Welcome to anime-melee, a combined hush and lyrical icontest community picking up where anime_medley left off. Members may submit anime, manga, or RPG icons to both hush and lyrical themes each week. The more the merrier so feel free to join us! |
| G E N E R A L R U L E S |
If you're joining us from anime_medley, the rules are the same. For those of you who are new, here's the rundown: • Each member may submit up to 2 icons per each theme (this means up to 2 for the Hush theme and up to 2 for the Lyrical theme for a total of up to 4 icons per challenge). a. Fanart may not be used. This includes doujinshi. b. While shounen-ai and shoujo-ai are permitted, hentai is NOT. • All submissions must be from an anime, manga, or RPG from Japan • Submissions must fit LJ userpicture requirements (100x100 and less then 40 KB) • Submissions may be no older than SEVEN DAYS. • Submissions may not be advertised prior to the completion of the challenge. Don't post your icon anywhere else. Do not get your friends to vote for you. Do not vote for yourself. • LJ userpics is not an acceptable form of hosting. • For Lyrical submissions: At least 3 consecutive words must be used from the lyrics provided. The lyrics may not be altered in any way. No additional text is allowed. • For Hush submissions: Absolutely NO text is allowed. This includes tinytext or any other brushes that may be misconstrued as text. • While cross-participation is allowed, it may only be done if the schedule of the other icontest runs concurrently and if moderators from both communities are informed of the cross-participation. |

Submission times: Friday (10:00 p.m. EST) - Friday (9:00 p.m. EST) New themes will be posted Friday evenings. Submissions can then be left in a screened comment to the theme post from Friday to Friday in the following format: Submission Example  URL: http://i17.tinypic.com/80o3i4z.png SERIES: D.Gray-Man Voting times: Friday (10:00 p.m. EST) - Sunday (5:00 p.m. EST) Voting for both Hush and Lyrical categories will be posted in one entry with a separate poll or comment form for each. Depending upon turnout, voting may be in the extended multiple category style (Best Overall, Best Color, etc) or in the condensed placement style (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Members may cast their votes in a screened comment or poll and must vote for BOTH categories. Winners will be posted on Sunday. |
