AboutWelcome to Attachment Parenting Militants
We are not one of those wishy-washy communities that tries to make everyone happy. We have extremely strong opinions about parenting - specifically that Attachment Parenting is the best way to parent a child.
This is a place where parents who are passionately devoted to attachment parenting can come for advice, support and encouragement.
It's also a place to come vent about all the stupid crap you see going on around you that makes you want to scream. Like women who choose to formula feed. We understand that some women have legitimate reasons to feed formula (i.e. legitimate problems such as having to take medication you cannot stop that would hurt your baby, having had a mastectomy due to cancer, or having sincerely tried nursing), but we really look down on women who think it's a "choice". If you don't like that attitude, don't join our community.
This is not a place for debating parenting methods. If you want to argue the pros of practices such as spanking, formula feeding, Ferber, Babywise, or "cry it out" approaches, then you will be banned from this community. Period. Yes, we know that's harsh. Go ahead and complain about us in your journals or in other communities. We don't care.
Replies from non-members will be screened before they appear in the journal. ALL IP addresses are logged, and any people harrassing the members will be banned and reported to LJ abuse.
