Sad news...
In case anyone here has not heard yet, at least the Raley Field show in Sacramento has been cancelled. I haven't found any links yet to share with you guys but my co worker has ticketmaster e-mail and had purchased tickets for this particular show. They just e-mailed him about 10 minutes ago to let him know it's been cancelled. I'm not sure how the refunds are working. I think they will refund ticket price but not the convenience fees.
I'm not sure what this means about the show in UT.

GORGE VIGIL
This has been a collaborative effort by many people on Antsmarching. org and the members of the Warehouse board.
ALL THREE NIGHTS:
When the last song is over and the band walks off the stage (before the encore) , we as the crowd..............
* PUT ON OUR SUNGLASSES FOR ROI * SHINE A WHITE LIGHT (i.e. flashlight, white glow sticks, cell phones, etc.) THEN......................
NIGHT 1:
* LOUD AND PROUD... ALL SING "SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW"
Here are the lyrics:
Somewhere over the rainbow Way up high There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow Skies are blue And the dreams that you dare to dream Really do come true
REPEAT
NIGHT 2:
* LOUD AND PROUD... ALL SING "IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN" (This is from LeRoi's solo in Bartender)
Here are the lyrics:
I could while away the hours, conferrin' with the flowers Consultin' with the rain.
And my head I'd be scratchin' while my thoughts were busy hatchin' If I only had a brain.
I'd unravel every riddle for any individ'le, In trouble or in pain.
With the thoughts you'll be thinkin' you could be another Lincoln If you only had a brain.
REPEAT
NIGHT 3:
* AND To Tell DMB....EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE ALL RIGHT AND WE STILL ARE IN LOVE WITH THEM... ALL SING "THREE LITTLE BIRDS"!
Here are these lyrics:
Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"
Rise up this mornin', Smiled with the risin' sun, Three little birds Pitch by my doorstep Singin' sweet songs Of melodies pure and true, Sayin', ("This is my message to you-ou-ou:")
REPEAT

From the DMB website:
LEROI MOORE 1961-2008 (08/19/2008)
We are deeply saddened that LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. LeRoi had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program.
Wow. Just wow.

I was curious if anyone would be interested in a free ticket to the Woodlands show on the 15th. I have an extra and would love a fellow Ant to jam out with. It is a Warehouse ticket in the uncovered reserved. I do not want anything for it. I just want someone to go with me to enjoy the show. Let me know if you are interested.

I have been told that the boys covered Blind Mellon's "No Rain". Is this true? If they did I totally missed that moment. If so is it on a bootleg anywhere?

In an 11th hour success I ended up with a free ticket to Mile High Music Festival for the night Dave Matthews is playing. I'm so excited. I really thought I was going to miss them this year. All I had to do is donate 5 hours of my time the morning of the event. :)

LeRoi was immediately transported to the University of Virginia Health System for treatment where he remains in serious condition. Please join us all in wishing LeRoi a speedy and complete recovery. Beginning tomorrow in Charlotte, NC, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones saxophonist, Jeff Coffin, will be sitting in with Dave Matthews Band while LeRoi recovers.

| Charleston + scalpers |
[Jun18'2008 11:19PM] |
hey!
well, i'd been a faithful warehouse member for 5 years and i used to go see the band every year at amsouth amp. in nashville and then they decided to close the place, so i didn't renew..
by happenstance... i will be in charleston, SC on july 4th and i'd love to mix my favorite holiday and favorite band. i know this show is sold out, so i'm going to try to go the scalper route. has anyone ever done this before? i haven't, so can someone give me any tips.. experiences.. anything like that? i don't mind paying a little more, i just don't want to get to the door to find out i just paid $50 for a fake ticket.
and actually, my friend and i set a top out at $100 a ticket. how much do they usually try to charge? sorry, i'm new to the game.. and i need your help!
thanks.. ;)

Hey guys! With the start of the summer tour, my entries are becoming more and more Dave-centric~ I don't really have that many friends on my list that are into the band, and I was wondering if anyone here would like to be friends? It's always great to read what people have to say - whether it be about Dave or anything~
Wanna be friends? :P

A shout out to everyone in earshot of the Jun 17 Six Flags Darien Lake - Performing Arts Center Darien Center, NY show.....
The most greatest Dave cover band in the Buffalo area (and any area for that matter, they really kick as$ when it comes to Dave cover tunes), Busted Stuff is holding a "Win two lawn tickets as well as two tickets to the VIP Party before the Darien Lake Show" contest.
Here are the rules (from their mailing list):
We will have tickets (the kind you get for drawings, 50/50, Chinese auction etc.) at our shows to obtain. Only ONE ticket per person PER show. So you have NINETEEN (19) chances to win because that is how many shows we have until the drawing which will be held on JUNE 7th at Gordon's. To get your ticket(s), just come up to us at any of our shows and fill out the ticket on one half. WE take that half and YOU keep the other half. EACH half has the same # on it. Then on JUNE 7th, we will draw the winning ticket at Gordon's!! If it matches the # on your half, you win!!! Simple!! No purchase necessary. Winner MUST be present to win!! If winner is not present, another ticket will be drawn.
Check their web site for show dates and times.

"Backyard," Guster |

I apologize if this has been posted about before, but everyone should check out this link: http://cdbaby.com/cd/tribeofheaven
For those who don't know, Tribe of Heaven was a band consisting of Mark Roebuck and a fellow bartender named Dave Matthews who recorded their debut (and only) CD, "Imagine We Were," on an 8-track in 1989. It includes a cover of U2's "In God's Country" and a song that some of you may know, "The Song that Jane Likes." The sound is Simon and Garfunkel meets early Guster (another two of my favorite bands). Totally amazing. It's hard to imagine Dave as a 20-something bartender recording chill acoustic music in someone's home.

Just a wandering thought, but what exactly does Dave mean when he uses the term Trippin' Billies? A friend of mine asked and I didn't really have an answer.
Thanks!

I haven't been around in a while.
But what do my fellow DMB fans think of the ticket pricing this season?
(And I got rejected-again. Is this based on credit?lol.)
