This is a community by animal rights advocates for animal rights advocates. This is a place to ask questions, share information and have intelligent discussions.

If you are someone who does not agree with the animal rights philosophy, that's fine. You're free to think and feel however you want to. However, we don't really care to hear it here. Once again, this is a community for animal rights advocates. There's really no point in coming here to insult, belittle, or be a nuisance. We have no tolerance for that shit here anymore and you will be banned without notice.

We're not trying to censor people. We just want to keep this as a friendly forum for animal rights advocates to have discussions and share information without being attacked in every post.

Rules:

» No off-topic posts. They will be deleted and you may lose posting privileges (that will be judged on a case-by-case basis.)
» All large or graphic pictures and extensively long articles must be put behind an LJ-cut. Posts including graphic material or links to it must include a warning with a short description. Any post that doesn't follow this rule will first receive a warning, and then be deleted if it is not edited.
» No trolling. If you troll, you'll be banned, simple as that.
» No disallowing comments. If you make a post disallowing comments, it will get deleted. Don't post something here if you can't handle what people have to say in response.
» No pictures-only posts just to show off your animals. There are an abundance of livejournal communities created solely for this purpose where you can share.
» Once again, try to have intelligent discussions here. If you come here for the sole purpose of starting unnecessary fights, your comments will be deleted and you'll be banned. This includes resorting to childish insults. This is a community for mature discussions. If you can't handle this rule, don't bother commenting.
» You may advertise your community here only if it is related to animal rights issues.
» Please take your wild and companion animal care questions to stupidpetowners or spo_prevention. Their members are often better capable at helping you out!
» Link to other livejournal posts at your own risk. Don't expect them not to find out and disturb you.

Closed Topics

In this community, there are subjects that we sometimes seem to beat into the ground. Because many of us are sick of talking about them after doing so excessively, they are now closed here. If you post about any of the following, your post will be deleted. This applies to the following:

» The Bonsai Kitten website: It is FAKE
» Anti-vegan and other anti-AR LJ communities: Posting about them only brings them extra attention (and many times, it brings their community members here.)
» PETA debate: PETA discussion is allowed, but if it turns into a flame war, comments will be frozen.
» Nathalia Edenmont: If you want to sign the petition against her, please go here.
