 This community is for posting animal photo LiveJournal icons (user pictures). They can be pretty, cute, ugly, funny -- as long as they're animals, we'll take 'em! This is an open community; anyone can join, provided they read and agree to abide by the rules below. | |

 The icons you post must be of your own creation. Posting stolen icons will result in your swift expulsion from this community.
 Only icons of actual animal photographs are to be posted here. This means no drawings or cartoons. If you'd like to post drawing/cartoon animal icons, there are better places for it, like ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) disney_icons and mermaid_wings. Click here to see the communities that list "icons" as an interest.
It is okay to have a human in an icon, as long as they are accompanied by an animal and the animal is the predominant figure in the icon.
Please use the LiveJournal cut tag when posting more than three icons. (You may post the first three before the cut, as long as the rest come after.) Information about and directions for using the LiveJournal cut tag can be found here.
Try to consolidate all of your icons for one day into one post. This will help to conserve space. Click here to learn how to edit and add to a post you've made in a community.
When taking an icon, please comment on the icon's post. Make sure to credit the creator in the keywords.
Do not make requests for specific or personalized icons in this community. If you'd like to post such a request, please do so at iconrequests.

Do not post activist messages here, such as "Save the pandas now!" There are plenty more appropriate communities for this type of post, such as animal_respect and animal_rights.
