*le sighs* I didn't even get a chance to go there..hopefully next year this will change though since I plan to have a dealers table instead of doing Artist's Alley.

yep once i knew when it was open each day ^.^ signed the guest book too and helped staff there if needed XD

though i might add, if someone didn't go to opening ceramonies, those SS wouldn't even know where it was cause that was the ONLY time it was actually mentioned in public about where it was in the hotel.

We had plenty of SS's ask in Con Op's where the SuperSponsor lounge was.

If you have a question, or don't know where something is, find us in Con Ops we have the answer; and if we don't, we know where to find it. :)

Thanks for being a SuperSponsor!

I was really impressed with everything that the SuperSponsor Lounge had to offer. If there were any suggestions I could make, it would be a repeat of one made during the Feedback session after Closing Ceremonies: See what you can do about moving the SuperSponsor Lounge to a lower floor of the hotel for next year.

Hope to see you next year!

I did and i left comments about it in the post AC survey. I was rather disapointed in it (as i find myself disapointed every year in it)

I dont SS for the suite, which si good since I dont find it very well handled. Not to impuen the hard workign staff there, and my experience seems to be differnt from the majority.

My complaints largly stem to lack fo information printed about it and the lack of items outside traditional meal times

I didn't get a chance to go up and see the Supersponsor Lounge, so this is all third-hand info that I've heard from other Supersponsors:
  • Too high! Put it on the fourth floor next time, so people can just walk up a flight of stairs to get at it and not wait for an elevator.
  • The food wasn't up to par in the lounge.
  • The suite was too cramped (probably because there was 300 Supersponsors!)
  • Where was the lounge?!? Signage would have been nice, instead of a notice at Con Ops and Uncle Kage telling us during O.C.

My 2 cents on it.

I did visit it on Friday around 1:30PM, and I am sorry to say, but I was very disapointed the Supersponsor Suite this year. I felt it got worse than last year. I did not go back to it. I did not report it at the Con figuing Con-Ops and Dr. Sammy already have a ton of mess on their plate during the event as it is.

I noticed a downward trend since Cyntia left.

1. It was only open for a couple hours and there were no soda's or drinks available. Not even water or ice. I asked the great big heavy guy who ran it and just said "oh well" and shruged it off with a "sucks to be you" attitude. SO I felt kind of jipped on that part. Becaue I like a lot of other supersponsors paid for that, and didn't get what we used to out of it.

2. There was *NOTHING* in the way of food. Not even a bloody potato chip! Everything was empty. Empty crock pots, empty chip bowls, garbage all over the serving area. Not evem ice was available. Everything was pretty much empty. Garbage all over the sitting area and unemptied trachcans. Again the guy who ran it really didn't care and did not seem to want to be bothered with taking responsibility for that room and what it provides. The room was trashed, and poorly run! Basically leaving a very bad impression.

3. I really did not care for the attitude given to me when asked about refilling the drink bin, or if any other munchie stuff was going to be replenished.

4. I even picked up a bit in that room because I was embaressed with the way it looked.

I miss Cynthia, and I really miss the way she ran it. I don't know what went on up there after my first visit. I did not go back. I do feel the way it is ran needs some improvement and to be better oragnized. I think we need someone up there with a "Can Do" attiude instead of acting like it is such a major burden to do the job they volenteered for.

It needs some menu planning of a sort according to the ecpected no. of Supersponsors attendng. Sodas, drinks and ice should be "always" available. Chips and snacks should "always" be available. A slackers attitude does not need to be in there.

eyah teh staff did seem very bothered to be there, when i even saw them not hiding out in their adjoining room. It was very self service with very little available at the times i went.

as I said in my post AC Survey I've attended better general attendence con suites (at cons with 800+ people, less then the number of sponsers)

In the future, please report stuff like this to ConOps. That's the stuff we want to know about, and can help fix.

Well it was not that bad, But I did not get to Find it till SAT, and there was a lack of ICE and Soda, I have to wait a Hour for the Soda to get Re filled..
But My Biggest Bite in the Ass was Trying to get there, 21st Floor, Not a Good option, And I know you know the Problems with the Elevators on the weekends.. You should put it down to the 3 Floor near the Fur-Suit Cool off rooms, Change out, then let suit dry out, then full up, Drink then Get back into Fur-Suit.. That would Make a Lot of the Super Sponsor people Feel like High Rollers like we are being treated with respect..

Pros:
- The Lounge staff were absolutely excellent and accommodating
- The food was amazing (when it was there)
- Everything was very chill

Cons:
- Most of the times in which I did visit, it seemed that the food had been ravenously depleted (which may have been just my bad luck or bad timing)
- I had to ask a random fur where the supersponsor lounge was

Suggestions:
- Place a note inside the Supersponor bags / envelopes stating where the lounge is
- Figure out a way of covering the doorstop for the lounge. Every time the door closed it would slam shut on the door stop and would chip the paint off the door. If this was covered with something soft and pliable like what's on the end of pliars (the rubbery handle bit), this would limit the damage caused to the door.

Your staffer was an angel of a woman who apparently has a compulsion to keep us drowning in *delicious* deviled eggs. The fresh vegetable cuts were a VERY welcome sight as in years past they were not always in abundance. Maybe my timing was just really good (since I now see the comments above) but I was always able to find noshings when I showed up.

There were a few things that I will add my voice to-

Drinks- while the food was plentiful, there was a distinct lack of liquids. We did set up donation jars on the first day, but I don't know how much that helped.

Location- I did LOVE that the suite was literally just a few steps from *my* room, but getting to the 21st floor was definitely an exercise in patience. I echo the voices asking if it could be moved down to a more easily (by stairs?) accessable location. Maybe we could put it nearer to the main events, like in one of the other event rooms? Just throwing out ideas here.

Hours- No one seemed to know when the Lounge was going to be open each day. I try to be a bit of an early riser, and coffee would have been excellent to share before I made my trek to the day's activities. I know that when I left my room between 7:30-9am, the lounge was not open. Now, the people who run the lounge actually *stay* in the room and need their sleep, so maybe we can combine the idea of a more accessable location with more available/consistant hours? Again, just throwing out ideas here. :-)

That's all I can think of for now. Thanks for giving us a place to leave feedback, Kage! <3

I never really got a chance to go there. Next year there should be something added to the supersponsor bags telling where it is and when it is open.

I remembered about it and desperately wanted to be there at least once. I threw them a good chunk of change for the food... more than I paid any restaurant.

I heard the room number mentioned in Opening Ceremonies, and a couple of times thought that THIS year, I should like to go - Especially after reading a thread in the forums, where another individual described the joy felt in meeting other SuperSponsors there, and listening to tales of past conventions, Con Lore, and generally rub elbows with the type of folks who can and do plunk down $175 for the Greater Good.

I _LIKE_ the Greater Good.

...But I never made it there. Each time that I was of a mind to head up, the line at the elevators was a BIG deterrent (YES! I KNOW! YOU'VE HEARD IT ABOUT THE ELEVATORS! So I will stop whipping a dead albatross about it), and I was not in the mood for a 240 foot climb up crowded fire-escapes.

I DID go, the first year in Pittsburgh - and was impressed by the efforts of the two individuals to provide interesting, tasty food and a peaceful, clean environment in which to enjoy it. But I did feel, after watching for a couple hours, that it was something of a thankless task; I felt that many of the other supersponsors who visited during my respite there abused the privilege, and were mostly taking the hospitality offered for granted. It has been said of some courtesy suites that one could live off the offerings there, and not have to actually buy any meals - and damned if more than a few don't actually try to do just that.

So I can not offer any input, pro or con, on how THIS YEAR was; I DO appreciate that the convention offers it to us, but perhaps the money could be better spent. There is probably a substantial line of SuperSponsors who would wish to Lynch me for saying so, but this is truly how I feel. I am afraid that piles of food, freely offered, brings out the swine in too many of us. One would expect SuperSponsors to act in a manner more appropriate to our station.

Both my wife and I were SS for the first time this AC (But Not the Last!). We were not at the Opening ceremonies due to putting artwork up at the art show. So, since we saw nothing about it anywhere we thought there wasn't a SS lounge this year.

I must say thought that it was great being a SuperSponsor and we plan to do so again next year.

I kinda hate to post a review since I only made it up there once but, having said that....I managed to make it up there sometime on Friday around noonish after having asked one of the con security people where it was. There was no notice in my SS packet as to its location - maybe the nice person handing out the SS packets could have told us. Had expected to find plenty of snack foods like chips, crackers, cookies and whatnot but what little that had been laid out was pretty well picked over. A couple of crock pots had the remains of something that smelled really good but not enough to really sample. Didn't see any drinks out so asked one of the furs lounging about and was directed to a small tub on the floor off in a corner. Ended up with a small bottle of Diet Pepsi (8 or 10 oz?) and grabbed a couple of hershey's mini's in a bowl by the door as I left. Had planned on visiting again but was put off by the long line waiting to ride the elevators - didn't really feel like hoofing it up 20 floors just to be disappointed again. This was my first time as a SS and I guess I expected a bit more, especially after the last couple of cons visited had spectacular general con suites (ie: RCFM08)

I made it up to the room twice. The food was hit and miss in quality and availabity.Maybe a more limited menu might help in work load for the staff who run it? I dont neccesarily expect hot food or anything too fancy. Heck I`d be delighted if a premade grocery store sub or platter of decent cold cuts (not balgona or rubber ham, but something maybe bought before the con when its on sale? maybe prepackaged sliced lunchmeat) with sliced bread was made available with plenty of drinks. The drink situation both times I visited in the early evening after the dealers room closed was spotty. And also a note to other supersponsors...DONT BE PIGS!!!! I saw garbage lying around when I visted both times. The staff isnt maids! I was able to throw my stuff away after I ate it,why cant you? I also would make the suggestion of the room being no higher then the 8th floor please? (thats about my limit on the steps before I start to get winded when I`m carrying a bag of sketchbooks with me) Also I saw some efforts of trying to recycle the drink containers (pop cans/water bottles) Having a seperate large trash can for recyle material would be a great thing to do so cans dont get thrown in the trash.
