Explosion of a tired womans Fury!!!!! WTF!!!
Who the hell said i was going to or its okay to place me ona damn media contact list when I signed up with Bank ofAmerica. Scum Bag Banking operation! Since I have joined up with them because they do have nice rates on their svaings as well as free checking and I need a visa card for those few places who don't accept Express....
But FUCK!!!!!!!!!!! I have been called at like 6am, 8am, 10pm jus6t so they can try to sell me extra services. whatever happened to them just sending them through the mail and if you were interested you would reply back. Hunh? where the hell did that option go.
So I didnt get to sleep till 3am only to be woken up at 7am with kids playing outside our window....*grumble grumble grumble* I fall asleep again only to be woken up 8hours later to be offfered a payout freebie of accidental death insurance for 30 days incase I die or a loved one, so they will recieve some sort of payment.
once again I say WTF? When the hell did banks start offering such services? This is another reason I hate banks. I really do. You gibve them all your information ofr your profile acocunt and they abuse it to call you not if somethign is wrong, but to sell you more shit because its not enough they bleed you dry if you don't keep a certain amount in your account and dont bother to tell you either till you owe them because they cant automatically withdrawl anymore funds to pay the fees for such a thing.
I love Credit unnions, they don't sell me crap...and I know my money will be there during hard economical times because they don't function the same ways as a bank does. SCREW YOU BOA....screw you. Call me one more time and I am going to verbally tearof the poor head of the sap who was informed to call me shit ass early in the morning. Bettere yet I'll find out where they live and stick a huge ass pineapple up their Ass. Lets see them call then...hunh hunh....
oh and this is beautiful. My phone keeps all the #s of those who called me. so for shits and giggles and because I have mentioned to these folks time and time again that they are wasting their time to stop calling me....I tried calling back on of those 3's. It goes straight to their desk. they don't protect their employess phone line at all. Normally when you call back somethign liekt hat it just edirects you to a main call line. Hahhahahahahah Prank calls of fucking doom here I come if I didnt get removed properly from their damn media contactlist as I requested in which I had to do the run arorund of achieving such a customer service # since such a # doesnt exist on the boa line. So I just called the only sat open line, waited till the option of speakign to a reprsentative is available...(which always the last anfhardest option to find).
So ya I'm pissed......! X_x

Working All Day Just To Fall One Step Forward and One Step Back... Holy crap, I'm exhausted. But I took the last of my boxes from my bedroom out to the garage today. Now it's just trash pickup and the like for in there. I also did a quick bathroom sweep and packed up non-essentials - I own a hairdryer. O.o I didn't even realize this, the thing was buried in the back of the cabinet behind mountains of crap. I do need to go through the kitchen and start packing that all up, but I feel like I'm going to drop any moment. And then there's the living room, which I may start shortly as at least that's mostly small stuff that's easily packed. I definitely pulled a muscle, though. It's still sore and slightly swollen, and my range with my right arm is limited. I've been icing it in the evenings and then applying a heating pad, and rubbing some arnica and ginger into it before bed, since I can't exactly afford to completely rest it at the moment. As I told nijawial, first night in the new house, I'm taking a nice hot soak. We have a lovely bathtub and shower combo that I will gladly break in. :D And I have some delightful bath bombs I can put to use in it. We'll be officially moving in on Wednesday. So we have four days to finish everything. Which is a clear indicator that I should wrap this up and start packing the living room. Go Team Venture. Ghosts In the Machine.... Apparently, my computer was momentarily possessed by demons. I stuck in an unlabeled CD to see if it was blank or not, and the first track was nothing but 29 minutes of static and garbled voices. O.o Then my net died and some programs froze - which isn't rare, but the timing was eye brow raising. Track 2 was Sting's 'Message In a Bottle'. I am now taking down the Wall of Art. The Wall of Art, for those who don't know, is my closet door. My closet is closed in by two sliding doors, the faces of which are mirrors. I'm terrified of mirrors at night, so I covered with beloved fan art, gift art that had been done for me, sketches I got at cons, prints 'd ordered, things like that. It's terribly sad to take it all down and put it n boxes. But! It shall grace a new wall soon, and be joined with more! Because once I'm working, I can afford to commission all that cracked out fan art I want. Such as Arthurian Henry/Eileen, and Brock/Naomi. Plus, I have some VB art to print and hang now. Good progress is being made. Current Mood: thoughtful |

Just a quick one-shot dump So this is based on events from mallowmateys I just sat down after one of the log threads and churned it out. I've only re-read it once so it's probably full of errors. Anyway I figured I shouldn't just hored it all to myself someone else might want to read it. It's told from one character's point of view and you sort of have to figure out who's who yourself. The end should give it away. Ben Folds Five reunion concert?! In NC?! Ahh! Ben! You suck! How dare you reunite with your Ben Folds Five mates for ONE night in TWO weeks and perform "The Unauthorized Biography Of Reinhold Messner"! In North Carolina! Oh, sure, it's only 2200 miles away. I could drive that in... 32 hours. (And $550 in gas?!) D: Or spend $328 and fly, plus $150 for a hotel and car. Ug. |

State of the Fey Packed eleven boxes yesterday. Went to bed sore and stiff, have already slathered myself in emu juice. Lost internet somewhere around...I don't even know. I let the dog out, had a smoke, came back and was offline. Woke up with a fic writing itself my head. It's been a good year or so since that happened, so I'm rather happy, even if it's a bit of a bad time to get hit with instant-inspiration. I'm attempting to type it out now as I eat breakfast. The online Rhyming Dictionary I use is sort of sucking. I used to use it for doing Radio Posts - I'm not quite so talented as to be able to free verse anachronistic poetry on my own - and now I'm finding it coming in handy for VB fic titles. Since I like to keep my fic titles in the same vein as the episode titles, with little word plays and the like. Does anyone know of any good ones? I've been using Rhyme Zone. Fete has started at RW! And I adore the unholy union of spiteful_thing and sultry_lord. And it tickles me pink that the two Big Bads of the game are a pair of kick ass, tough, powerful women. And soon, futureshaman and damselesque will meet, and 'Lord Kemynor' can realize his bride-to-be is that terribly nervous girl he scared the crap out of the other day. :D Some days, I'd like to shake people while screaming 'I'm busy!' at them over and over and over again..... :D AAAHH. I'm jumping off a cliff! orz;;! Into some pillows. I came home and fell asleep then woke up at 7:00. NO. I had meant to do homework but I was so tired and I had a headache.. which, umh, I can still feel. THAT'S NOT THE PLAN. Plan was homework done then the rest of the night I can read comics and play *0*..
Also some annoying girl following me and sitting by me in school. AH, go away, I don't want any pseudo friends. ; ; She is the type of person that seems like.. she is terrified of silence. I am happy enough to sit and twiddle and draw quietly. Doesn't mean I am upset, or sad, or something else ridiculous. Stop asking me questions. You walk really slow. I feel bad for wanting to throw myself into a pack of demon bikers.
Which I almost got ran over today 8D.. She was like: IT'S CAUSE YOU'RE A FRESHMAN. WHUT. WHUT. Whut does that have to do with anything. HAHA?!

Sunday PAX Time to wander the exhibit hall. We entered all the raffles available in the morning. One at Stardock for a bag full of their games, one at Antec for some hard drive enclosures and computer cases, one a Dragon Age for a autographed steel shield, and one at FAE9 for a copy of their new game. Didn't win a one but it was worth a trying. My brother wanted to duel on quake 4 against one of the PMS Clan at the Patriot Memory booth. Line was too long so this didn't happen. There are those people who play a game for fun and then there are those people who play for a living. In the 3 matches we watched no-one even got a positive number of kills on PMS Missy, the local clan rep. I stopped by and played some Afro Samurai and Naruto Clash of Ninja 3. I liked Clash of Ninja 3's boss fights which are now quite epic battles with full screen bad guys. I got a Kakashi figurine at the booth while I was there. Warhammer online shows some promise the interface unfortunately looks so like WoW I thought is was WoW for a moment. There are some pimp features like public quests that all players of a given realm share in completing in a zone that then trigger scriptted events. The one I saw was breaching a castle wall after a set amount of explosives had been set in a public quest. Then I stopped by the NCSoft booth to play Aion. It has some very innovative aspects. You get the ability to sprout angel wings and fly at 10th level for instance and the character designer is really top notch. Your character will definitely look like no other player given the number of hair, eye, face, and body customizations you can make. And body size sliders can actaully make you look more heavy set or thinner as oppose to the same frame scaled up or down. And the attack animations are cool to watch as well. Now that being said it still plays like an fantasy MMO, classes types, cooldown timers and all. Played some Pirates of the Burning Seas. Which I found to be pretty ok for a MMO that is based on such a niche genre. And got a pirate bandana for my time. Took a picture of the Mutant Chonicles cosplayers. I wonder if the movie is going to be good? I like Ron Pearlman in general as Hellboy so I hope it's good. The Mutant Chronicles miniatures game is very venerable at this point it came out when I was in college 10 years ago so and I found it cool that I could indulge in video game fandom and tabletop fandom in the same exhibit hall. It's good to be BAD! And oh yes after 3 stops at the Champions Online booth I finally got one of the trivia questions and won a lovely Champion's backpack and Ping Pong ball gun (they were out of the skate board decks, bummer). Thank you knowledge that "Gleep the Wonder Monkey was Zan and Jana's side kick in Superfriends." I'll root for Champions when they release in Spring 2009 since I'm a sucker for super hero games. Saturday Flashback: We broke for dinner at a sushi bar down town and met up with Paxton and Marie. Paxton is a friend of my brother's. Eunsu joined us a little while later and we had a nice dinner. Returned for the 4th round of the Omeganaut competion which was kicked off by Gabe and Tyco as the Sex Generals rocking out on Rockband 2 with Kara, Gabe's wife, on vocals. The Saturday night concert just wasn't all that memorable. I can't even remember the first band's name. The 2nd band the Darkest Hillside Thickets (the Cthulu Metal Band) pretty much drove most of the crowd out of the auditorium since most of the people in the crowd missed being exposed to death metal growing up and just couldn't get into it. Then Mc Frontatlot of Nerdcore took the stage to spin his special brand of Nerd rap. Followed by the Minibosses, I left half way through the Minibosses set because I've heard them quite a few times. Of all the video game bands the Minibosses really have the most spot on renditions of the video game music they play to where you can really recognize they tune from the game they are playing. Sunday Dinner: PAX was all said and done at 6:00PM. So Steve, Eunsu and I went to Elliot's on pier 59 for a seafood dinner. I'm allways happy when I go to an expensive resteraunt and the food lives up to the price on the menu. The seafood was fresh and well prepared and that is all I can ask for from a seafood place. And with that I got what little sleep I could to return to Phoenix early Monday morning. Current Mood: chipper |

Saturday PAX Got a late start Saturday. The Friday concert didn't get out until 1:00AM and we didn't get to bed until 2:00AM. We got to the venue at 10ish with just enough time to catch "Let's Draw a Comic Strip" with Gabe and Tyco. Mainly esoteric Penny Arcade fan questions were asked. Q: What's the next game you are going to make? A: Still working on the Precipice series but the next one definitely will be Paint the Line. Tactical card based online multiplayer ping pong game and whatever other gaming adjetives we can think of adding. Q: Given your view on cosplay and people cosplay Gabe and Tyco do you find it creepy? A: No, no not at all I'm pretty OK with people cosplaying us. But cosplaying as my wife not that eh... that's sorta creepy. Spent the next 2 hours trying to get into pannels, with no luck. No dice for the Fallout 3 panel in the main auditorium right after Gabe and Tyco, I should of just hung around. This doubly bummed me out because apparently you needed to have attended the panel to get the Fallout 3 hand puppet. 300 people line for a 100 person room for the "Sex in Videogames" panel. So my brother and I just settled on 2 rounds of playing Castle Crashers. Which is my new favorite game for the forseeable future. While I'm not playing Tales of Vesperia. Went to the exhbit hall and waited for the Dragon Age demo. The spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate, the game looks nice and the unlike the Neverwinter Nights engine can support some really epic combats. The dialog tree looks like it is going to have a significant amout of voice acting through out. Looks like they are borrowing some ques from Mass Effect and having dialog scenes with multiple camera angles in a more cinematic style. The feature I really liked was the "killing blow" mechanic where once you sap that last bit of a target's HP you do a killing blow animation like a decapiation or jumping on an ogre's chest and driving a sword into it's eye. Brother got a swag Naruto Clash of Ninja 3 - Haku figurine from the booth next door. Took a quick look at the table top gaming. I am heartened to see there was a good selection of people playing board games, role playing games, and card games of all sorts. If I come to PAX again I think I'll set some time asside to actaully play some Magic the Gathering and DnD. I had just enough time to get a demo of Anima a tatical miniatures game from Fantasy Flight Games. Behold-er the PAX gaming Annex. Stopped by the Cryptic Studios Champion's Online booth for the Superhero trivia contest they did every 30 minutes. Prizes were a Champions skate board deck, ping pong ball gun, and Champions backpack. The questions were sort of tough the time I went I didn't end up getting anything that time. And I forgot to mention on Friday the Cryptic Studios team held a free dinner and open bar at the Seattle public library. I got to ask some questions of Zeke the content designer and he had some good answers on how they are making content better fit into story lines and making sure mobs at least have the appearance of doing meaningful things instead of wating round. Instanced zones no longer will be a randomly generated but instead will be more hand crafted with more scripted and specialized content. And I got my villian's ID printed at the Champion's booth. Sing, Sing a Song.... So, I'm going through my Giant Drawer of CDs, and popping in all my CD mixes to rip them since I lost all my music on my computer. Some of them are labeled, most of them aren't, and the ones that are labeled...are labeled by me. For those who don't know me IRL, my handwriting is atrocious. Worse than chicken scratch. This oftentimes means I'm staring at CDs going '...what the hell is this? That's not English! Where are the vowels?!?!'. Generally I can make out roughly what it's supposed to be - such as 'Dolfce' = 'Police', 'Bcnx TX' = 'Fenix TX', 'Bagles' = 'Eagles' etc. I found a CD that, as far as I could make out, was labeled 'X-Men Mix'. I was very curious as to what the hell I'd put on an X-Men OST, so I of course popped it in. I was greeted with David Bowie's rendition of 'Little Drummer Boy'. .... Oh. X- mas mix. I Don't Give a Damn About My Lack of Etiquette I woke up with 'Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite' stuck in my head. Which makes, to me, little to no sense, as while I was packing yesterday I had a steady diet of nothing but Meatloaf and Led Zeppelin. Another funny story regarding my niece, upon hearing my computer's custom error message: D: ...Why is angry Kronk in your computer? Me: Because Patrick Warbuton only has one voice. D:.....Oh. And now I'm afraid I will never be able to watch The Emperor's New Groove the same way ever again. Damn my mind, and all of that. The dog woke me up at around 12:30 AM, needing to go out, and it's completely thrown me off. I've got to go pick up the dining table and chairs, and I'm having a hell of a time waking myself up to get going. This also means dealing with the truck, which I abhor, as it's cramped and difficult for me to get in and out of. Icon has nothing to do with this post, I just wanted to stare at Brock's ass as I typed this up. I have a problem, I know, it's horrible. I also have some strange fetish for naked, blood covered, fictional men. Posted my own wishlist at the Fall Fandom Free For All. It's here, for anyone interested. Due to my current level of fandom activity being restricted to mainly small, out of the way fandoms, I'm not expecting much, but hey. I figured why not? And I made some icons for people, because icon making is fun and I wanted to fulfill some requests. I need to finish my coffee and get going, as there's also the bank and various other errands I need to run. Go Team Venture. Current Mood: groggyCurrent Music: Pepper barking at something again.... |

Friday Night PAX Friday:
PAX didn't start until 2:00PM so I slept in late and then headed out to do some grocery shopping. I drove my brother's MR2 to the grocery store which on top of being a very low slung sports coupe (which makes getting in and out of it awkward) has a good number of performance mods. A super stiff suspension, really massive clutch and tranny are the mods that make it a work out to drive. The clutch really requires you to stomp down and the short throw shift lever requires some serious elbow grease to shift. So after some effort not to peel out at every stop Eunsu (brother's girlfriend) and I got to the store and picked up groceries and made lunch. Got to PAX just in time to wait in the most retarded pre-registration ticket line ever. Here's the break down. Everyone pre-registered and not many got their tickets mailed to them. So we have people buying tickets the day of going there merry way in less than 5 minutes while all those people who paid in advance have to wait in a hour long line.
This unfortunately set the pattern for the rest of the PAX convention as in general there were lines rolling out the door for everything because there just wasn't enough room for people in general.
Gripes aside now on to the fun stuff. Attended the key note speech given by Ken Levine creative director for Irrational Games of BioShock fame. Ken Levine took a page from Wil Wheaton's key note and described his experience growing up in Nerd Siberia: DnD and Comic books, and how leaving and then returning to that culture eventually lead to him joining Looking Glass Studios as a writer/game Designer. Like all parts of the entertainment industry in general all the senior people get into the industry by some serendipitous happenstance. Then Mike Krahulik (Gabe), and Jerry Holkins (Tyco) took the stage to welcome people to PAX and do their first of 3 Q&A sessions. Some highlights were "Q: Jerry if having no hair could give you super powers what would they be? R: Hmmm, let me think. The iron will not to jump off this stage and kill you right now." Porkfry got his wish and got everyone to crack their knuckles at once to the disgust of the Mike. Rather than doing a rendition of the requested "My Beruel" Jerry sung a dirty song from the fictional band The Sex Generals from the comic strip. And a questioner had a great lead up thanking the pair for PAX leading into Rick rolling the audience.
Did the whirlwind tour of he exhibition hall to see what swag was available. The hall was pretty much closing by the time we got there so we finished up there to get in line for the concerts. The gaming music concerts are a main attraction of PAX and this evening had The OneUps, Freezepop, and Jonathan Coulton. Highlights: OneUps: Diablo III Theme Freezepop (with the DS light show): Plastic Stars Jonathan Coulton with Felicia Day (The Guild & Doctor Horrible): The Portal Song

Something's Going Around.... I seem to have caught some sort of bug over the weekend. I was fine until maybe 11 o'clock last night, when suddenly I found myself with aching, stuffed sinuses and a cough so bad I was throwing up. O.o On the mend now, it seems, but that was rather hellish. Anyway, here's that 25 First Lines meme that's going around, where you take the first lines from the most recent 25 of your fics and look for a pattern. My patterns are...clearly evident. I actually did this a few days ago, but didn't post, but I felt there should be some content of at least mild interest here. ( 25 First Lines )Why has no one yet told me how horrible I am at first sentences? *winces* I need to work on my opening lines. Standing alone, without the rest of the paragraph to support them, they fall rather flat. And half of them don't even read like opening lines, they look like they were taken from the middle of a paragraph. So in the sense that I know what I need to work on, this was a worthwhile meme to do. I hope I start feeling better shortly, so I can get back to packing. Current Mood: sick |

It Had a Heart of Chrome and a Voice Like a Horny Angel.... Picked out a gorgeous sofa and loveseat today! Dark fawn colored, plush, comfortable, all micro-fiber for easy cleaning, and perfect for our living room. So now we have a table and chairs plus a basic living room set. My god, that couch is more comfortable than my bed!
Took Nija home, ended up going out to eat because no one wanted to cook, and am now back embroiled in packing.
I've discovered, on packing up my bookshelf, that I own far too many WWII paranormal books. You know the kind, the 'what if the Nazis had werewolves?' or 'what if the Nazis had vampires?' or zombies, or whatever. I have a whole damn shelf of the things - all of which were gifts. It got to the point where whenever I picked up a WWII book, I'd have to check and see if it was a normal one, or some cracked out historical AU. I also didn't realize quite what a...thriving genre it seemed to be. It makes me wonder where all the Civil War, Revolutionary War and etc werewolf and vampire AU books are. Come on, it'd be awesome! An elite force of British vampire soldiers known as the Red Teeth? Money in the bank, my friends. ;)
Yesterday! Watched lots of things! I finally advanced on Twelve Kingdoms - I don't know how far I got, but we watched it for like five hours straight. Then we needed a break, and I went digging through movies, and learned Nija had never seen The Talented Mr. Ripley. Well, I had to remedy that ASAP. And since it's one of my absolute favorite movies, I had no objections to watching it! So we watched that, and then finished up with some Venture Bros. Assassinanny 911, Escape to the House of Mummies, and Twenty Years to Midnight. Then Invisible Hand of Fate was on AS, so we watched that. God, I love Brock's Jedi braid.
I can't think of anything clever to end this entry with, and can't seem to think of what else I was going to talk about. It's been a long, busy weekend and I haven't had much sleep.
Go Team Venture!

I'm nervous about Gustav. I hope that people respond to the mandatory evacuation, but I'm still not looking forward to the news when it hits. David told me this morning that Pandora may be shutting down! So sad in my heart! A 3 minute clip from Buffy: the Animated Series with the voices of Anthony, Alison, and Brendon has leaked on youtube! I hope it finally gets picked up and that the cast (minus Sarah) is still willing to do the voices! We can't hear that you're older.. much.. I could totally do this: "On the Rise" from Dr Horrible on piano and offer sheet music. But would I? Both take the time and subject myself to the scrutiny of the youtubers? Loved this Daily Show spoof of Obama's biographical film set to Lion King. "One man seems ready enoughish to lead!" |

recent pixel icons? Recent icons from the last batch of commissions. Both of these proved to be way more challenging than expected D: Um hey rustydragonfly, after I replied saying you were on my list I never heard from you about the commission. I've also been considering sketch commissions (cleaned up sketches, not very loose), they're quick and stuff, but I really don't know who would be interested, digital sketches of course... maybe I should try badges again... So far it's really nice outside :D, it rained again last night so it's all cloudy and cooool. FALL IS COMING FALL IS COMING :D This is my favorite season EVER.
