| About: | This community is a place for people to come together and discuss their experiences with animals in need. From starting your own organization to simply rescuing a stray off the street, we all have a spark of compassion that sets us apart. Here you can discuss ideas and strategies that you have encountered while rescuing needy animals. Also, we are here to support each other because, while rewarding at times, this business can also lead to heartbreak. Our courage and determination is what gives us the passion that others admire.
A few suggestions...
-- Please limit pictures to behind lj-cuts.
-- Be considerate of all.
-- This probably isn't the best place to post info about animals in need (even though most of the pictures are adorable) - I'm pretty sure most people here are already operating at full capacity in their own area.
-- Please don't post full transport requests, those of us that can help with that are already getting dozens in our email. If you are absolutely desperate then post a one liner and an email address to contact, ie "I need transport help in TX and OK - [email@domain.com]". Also, be sure to have permission before posting anyone's email except your own.
-- I personally love to get updates about adoptees and how they are doing, so keep in touch!
