| About: | Welcome to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} anime_abc, a weekly icon contest with a focus on anime/manga icons. Every week, you will be given a letter in the alphabet (we go in order, starting with A). Then, you make an icon that has to do with that letter. A word in the text of the icon could start with the letter, the show/movie/manga that the icon is from starts with the letter, a character in the icon’s name starts with the letter, etc…Monday – Friday (by 8:00PM EST) // SUBMIT Saturday – Sunday // VOTE Sunday // RESULTS You submit by leaving a comment on the challenge post with your icon. Comments on challenge posts will be screened, so only you and the original poster will see them. Please use the following format for submission. Include the icon, url, source (movie/show the icon came from), and how the challenge letter relates to your icon. Your submission should look something like this:  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v15/singingllama/Bebop/spike_ready.gif Cowboy Bebop C is for Cowboy Bebop 1. One icon per contestant per challenge. 2. If you submit an icon, it must be your own personal work. 3. All icons must meet livejournal standards - under 40kb and 100x100px in GIF, JPG, or PNG format. 4. Icons must come from anime source material. Video games or J-pop is not allowed in this community. Fanart is also not allowed. Know where your images are coming from! 5. Icons must be remotely hosted on a site that allows direct linking (you can use a free Photobucket account). 6. Keep icons anonymous throughout the run of the contest (don’t post them elsewhere before voting is over). You may not submit an icon that you have used or posted elsewhere. *NEW* 7. Your icon must be fresh for the challenge (made within 7 days of it). No cookie-cut icons will be tolerated and mods reserve the right to make the call. Voting occurs in response to the voting post via a poll or comments. The results of the vote/comments to voting post will not be screened. You must be a member of the community to vote. All members of the community are allowed to vote regardless of whether they submitted an icon. You vote for you top three icons (votes are weighted, so make sure to vote in proper rank). You may not vote for your own icon. Based on the results of the voting, winners will place first, second, and third. In addition, a Moderator’s Choice icon will be announced with the results.
