Vegan creativity
This has passed my thoughts a few times and now I'm finally going to go ahead and write it down. By now we've all noticed how PeTA in particular, but all vegans in general, dog on certain folks that create things. Be it movies, clothes, paintings, books, food, etc., no one is immune to the critics in the herbivore realm. My curiousity is: When have vegans produced anything that is not only lasting but also worthwhile?
I scrolled around in the Trollson twins site, I read through the "Your Mommy Kills Animals" propaganda, and I've watched some of the "Meet Your Meat" style videos that they put out. Frankly, I've yet to see anything that comes close to being a work of art, save the company and their brainwashing success. These people are uncreative and they act as though they are an authority on what is and is not good. Is this a smart thing to do? I don't think it is. As a writer, I feel I have more clout to actually critique someone else's work, though less than someone who has actually published a bestseller, let alone five. However, I try not to slander and smear feces all over something I don't like when it comes to art or creativity - yes, some people need to not get involved with the field, but the fact that they at least made a serious attempt is worthy in itself of a small applause, whether or not the creation is any good. And then there's some people that just rise above their material through charisma and decency. Ingrid, will you stand up please? *blam* Thanks.
Anyway, where do these people get off? The Olsen twins, while it's true they haven't made a decent kids movie in a long time, they deserve more than to have their images desecrated by scavengers and assholes. I mean, seriously, one of them came down with a mental condition that involved puking up food because of a deep insecurity of appearance. Nice way to be supportive of someone trying to make a recovery, douchebags. Why don't you be productive and make fun of Rob Reiner's need to be greased out of his car, or Alan Jackson's shameless profitting off the 9/11/2001 tragedy? Both of those guys use tons of animal products and could use some belly slapping. Why pick on a pair of girls that, yes, have lead pampered lives, but are about as harmless as they come with their line of sensible clothing for young girls and their movies about making people feel good and making friends? I'll tell you why - because Rob leads the crusade against smokers and Alan is a country singer of middling popularity. These men actually have something to fight back with. Ashley and Mary? Yeah, what are they going to fight back with? Both are damn near flat-chested - I think only their ivory white teeth are their only hope. Hell, they can't even get boyfriends now thanks to the fucking paparazzi. Just like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston, and Angelina Jolie, the Olsen twins will never have their own lives. They're already doomed and PeTA, just like the hyena pack it is, wants to feed on the still breathing corpse of their freedom.
I'd like them to get sued, public agency or not. We could start with a CIA raid on the main facility, revoke their non-profit status in a heartbeat, and then the death spiral would begin with a bang. I really would like to see them squirm in the courtroom as they're made to confess that this is really a big sham and veganism is just another way to insult the intelligence of everyone and dupe teens into giving them their money and allegiance in return for a feeling of feeling like heroes for doing nothing more than whining and prancing around in front of restaraunts in chicken suits. I'm sure the incentive of throwing paint on people and causing various forms of property damage (read: vandalism) will be more than enough to convict the company of conspiracy charges. Conspiracy? OMG Tdarklighter, are you going to pull the paranoia card??? Hell no. It IS a conspiracy. They are conspiring to damage and disrupt the economy, undermine the authority of the governments of not only one but several nations, and incite rebellion in the populations of said governments. That is conspiracy and it's an obviously open conspiracy too, as they're operating in broad daylight on the streets every day. PeTA has become the new mafia, pressuring businesses into seeing things their way or "leaning on them" if they don't. Leaning on them consists of scaring employees and disrupting the business of customers on a frequent basis.
So am I paranoid? I think not. Vegans try to claim that they're doing it for a righteous cause, but so are the fanatics in the Middle East with their child-bombs and hijacked planes. While it's pretty difficult to claim that a vegan has ever killed someone in the name of animal justice, it's a sentiment stated on a daily basis by no less than fifty at a time. Is that the statement of a sound mind, the thought processes of a lawful citizen? Or is it, rather, the mantra of an agent of fear, terror, and dissent? If you chose option B, you are not only exercising your right to choice, but you made a correct choice at that. Sure you could choose option A. You would be wrong, but hey, you have the choice. No one said all your choices have to be correct and that's something that democracy seems to be forgetting at a steady rate. So yes, B is the correct answer to my question, but the wrong answer to someone else's. Whatever, the point is is that saying things like "I wish they would die" and "God I want to kill these people" is the first step to committing murder. And murder of human beings, unlike animals, is a felony in all civilized countries.
So can we seek to stop these people somehow? It's times like this I wish I were a president or a senator or something. Someone that could get things in motion to ending the insanity. Sure, PeTA would try to martyr itself, but if you don't give someone a chance to be a martyr, they can't inspire anyone. You just prove that they don't have anyone but their own interests in mind and BAM! Done and done.
Okay, I've ranted enough. I need to stop. Discuss!
