My thoughts on your community
Well aren't you all a group of judgmental twats. Now I want you all to know that I thought long and hard, for a good minute or so, about the perfect opening sentence to introduce myself to such an asinine group, and "twat" just had a ring to it that I couldn't resist. Plus a previous poster used it as well, so I figured why not.

First off, I agree that bisexuality is definitely a current fad. I myself am often annoyed by what I've coined in NY as the "weekend bisexual". These typically are the girls who go out to all the shitty, monotonous, top 40 bars or clubs and can only make out with their friends when they're good and drunk, pretending to be, or being egged on by some equally pathetic yuppie or college guy. Usually I try to limit my exposure to such a crowd. Sometimes one or two try infiltrate one of the decent bars in NY, but they quickly realize they are not wanted, and that's if they actually manage to get past the door.

Still, I've traveled enough in my years, seen enough, and am educated enough to realize that any unequivocal statement out something not existing is simply imbecilic. Here's the thing I think most of you members fail to realize, there is a world beyond America or American culture. Please try to contain your gasping, it's true. Yes, I know I know I'm being condescending, but after reading the user info, I thought I'd match the tone set. I've traveled to 6 of the 7 continents and dozens of countries and you know what, people are fucking different. If you consider being straight or gay as sexual orientations, and acknowledge the fact that such orientations aren't region or culture specific, to publicly admit your limited *understanding* of what it is to be bisexual as, what I gather is largely a suburban American Caucasian adolescent demographic, you're doing nothing but embarrassing yourself in front of anyone with just a modicum of decent education or scientific training.

A few observations from your user info & posts:

We are sickened at how popular that is. Some of us take it further and think that bisexuality is a fake orientation, period, and that it is extremely rare ( < 1%) that a person would truly love and get sexual pleasure from men and women, equally, 50/50.

This is probably the most laughable statement I've come across thus far. First off, hate the sinner and not the sin. If you want to be mad that college girls are making out all across the country and it's suddenly "cool", then be mad. But to hate all people who choose to define themselves as bisexuals is nothing more then prejudicial ignorant hate, bordering on cultural fascism.

Secondly what the fuck is with the 50/50 theory? Have any of you had more than one lover? If not, have you kissed more than one person? If so, is it fair to say that they don't all rank the same on the pleasure scale? If they do, chances are the only one getting pleasure out of the sexual relationship is your partner. And if that's the case, my condolences to your love life because that has gotta suck. Accordingly, it's possible to enjoy having sex with both genders, but it is fundamentally impossible to categorize the pleasure derived from both as equal. That depends on the skill of the person you're fucking. Period. Some guys have no idea what to do beyond thrusting, and other guys can work magic. Some women can perform miracles, while others might put you to sleep.

Sexual compatibility is one of the most important aspects of a relationship, and sometimes the deciding factor. Such compatibility doesn't necessary hinge on the gender of the lover for a bisexual, but instead on their skill or charm.

Regarding your definition: An attempt by college girls to prove how open they are with their sexuality, although they need to be reminded that holding hands and kissing isn't being "bisexual." You've gotta get in there and do the deed.

Just one sentence need be said- Do you need to fuck someone of the opposite gender to be considered straight or of the same gender to be considered gay? Adhering to this logic would imply that humans lack any specific sexual orientation until they have their first sexual experience. Scientifically this would debunk your theory on the nonexistence of bisexuality if say, ones first experience involved two persons of each gender. What then of those women or men who marry and have kids, but come out years later saying that they were gay during their entire marriage? If sexual orientation is only decided by having sex, then again, your theory has been disproved as long as someone has had sex with both genders. Use your brain people. If you're going to make an argument for or against something, try to make it an intelligent one.

Regarding your list of characteristics: Any group of bisexuals will generally be a sorry crowd with one unifying characteristic: they're fucking ugly and can't get any, so they're forced into what they claim is bisexuality as a way of increasing their dismal chances.

I mean honestly folks. All of the characteristics listed were pretty nonsensical, but the aforementioned statement was the funniest. However, I checked a few user info pages of some of the members, and I guess living in Alabama or BumFuck, USA sort of explains that theory. I also noticed that a number of the members here are quite young and presumably lacking much life experience. So I'll just chock all this up to the regular illnesses plaguing most adolescents: close-mindedness, tunnel vision, immaturity and the like.

In-fact, if there is one true stereotype or trend about bisexuals that I've noticed in large metropolitan areas (i.e. New York, WeHo, SoBe- Internationally: London, Paris, Nice, Milan, Amsterdam, Stokholm, & Geneva) is that most bisexuals, at least in these cities, are usually very attractive and their sexuality is NOT something that defines them. Instead it's more like a characteristic trait. The majority of bisexuals are just normal fucking people who date whom they please. Sometimes it's a girl, and sometimes it's a guy. Monogamy has nothing to do with ones presumed or actual sexual orientation. It has to do with the individual. There have always been adulterers and there will always be adulterers. It doesn't matter if you're bi, gay or straight.

Regarding a post made: Bisexuals: It's always all about them, & getting more, & they never shut the fuck up about it. If it is a legitimate orientation, I would argue that they are not required by their sexuality to be intimate with both genders, but rather, to create the chaos which arises from suing for the right to. It is a sexual fetish, as practiced by them, & not a sexual orientation.

Grow the fuck up already. It's always the same judgmental asses who get pissed when someone makes assumptions about them. If you're a gay male, I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate if someone said all gay males are incapable of monogamy, vain, and only interested in fucking. If you're a gay female, I'm sure you'd be upset if someone said that all lesbians are homely looking women who go on each date with a Uhaul in tow. Same thing applies here.

All in all, it's just not fair to jump to conclusions regarding a global community of people simply because of some popular American stereotypes. Try traveling a little and meeting some new people. Just because you may not understand something, does not mean you have to disrespect it. Live and let live. Life's a lot more fun that way. Ciao.
