lilmelodie1:02pm: I believe this...oh wait, no....that's not what my advisor told me to believe
I made this post on my LJ and thought that I would share.

I was thinking about my last post and was thinking about Barack's lack of an ability to make a decision on his own and I just have to think that it doesn't bode well for being the President.  This is what I love about McCain and Palin.  They have an opinion and they are able to form them without the help of advisors and pundits.  They can speak without the crutch of a good speech.  I've seen Palin on youtube talking about energy and I have to say, I'm impressed.  When I see Barack stuttering through answers when he doesn't have a teleprompter in front of him and clearly doesn't know what he thinks, it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.  John McCain may not be a great orator, but he is strong and confident in what he believes.  People were slamming his speech last night, but I thought it was great.  He really is an American hero and I truly believe that he will fight for us.  He will make choices based on what he thinks is best for us, not on what is best for him or his party.  I have to admire that.  I'm excited about this election and I really think that Barack has reason to be afraid.  He doesn't do well at debates and that is a situation that McCain thrives in.  He doesn't have to ponder what he believes on any issues.  He knows it and can answer confidently.  As much as I can't stand Hilary, I have to wonder how Obama got in ahead of her when you compare their records and consider their experience.  MSNBC can only do so much to further Barack's political career.  Palin just threw McCain back into the spotlight and between the two of them, I think that they can convince those undecided and maybe even some non-committal Obama supporters that the McCain/Palin ticket is the right one.

I don’t know about anyone else but Palin’s speech last night was absolutely amazing!!! I loved how she knocked down the lefties in a humorous way! My favorite part was when she was talking about responsibilities of a Community leader and being Mayor/Governor of Alaska. Who’s got more experience?? (LoL) She got him good with that one, at least I think so. After her speech last night, I am totally in love. I think she will be amazing as a VP and maybe in 2012 an awesome President!!!

zom_b6:26am: "Stranger Danger" by Frank @ imao.us
Barack Obama was alone in the playground playing with some blocks. "Now that that mean lady is gone, I'm gonna be pesident," he said to himself.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad slowly crept near him. "Hello, little Barry."

Obama waved at him enthusiastically. "Hi! I'm Barack Obama, and I've been in the Senate..." He held up three fingers. "...this many years and now I'm gonna be pesident."

"I heard!" Mahmoud sat down next to him. "So what are you up to?"

Obama stacked some more blocks. "I'm building a prison for all the mean people who don't want to pay for universal healthcare and own guns."

"It looks nice. Anyway, I think we should go somewhere and talk." Mahmoud pointed to his van parked next the playground.

Obama suddenly became cautious. "My campaign manager said I'm not supposed to talk to dictators."

"That's crazy!" Mahmoud said. "I'm the democratically elected president of Iran. Shouldn't you be able to talk to a leader of a country like me."

Obama was hesitant. "I dunno."

"And we both want American out of Iraq... I just work towards that end more actively. Shouldn't we talk so we can better combine our energies to achieve a goal we both want."

"Maybe... but my campaign manager told me..."

"And I lost my puppy and need your help finding him," Mahmoud told him.

"Your puppy! Oh no! Where did you lose him?"

"Israel took him!" Mahmoud narrowed his eyes. "I will wipe them off the map."

Obama was cautious again. "I really think I'm supposed to stay here."

"But I have candy!"

"Yay! Candy!" Obama screamed as he scampered off towards Mahmoud's van.

* * * *

"This just in: Senator Barack Obama has made a deal with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to cut off all ties with Israel in exchange for five candy bars," the anchorman said.

"I heard Ahmadinejad tried to only give him only four candy bars," the anchorwoman commented, "but Obama negotiated him up to five. He is so shrewd. I just love him so much. I want to give myself to him sexually."

The anchorman nodded. "Me too. I bet he has soft hands. Anyway, John McCain, who I remind you is very old, was quick to condemn Obama's diplomacy, calling Obama a 'little whippersnapper' and told him and all his buddies to stay off his lawn."

"I guess he doesn't like black people," the anchorwoman added.

The anchorman nodded again. "He is a Republican."

zom_b7:50pm: Sarah Palin and Barack Obama: a comparison

P.S. How long do you think it will take the Dems to blame Bush for Hurricane Gustav? I mean, it's common knowledge that Bush has a room deep underneath the White House where he pulls levers to dispense hurricanes, fires, floods, tornadoes, and global warming onto America whenever he wants to stick it to liberals. So shouldn't they start blaming him right about now...or are they going to wait to criticize him for not sending yachts filled with Papa Johns pizza as soon as the weather clears up down there?

SINCE NO ONE BROUGHT UP THE COST TO THE ENVIRONMENT SCORE, I'LL ASK FOR SENATOR OBAMA - 'HOW GREEN WAS MY TALLY ... MON?'

The 2008 Democrat Convention in Denver was supposed to be the greenest ever? How successful were the Dems?

Need I ask?

Mountains of trash bursting from plastic bags. Wood shipped from who knows where? to make hotel key cards that didn't work. Fried foods galore. Gas-guzzling limos lining the streets with engines idling and air-conditioners on high for the comfort of environmentally-unconscious liberals. No bicycle parking permitted. Celebrities like Cheryl ("One piece of toilet paper" Crow arriving and leaving in private jets. And (Rats!) not a bio-degradable balloon in sight.

You see, it is we that must following the environmentalists' rules, not them and the elites that enable them. After all, they all have hybrids in their garages and they're only getting exceptions because they're spreading the word to the unwashed masses ... aren't they?

What a Day to Commemerate the 88th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage!

I couldn't have been more happy with John McCain's selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his VP running-mate.

I've read about her and heard her speak and interviewed a few times and was most impressed. Her opponents on the left must be a little skittish because the attack machine is already in overdrive with people who know nothing about her getting their talking points from the political hacks on the left and assaulting this talented intelligent and dedicated woman and public servant.

As far as I know, she has never sat in a racist hate-filled church for 20 years. She's never sought out radical leftists and unrepentent terrorists to help jump-start her political career. She's never opposed bills designed to allow infants born alive after botched abortions to die in dirty linen rooms without medical assistance. In fact, she gave birth to her last child, a Down Syndrome baby, and thanked God for trusting her to care for a child who will need so much love, tenderness, and patience. As far as I know, she's never been financed nor bought a mansion with the help of convicted felons named Tony Rezko. She believes in using our resources ... saying the obvious, that Alaska was purchased for its resources. She's been a tireless opponent of corrupt officials. She believes in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, family, hard work, opportunity, industry, individualism, and the environment - and she is a woman who has actually wandered away from the coffee shops and nightclubs into the environment. She can bait a fish hook and fire a rifle with the best of them.

Yeah ... I think when people get to know her, they're going to like Sarah Palin. She's a kick-butt, chick ... if I'm not being too politically incorrect. ;-)

The Dems dissed on Hillary and her women supporters who watched her ignored for yet another career white male political Washington insider. How wretched it must be for her and them to realize she's been pushed aside by another woman ... yet again.

Anybody remember what Barack Obama said yesterday? Something about John McCain being another George Bush and freebies for everyone?

Boy, are the Democrats getting nervous now! Their mantra of "change" is suddenly "Palin" comparison.

politicalvoice7:04pm: DYNAMIC DUO: CNN AND OBAMA

i just wrote my dear friend, mr. jack cafferty an e-mail explaining how much he disgusts me. today on the cafferty file, on CNN, he started preaching about how inexperience palin is!

NOW obamatrons are concerned with experience?! funny, because their number one guy only served two years before deciding he can run for president. palin actually did energy and partisan reform...and she has many achievements...and obama spent all his time running for president. that's his "experience".

cafferty, to me, is so UNFIT to have his own little show -- but since it's on CNN, i suppose it's fine to blurt out liberal garbage and keep a job. i'm so angry at how many people listen to people like jack cafferty talk nonsense. how does HE get a professional job and not half the people i see in these blogs, actually having good points?!

"CNN is a network that reports the news in an objective and balanced fashion. However, as part of our coverage we also employ commentators who provide robust opinions that generate debate." OBJECTIVE AND BALANCED?!
i'm so furious with the journalism today. i have never been so embarrassed for a tv network, as i am for CNN.

"An Emmy award-winning journalist with more than 40 years experience, Mr Cafferty was previously host of CNN's American Morning programme." EMMY AWARD WINNING?! 40 YEARS OF SPITTING GARBAGE!!!

cafferty then talks about if it was possible for the RNC to beat the DNC, and proceeded to read the comments left on his website...which of course, he only selected the negative remarks. how do people trust someone who is so obviously biased, not even just cafferty, but CNN as a whole? to me, they are no longer the slightest bit respectable.

reading this guy's blogs just infuriates me and i'm disgusted with how his readers have been eating all his bullshit out of his hands. if you have free time, read through it and write to him, as i have, about anything you find that may disgust you..as it has disgusted me.

http://caffertyfile.blogs.cnn.com/

it's so pathetic how they are scrambling around to find negative facts about palin. i also find it hypocritical that NOW they care about experience. obama's lucky he has CNN working for his campaign...

politicalvoice10:39pm: THE LORD HAS SPOKEN
thoughts on obama's speech...

1. his opening video is all about struggle and his hard work, getting himself from a lower-middle class family to a "successful" "hardworking" upper class man. he then proceeds to talk about his grandmother who worked so hard and put her all into making sure he was taken care of and she was able to get out of poverty and live a comfortable life. inspiring story.

"And when I hear a woman talk about the difficulties of starting her own business, I think about my grandmother, who worked her way up from the secretarial pool to middle management, despite years of being passed over for promotions because she was a woman. She's the one who taught me about hard work. She's the one who put off buying a new car or a new dress for herself so that I could have a better life. She poured everything she had into me."

so, obama...if you have been through that struggle yourself, and have successfully gotten out of the lower middle class with hard work and determination, why then are you preaching that the government should intervene and hold everyone's hands to make sure they get by. obviously its possible to pick yourself up from poverty in the united states, he did it, his grandmother did it, so is the rest of the american people too stupid to do the same?

you're preaching about how the government needs to help those who are in the lower class, when its obvious that we don't need the government to do so. people who WANT to succeed, in reality CAN with determination. having the government spoon feed us will make the united states as a country lazy and unwilling to work hard for themselves because 'the government will take care of it'.

"Born into poverty? Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps — even if you don't have boots. You're on your own." your grandmother did it, you did it, why can't we?

AND HIS MOTHER DID IT! "In the face of that young student who sleeps just three hours before working the night shift, I think about my mom, who raised my sister and me on her own while she worked and earned her degree; who once turned to food stamps but was still able to send us to the best schools in the country with the help of student loans and scholarships." it seems pretty easy..

2. "As President, I will tap our natural gas reserves, invest in clean coal technology, and find ways to safely harness nuclear power."

so NOW he wants to drill for oil domestically AND start using nuclear power?! when did this "change" happen? i find it rather disturbing how obama switched views and adopted the energy plan that he once bashed when mccain proposed it! obama had his whole NO DON'T DRILL IN THE UNITED STATES all during his campaign and NOW he changes his mind and sides WITH mccain?!

3. "I will cut taxes - cut taxes - for 95% of all working families. Because in an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle-class."

tax cuts to 95% of people...why not 100%? Sure, punish the wealthy for having more property? it doesn't matter if they deserve it or not, that is their property and they should be taxed the SAME as the rest of the country. we can't take money from the rich to give to the poor. that's not fair obama, come on now.

4. schooling and economy...he talks a big game about the public school system...he believes in it, he wants to give it MORE money and pay the teachers MORE...yet...he sends his children to private schools. our economy could be better, but obama fails to acknowledge that the latest report on the economy in the last quarter grew at a 3% yearly rate...which is as good as its average growth rate during the clinton years.

5. 'i'd love to debate mccain'...EXCUSE ME?! you want to DEBATE mccain on the issues? then why did you run with your tail between your legs from the many townhall meetings in which mccain was all set to do just that? if you really wanted to debate him...then why DIDN'T you?!

6. "What the naysayers don't understand is that this election has never been about me. It's been about you."

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME IT'S ABOUT YOU!!!! are you kidding me? obama...you actually said this ALOUD when you were standing on a high podium in front of a 20 foot "O" logo...unless the O stands for the o in yOu..i'm not convinced this isn't about you. if it was about us, then what's with his pompous campaign?

7. "John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the gates of hell — but he won't even go to the cave where he lives."

do you expect john mccain to physically go to the caves of afghanistan and have hand-to-hand combat with bin laden? nice try.

8."I argued for more resources and more troops to finish the fight against the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11"

i need more clarification on which situations he's FOR a surge and when he's NOT for a surge...actually, i think HE needs more clarification.

-----
"We measure the strength of our economy not by the number of billionaires we have or the profits of the Fortune 500, but by whether someone with a good idea can take a risk and start a new business, or whether the waitress who lives on tips can take a day off to look after a sick kid without losing her job — an economy that honors the dignity of work." ...nice touch.

i'm worried about this candidate..
"I realize that I am not the likeliest candidate for this office. I don't fit the typical pedigree, and I haven't spent my career in the halls of Washington." i agree...
politicalvoice9:02pm: THE GATES OF HEAVEN WILL OPEN TONIGHT AND THE NEW GOSPEL SHALL BE PREACHED!
i'm rather excited to hear what obama has to say tonight as he preaches the new gospel. 'the one' in my opinion should talk about his policies and how they will 'work' and what they will do for the country. however, my prediction is that he will spend most of his time talking about his oh so many 'achievements' and all the neat-o things he's done and why he entitled to presidency. after his speech, he will then ascend into heaven and sit on the other hand of god that isn't occupied by the first messiah.

honestly, the only reason i'd like to hear obama speak is because i want to hear him finally give a clear cut view on issues and talk about policy. if all i hear is a monologue about how great he and his wife and his apparent russian grandfather who liberated the jews are...i'm not going to even consider him a serious candidate. i think it's too late to sway my vote, but this is kind of his last chance.

obama can do one of two things...he can take this HUGE opportunity to discuss his platform and its alleged benefits...or he can continue to toot his own horn. i'd like to hear his own reasoning as to why his unrealistic ideas, in his opinion, will work...and how they will benefit everyone as a whole.

by the way, do you think obama invited his poverty stricken younger brother, george obama (living in a tin hut near Nairobi, Kenya) to his convention? i'd like to see him fix a country of people struggling in poverty if he can't even lend a hand to his own brother...but that's another story.

obama's speech tonight. watch it. and remember the (i guarantee there will be plenty) stupid things that are going to be preached from the sacred pulpit in denver tonight.

do all this in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Barack Obama.
amen.

politicalvoice4:43pm: you don't like obama? you must be misinformed!
Tell me if you agree with this...

it seems like every time someone who is anti-obama makes a statement that deteriorates his god-like persona, it's immediately incorrect. we always seem to be the misinformed ones.

this is my theory. people who are against obama are against him for a reason...or in most cases, many many reasons. when we debate someone who is a supporter of this second messiah, we need to know what we're talking about in order to have a different viewpoint.

since obama is forced down our throats, it's easy to fall victim to his hype, and we don't really need to know exactly why we support him. "i love obama, he's going to bring change to the country" that's a pretty common statement and most of the time they get away with it.

CHANGE. that's all they need to know..without question. and we become the uninformed ones because isn't it OBVIOUS that he's the right choice?! if you disagree, shouldn't you actually do some research and see how great he is?!

truth is, if you don't support obama, most of the time i'm going to assume you are a little more well-informed than those who do..because you're not just going with everyone else supporting him, but actually read and understands his as well as other candidate's viewpoints.
lady_j_usa1:06pm: Captain Obama -- Your Pilot Speaking

Captain Obama -- Your Pilot Speaking

I recived this in my inbox today. - Lady J :)

'Good morning ladies and gentlemen and as your Captain for today's flight I would like to welcome you all to BHO-BS airlines.'

While this is my first flight as Captain I want to assure everyone to rest easy and trust me that all will be well with me at the controls. Yes it's true I have no experience in this particular aircraft, or any aircraft for that matter, but please remember that I have been voted 'Most Likely to Succeed' by millions of mindless Americans who really don't care as long as I tell them what they want to hear and make promises I have no intention of keeping. They understood that the most important was to have 'Change' and get me at the controls.'

'I'm sure they would not have entrusted me with this position as your Captain if they had any doubts about what I told them about me. You see, while I have no experience, I am highly educated and a darn good talker. I could talk the undies off a nun.'

'I am sure I will be able to handle any emergency we might encounter during our flight today. There are lots of buttons up here and I know eventually I will find the right one. Besides if I unconditionally become 'One-with-the-engines' I think they will be fine. You should feel secure in the fact that I raised a lot of money from people who know absolutely nothing about me in order get control of this aircraft. A few doubters have said, 'You have no experience to run this aircraft'. But look, here I am! Besides, I think experience is very overrated; don't you? I mean how hard could it be? Lot 's of people have taken just a few hours in flight schools and most of them ended up where they wanted to go. And except for some unruly passengers they all would have reached their destinations. Remember, you all knew before you boarded that I had no experience and you, like guilt ridden sheep, came on board anyway. Aren't you happy we have gotten beyond that stereotype that all pilots should have experience before they fly commercial aircraft?'

'But enough of that.'

'You will note their are headsets available for you all so you can listen to RFFF, Radio Free Flip-Flop. And best of all you can listen in 27 different languages; (Hebrew & Yiddish not available) Yes, you can listen to whichever of my ever changing positions you like best.

Conservatives should tune into channel 1, moderates channel 2, liberals channel 3 and everyone will hear what they want to hear.

I'm sorry about those of you who actually think for yourselves but there are so few of you it just wasn't cost effective to add a channel just for you. You know, you just can't please everyone!'

The flight attendants will come by shortly to serve you breakfast, then lunch and later dinner. And guess what, it's all free. You heard me right; thanks to the generous, if somewhat unwilling, 'contributions' to BHO-BS airlines we are going to take care of you to the end, the very end.'

'They will also be serving complimentary drinks as well, strawberry, raspberry, grape; Be sure to drink the Kool-Aid!'

'You just sit back, relax and tune into channel 4 on RFFF to hear Rev. Wright say a thoughtful blessing for our trip. He was supposed to be on our flight but he very thoughtfully gave his seat to a little old lady when he heard I was Captain today. He told her she would enjoy the flight more than he would. (Disregard his language; he, like me, is just misunderstood due to some radical realists. I mean, really.).'

Now, sit back, relax and trust your pilot. This is even more exciting for me than it is for you. I intend to take you places you could never have imagined.

Thank you again for flying BHO-BS Airlines where we are proud to have put the S back in BS and thank you for buying into it.'

'My name is Barack Hussein Obama and I approve this message before we head off into who knows where.'

( Awhile later...)

'Hello everyone, we are finally airborne; no one is more surprised than me. Now that we are successfully in the air I have an announcement to make: Guess What: We are going to a different destination! Surely you didn't believe that stuff on your ticket that led you to believe you could choose your destination. Look at your ticket where it says in the fine print: BHO-BS Airlines reserves the right to change anything at anytime and we are not bound to keep any promises you may have inferred prior to take-off.'/

'Don't worry, be happy. Sit back and relax; when I decide where we are going you will be among the last to know. Isn't this exciting?'

'Oh, those of you on the left side of the aircraft look out your window and you will see the newest monument on the capital mall dedicated to the struggle of those heroic 24 million illegal immigrants who just yesterday became U.S. citizens; look close and you will see a replica of the sign-up office which we now have in every state in the USA and Mexico that gives each of them 3 free meals a day, free education, free health care, a new car, a home and amnesty for any crime they may have committed or will ever commit. There is also a toll free telephone there to call all their relatives and have them join them here in America , at U.S. government expense of course. You can see they must go through the voter registration line first where they can register for any party they choose as long as it is the Democratic Party. (Instructions are in Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Chinese and Swahili. All others who wish to apply must learn one of these languages to qualify.)'

Those on the right side of the Aircraft look out and you will see all those people going to work in order to pay for all the things I have just told you about. Suckers!

Ooops, another one of those pesky red lights. Gotta go! Have a very nice flight!

'Uh Ted, where is the cancel all warning lights circuit breaker?'

You think you would never fly in an airplane with a captain who has no experience. But wait 4 months: You may have no choice!
