Question on costs
I live in Michigan (Near the detroit area) and I was wondering if you guys think it will be affordable to go (by car) to AC in 2010. Mostly I ask cause of gas prices, and I would like a general idea of what you guys think. =P

I drove from CA to AC two years in a row, so, yeah, I think it's affordable from Michigan.

Well, "affordable" is kind of relative depending on what your income is. But who can say what the price of gas will be like in two years?

Exactly my idea. Besides, there's quite a few furries in Detriot, and unless you're underage and live with your parents, carpooling isn't a bad idea.

There is no way of telling what the gas prices will be in 2010.

Or even if we will be using gas anymore by then.

Far more affordable than flying.

Did you check with Amtrak? Currently it's $206 for an overnight trip to Pittsburgh both ways -- leaving on the 25th to arrive on the 26th, and starting a return trip on the 30th.

Good luck!

Finding a few furs to carpool with would be your best bet. That way, you can split the cost of gas and the cost of the parking garage. Even if you have to drive a little distance to catch said ride.

That or you could always take a greyhound bus there and back.

Well, with an estimated fuel efficiency of about 25mpg, and estimated gas price of about $4/gal, your looking at about $50 each way for gas, plus about $10 per day for parking fees.

so you can estimate the driving cost to be about $150 in total.

I would suggest you look for a carpool from your area. there are a large number of furries in Michigan, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find someone else thats going.
