Hello.
I know alot of people are connecting and wanting people to visit their towns and what not but I'll just be honest. I'm not a social person but my husband and I just got a wii and City Folk. We need fruit! We don't know many people with a wii or animal crossing. :(
If you'd like to help me in my search for fruit I can try to trade for something or I am an artist and can do a drawing or something like a commission in return.

So the other week Nook asked me what was the most important thing a store could provide...or something on those lines. I think I said good hours. I had a Nookington's but he renovated and went back to Nook N' Go. I was wondering if anyone else had this happen...it is definitly something new for me to happen. I like the hours but I miss the big selection =/

sorry for posting under another username. I'm LadyStarscream. Has anyone encountered a problem ehere, after going on Animal Crossing (for gamecube) for two weeks has had a controller freeze-up? I can pick up minor items in my house, but not large items! I can't even pick up my stereo! I have been waiting on amemory card (smeone was going to send me one), and I can't save without it! I can pck up minor items like apples, and the turnips I just spent several thousand bells on, but not any of my large items. I can't get out of my house, becaue I dropped a couple of the larger items so I'd have space in my posckets to rearrange the other items in my house. Has anyone else experienced this? it's the first time I have! ever! I've played 'crossing for several years now and I've never had this kind of defect! mycontroller works just fine picking up minor objects, like apples and those turnips, and I have a free space in my pocket (items menu) for my stereo, but my controller won't letme pick it up! I'm so confused, I'm about to restart my game! can anyone get me out of this?
any help would be much appreciated.

sorry, I'm not trying to spam the comm or anything, I just had another quick question I was wondering if anyone had the aswer to. I've never known about the possibility of networking across the net in Animal Crossing (either with codes or a modem), and I was just wondering: can I send mail to people in other towns? (I have Animal Crossing for gamecube. not the wii.) does it take a code? or is it just impossible?
I was just wondering if anyone would like to send items back and forth with item codes. I have all kinds of stuff, and I'm allways stocking up on Gyroids and retting rid of them for new ones. (what can I say? I'm a sucker for the little noisemakers. XD.) also, music. If anyone wants to trade (if you can do that?) I only have a couple of tunes right now, but later I'll probably have extras.
Also, right now I have an excess of money. No, I'm not kidding. I haven't gotten my memory card yet, so I can't get my house enlarged and start paying it off again. Right now I have 240,000 bells sitting in my house taking up space. And I can't spend it all!!!! Help! XD!
I tried buying everything at Nooks every day for a week, but I end up selling half the stuff back to him anyway, not to mention fruit and other things. And the idiot I am, planted several money tress. (haha. I thought they wouldn't grow like the first two.) so now every two days I have three bags of 30,000 bells on the tree (the other two aren't big enough to make fruit yet, though.)
anyone want some? I'll send it 10,000 bells at a time. I'm looking to get rid of about half of it. (that's 24 people, if anyone wants any. Just leave your city and player, I'll try to get codes and send it.)

I was just over at fanfiction.net, and I decided on a whim to check out the games section. Lo and behold, there is a ton of Animal Crossing fanfiction. I never even knew 'Crossing fiction existed!
I found a really interesting (and rather amusing) little story about what Gulliver does with his time when he's not washing up on people's beaches. XD. It's quite well-written ,and sounds like he's narrating it himself! There's probably more good stuff to be found, but I didn't look around. I thought I'd come back here and let you guys know about it. here's the link to the menu:

You'd think my town would be very... lived in by now, but I have a short attention span so I'm also making new people/ towns.
How many people here still play the gamecube version? Anyone would like to swap some items (codes)?

So, I got into a discussion with one of my friends about Animal Crossing, and she seemed interested in it. I was trying to brag to her show her some different things that might have been posted on the web (cause I think that YouTube videos aren't really all that amusing, imo) and I came across this:
Tortimer Jumps for Cherries!!
It's a cute little game. Unfortunately, it's not finished, as the author says, but it's cute for the first minute you play with it. Pretty creative too. :D I see that this person also has Zelda games, among the things in their gallery..
Soooo chyeah! Have fun with it! :D If anyone finds anything similar to this for Animal Crossing, let me know. I wanna play cause playing Call of Duty on Veteran level is annoying the crap outta me and I need better entertainment than my 360..! :B

I just bought a gamecube and started playing Animal Crossing again. I haven't played in about three years, but I've been playing it before that for about two years. My town is Praxus, but I don't know the code for it yet.
I mentioned putting together a help comm for beginners, and I've made one, animal_xing_101, called Animal Crossing 101, a beginner's guide to Animal Crossing.
I kind of fibbed about having friends who wanted to play it. eheh. It's my mom. LOL. I didn't know how she'd feel about me saying stuff about her on the internet. Especially a comm where I don't know anyone. Anyway, hopefully that'll change. And if you have any advice or questions, please come over to the comm and post there! I'll post again here when I have my city code. I'm going to get an internet connector for my gamecube so I can visit other towns, so I might show up in yours! I'll send you a letter if I stop in, though. :-)

We're going to be playing all afternoon on and off, with the gates open. Nook's has a Throne for sale today for 800,000 bells (I can't afford it) if anyone wants it. Basic rules apply. Hello. My name is Renee. I just started playing Animal Crossing City Folk in December. I have become mildly addicted. I lost many days of my life to the one on GameCube.

...About the super horrible Prima guide.
A little Background
Nintendo has decided they will no longer Publish Nintendo Power Guides for their games, but instead is licensing Prima to do them all from now on.
Now if you have in the past purchased Prima guides for AC incarnations you know that more than likely you went on a grail search for the Power Guide ten minutes later due to the inaccuracies of the Prima guide (Omissions of important info, poor layout on the items lists, out and out lies etc.)
I have found that most Prima guides are devoid of any helpful info, mostly telling you what you already know, and coming off like a fanboy review of the game.
Now to the bones of the conversation
They said to complain to Prima.
They officially to me washed their hands of any responsibility for the guide and told me they were sorry I was unhappy ( despite the fact that every AC:CF community has forum threads about this shoddy guide...apparently it's just me who is unhappy)
So I am asking anyone who is even mildly annoyed by the Prima guide for AC:CF specifically, OR any of the AC prima guides from Past versions OR any Prima guide for other Nintendo games, Please take a few minutes to E-mail nintendo@noa.nintendo.com and let them know how you feel about this business decision of theirs.
Please remember to be Polite and voice your specific concerns with the guides. Don't rant or Nerd Rage at them and don't make threats (I'll never play another Nintendo game ever... etc) Just state your issues with the guide and express your desire to see a return of Quality to the Guides no matter who publishes them. ( keeping in mind that it is possible the guide department of Nintendo Power was shut down for business reasons and they may have found they needed to outsource this operation, remember as long as the guide is accurate it doesn't really matter who publishes it)
