBLE O -D , J-O-B, GOODJOB *clapclap* GOODJOB *clapclap*

GOODJOB J1s, you guys were fantastic ((((: you all never fail to make us really proud of you all (:
And to the J2s who could make it for the event, thankyou for your support, we hope you enjoyed yourselves too, mm-hmm (((:

Thankyou for all the hard work, effort, sweat, strength, and dedication you guys put into this CIP (:
It wouldn't have been so successful without each and every single one of you (:
You guys gave out the fliers, went from door to door to ask for old stuff, climbed stairs/took lifts, lugged heavy stuff around (surely got more muscles after this event). Even when you were sometimes met with rejection/unfriendly uncles/aunties, you guys still gave it your all and pressed on (:
