So I finally got my copy of Stop In The Name of Pants yesterday, and had a total ditherspaz when my mom said she might get two books instead of me getting my Georgia while at the book shop. I just would not have it. I'm halfway through now, but...

Is it just me, or is this book... not as good as the previous ones? I mean, it's had its amazing Georgia, Libby, and Angus moments, but overall, I'm not as impressed this time around. Is it because I'm because so used to her voice that I just don't find the diction as appealing anymore?

Also, ANGUS!!!!! ;O; When Georgia came home it was so devastating. asdlhfdlh I think I started to cry. That sort of stuff always makes me weepy. And Dave the Laugh being with her at the hospital... ;lahslasdhlasdj!!!

Anyway. Wanted to share my sadnessosity and disappointedosity.

the movie

Having now seen the trailer & some clips from the movie, I wish to raise a few issues, and will pray to God that I can be proved wrong on at least some of them!

Things I have observed/heard about the movie that are, quite frankly, shocking:

1. Jas does not appear to have a fringe :|
2. Apparently there will be no berets?
3. The title. I know this is something I obviously cannot be proved wrong about, but I need to voice my concerns nonetheless. I am saddened that they changed it. :(
4. Apparently Mabs, Jools & Ellen have all been compressed into ONE GIRL because of "racial equality". Fine, but why get rid of all three characters? Why not just cast one of them as Indian/black/whatever? Ellen especially is so integral to the cast with the Dave the Laugh stuff & so on (and not to mention she is very humorous), so what's the deal? Have they cut her completely? :/

If anyone wants to clear up any of these issues for me, or just voice their worries as I have, please feel free!!!!

And just so this entry isn't being a horrible, wormy, negative one... I am so so so so loving the cat they use as Angus, and Alan Davies!!! :D

So I heard that Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging will NOT be released in the United States.

And then I went to IMDB and found all the opening dates for other countries, but not for the States.

Anybody know if this is indeed truth? Because that would be...well, no, I cannot describe the feeling.

I have literally gone a bit mental. I say a bit, i mean quite a lot. I say quite a lot a mean totally.

I bought this book last week called "Top Gossip" and it had loads of pictures from the film and showed what they were changing, keeping so on so on.

Anyway. I will paste what i wrote on the IMDB forum as it did take me a while.
Also no copywright or anything intended. Please dont lock me up in a lezzie prison.

I have bought the bible. Honest. Not that one with baby jesus in. THE ACTUAL BIBLE FOR THIS FILM!

I went on Amazon to have a look at the ATAPS soundtrack and i notcied a Poster book for the film and a Top Gossip book. Being an obsessed crazed fan i of course bought both and the one has MANY spoliers about what is included in the film with a storyboard with pictures. It only gave a basic outline of the plot but im literally reading it every 5 minutes!!!

Prepare yourself there are loads of spoilers!!

I was going to scan it in here but i am paranoid i would get done for copywright and be taken off to Cell Block H! But anyway.
In the book there are the usual stuff, quizzes and party tips but it gives you a storyboard for some segments on the plot. It seems they have changed A LOT but i think it will translate to film better this way...still it took me at least an hour to get used to some of it.

BOY STALKING TIME

This shows some pictures of the ace gang spotting Robbie and Tom..who are twins!!! (unidentical of course) and jas and georgia spot they work in an organic veggie shop! so at least they have kept that in. But of course this means tom and robbie are the same age, meaning tom should have the same problems vis a vis Jas's age as Robbie does with Georiga! Anyway. Lots of pics of Jas talking to Tom and Robbie holding this little cat while Georgia chats to him. Then Georgia spots Robbie with Lindsay walking to a band reharsal.

Lindsay Stalking timne!
Some pictures of the ace gang following lindsay and finding that she does indeed where a thong and fake boobs. Also some pictures of Georgia's snogging lessons from Peter Dyer and Peter turning up at her house with some flowers.

There are lots of character profiles inbetween and a rather funny picture of Gee's grandad making his false teeth dance on a table.

The Angus Advantage

This is a part of the plot im going to have to get used to. Instead of Angus going missing like he does at the end of ATAFFS and Robbie coming round after finding him, Georgia sees that Robbie likes cats and leaves Jas with Angus in the park. She then goes round to Robbie's shop with a "lost cat" flyer to put up in his window and Robbie says he will help her look for him. This is the bit inthe trailer where Georgia is air guitaring and walking along with Robbie.
Lots of pics of them walking along together (btw aaron johnson is a COMPLETE sex god) but meanwhile in the park Angus spots a poodle and goes after it. Luckily "Tom comes to the rescue". Robbie then finds Angus at the park and gives him to Georgia and Tom asks Jas out.

I prefer the way Lousie wrote it but it does look quite funny.

Another change to the plot is that when Vati goes to Kiwi a go go land Georgia starts planning an extravagant 15th party, only to find Lindsay is having a birthday party too, so there will be some competition. Also Jas apparantly starts choosing Tom over the ace gang and "wearing thongs instead of knickers". Now that is just SAFT as Jas is the Queen of the big knickers...but allas i will not kick up a fuss. There are also some pics of Lindsay pushing Georiga over during Hockey and the ace gang seeing Robbie turn away when Lindsay tries to kiss him.

There is a section called Major Boy Fiasco where at Katie Walshes party Peter tries to snog Georgia and she falls in a bush and everyone sees her gigantic knickers. Georiga Groome looks really pretty in these pictures and i love the dress she is wearing!! Anyway Robbie and lindsay see and as the book says it is "deeply unfab".

It also seems that Gurinda has made a bigger deal out of the Jem and Mutti storyline as there are pictures of them drinking wine together and Georgia sneaks into one of Mutti's salsa classes and sees them dancing together. This gets Georgia all upset and she goes to her dads office to try and call him. doesnt sound very like Georgia but then again this is a Nickolodean film!

The Elastic Band Theory

This is another bit in the film that has been changed. There does seem to be skips in the plot between picture boards but it seems that Robbie doesnt say "My brother has a mate called Dave, he is a laugh". There is a pic of Robbie Jas and Tom going swimming and Georgia takes Libby to the pool so she can see robbie. But she has had a fake tan disaser and tries to hide her legs. There are some pics of everyone smiling in the pool but then georgia does a handstand in the pool and shows her "cheesy puff" legs off. But robbie finds it hilarious and there is a picture of Robbie giving Georgia a whopper of a kiss in the pool! Robbie promises to call...

Apprantly Lindsay changes the date of her party to clash with Georgias and Robbie doesnt call to invite her to the gig. So She borrows men are from mars women are from venus and creates the elastic band theory. She asks Dave to the gig to make Robbie jealous and there are pics of them dancing and one with Daves arm around Georgia with Robbie looking miffed. Then Dave tries to kiss Georgia at her gate but she turns away.

There is then some really funny pictures of the ace gang ding what might be the phone box dance and insturctions on how to do it.

Another big change to the plot is that Jas tells Tom who tells Robbie and Dave that Georgia is just using Dave and Dave calls her a heartless user and there is a pic of him looking really mad/upset. Georgia has it out with jas on the netball court and they start arguing leading to Georgia kicking Jas. Georgia is sent to do litter duty as punishment and Robbie sees her and tells her "shes just a kid and all she thinks about is herself".

This is annoying as i dont think Robbie ever finds out about Dave being a red herring and it makes Georgia look really bad. Whereas in the books Georgia dumps Dave as she couldnt lie to him anymore!!! Annoying.

Then there is some pictures of Georgia upset about Robbie and her family breaking up and accepts that she might have to move to Kiwi a gogo land.

Theres a bit called All apologies with pictures of Robbie and Georgia sitting together on a beach and it says Georgia finds Robbie to apoligise but im not sure what for. Anyway she tells him she is going to move away and he tells her he has dumped lindsay, the bit in the trailer where he says "I like you Georgia, even though you are mad".

The next bits are all about Georgias suprise party. She cancelled her oarty after her row with Jas but Libby and Mutti take her a cake and tell her to get dressed for a family night out. Then she is taken to a suprise party which Jas and Mutti have arranged. Jas and Georgia make up and Vati comes back from Kiwi land. There is a picture of Lindsay at her party with to friends and her party is going badly. There are pictures of the stiff dylans performing at Georgias party, Mutti and Vati hugging, Grandad and another women which could be Masie(?) and then a picture of Robbie and Georgia kissing on the stage.

On the whole im happy with whats in the book, and i think the plot storyboards left a lot out as there are random pictures scattered, such as Georgia and Robbie walking down a street holding hands and kissing and of a sleepover with the Ace gang so theres a lot more which is going to happen.

But there is something disturbing which i think is misleading. It talks about Georgias school and that there are some "really cringe making people there".
a)Nausiating P green isnt that naustiating
b)The Bummer Twins - actually quite funny
c)Lindsay
and d)...dave!!! they called dave cringemaking and compared him to the bummer twins!!! "erm...lighting your farts is funny?"

I started panicking that Dave will be presented in a bad light but there is no other mention of him being cringey and also there are posters of him in the book. Also louise would not let Dave be presented badly now would she!!!

Another thing which is a bit disturbing is the poster of Sven in the book. It says "Rosies foreign exchange student boyfriend thinks he is Scandanavias answer to 50 Cent." And the picture of him is him in a bandana with this jacket undone showing some gold chains off...no silver flares!!! He does look admnittedly quite insane though so...maybe he will be ok!

Anyway. If i dont get sued for copywright i will just have to keep telling myself this film is BASED on the books, and there will be many changes but it does look like a good film and i literally cannot wait!!!!

I cant see any ladies of the night..all i can see is a load of prostitutes.

since no one in my life loves georgia as much as i do (not even the bookstore near my house, i made them dig the one copy they got out of a box they had in the back on the 1st), i must ditherspaz to you chummies:

i don't have the book with me so i'll try to remember as much as i can:

1) mutti and vati? oh noez!

2) jas and hunky? oh noez!

3) angus and the burmese? oh noez!

enough of that...

4) angus in general!? he's a crazy animal, but i totally expected him to make a home in the big catbox in the sky. leaving poor cross-eyed gordy as a half-orphan as his mother is a tart and went off with the local manky cat. or just half-orphan half dog....

5) dave the laugh. oh dave, how the fans of this book want to be nip libbing with you. he was so sweet for bringing angus treats and providing georgia with emotional and nunga support.

6) massimo is as unfunny as an unfunny thing in unfunny land. but the tiff between him a DTL is amazing.

7) also the pushing fight between our heroine and DTL was also amazing. when will they get to #4 and almost #5 with him again?

8) anybody else LOVE the facial hair comparison between the unfunny italian and dave? because i did.

9) why why why a thousand times why are the books so vair short? i can't wait another year for book 10. i might have a nervy b.

10) tell me what you guys loved about the book! maybe we can all write a very long love letter to louise and she will write the books in normal adult volumes? we can all pray to baby jesus. or buddah. or whomever will listen.

and then have a jammy dodger. for.... posterity. yeah.

Has anyone gotten Stop in the Name of Pants yet? I stopped by borders yesterday and they had put it out early so I bought it, and I just finished it. What are your thoughts?

Masimo pretty much proved himself to be a complete idiot with the stopping in the middle of traffic and lack of a sense of humor, and when I grow up I want to be Dave the Laugh.

My book has been shipped and will arrive in my mail box sometime this weekend according to my shipping notice, a few days before the release date. I just got my confirmation. This happened to me last year (I got book 8 2 or 3 days before the release date - I also got the final book in the Gemma Doyle series a week before the release date).

Has anyone else had this happen to them (ie getting their book early who has pre ordered)?

9:30 p.m.
Dear God, what a nightmare. This has taken my mind off the oven of luuurve
situation.
Libby has wedged herself into the outdoor metal bucket. We pulled her and
wiggled her about but we can’t get it off.
Mum said, “Go and get me some butter from the fridge. We can smear it on
her and sort of slide her out.”
Of course, we didn’t have any butter; we had about a teaspoon of cottage
cheese but Mum said it wasn’t the same.

Twenty-five minutes later
In the end Mum made me go across the road and ask Mr Across the Road if we could
borrow some butter. She said I could lie better.
Mr Across the Road was wearing a short nightshirt and I kept not looking
anywhere below his chin. He was all nosy about the late-night butter scenario
though.
“Doing a bit of baking, are you?”
I said, “Er... yes.”
“It’s a bit late to start, isn’t it?”
I said, “Er, well, it’s emergency baking. It has to be done by tomorrow.”
He said, “Oh, what are you making?”
How the hell did I know? I was lying. And also the only kind of confectionery
I knew were all the cakes I had got from the bakery of love. The Robbie éclair, the
Masimo cream horn and then I remembered the Dave the Tart scenario and quickly
said, “Erm, we’re making tarts. For the deaf. It’s for charity.”
He said, “Tarts for the deaf? That’s a new one on me. I’ll have to go down to
the storeroom for some packets.” And he ambled off.
And that is when Junior Blunder Boy and full-time twit came in. Oscar.
He looked at me and said, “Yo, wa’appen, bitch?”
What was he talking about and also what was he wearing? He had massive
jeans on about fifty sizes too big for him. He had to sort of waddle about like a
useless duck to keep them from falling down. And pull them up every five seconds.
How spectacularly naff and sad he was. I just looked at him as he waddled over to
the kitchen counter. He reached up to get a can of Coca-Cola from a shelf and
momentarily forgot about his elephant jeans and they just fell to his ankles.
Leaving him standing there in his Thomas the Tank Engine undercrackers.
I said to him, “Oscar, you are wearing Thomas the Tank Engine undercrackers.
I know this because, believe it or not, your trousers have fallen off.”
He said, “Yes man, me mean to do that. Be cool, it is righteous.” And he
shuffled off, still with the trousers round his ankles.
I will never, ever tire of the sheer bonkerosity of boydom.

Back in bed
It took us nearly half an hour to get Mr Bucket off Libby. We greased as much of her
bottom as we could reach, like a little suckling pig. Eventually we cut through the top
of her panties and managed to make a bit of leeway and free the bum-oley.
For some toddlers, being greased up and pulled by brute force out of a metal
bucket might have been a traumatic experience. But then not all toddlers are insane.
Libby laughed and sang through the whole episode, amusing herself by gobbling
stray bits of butter and smearing other bits on my head. Oh, how I joined in the
merry times. Not.
In addition, Gordy and Angus lolloped in to lick at the leftover butter on her
botty. Soooo disgusting. Libby was shouting, “They is ticklin me!!! Heggy heggy
ho!!!”
It is like the botty casualty department in here. My broken bottom, which I
have had no time to attend to, is being supported by Libby’s swimming ring and I
have a buttered-up child rammed in next to me.
Also, have I got a boyfriend or not?

Did we know the movie title was changed? I think it's silly to change it, but I can see why they wouldn't want to use "full-frontal snogging." They could have just used "Confessions of Georgia Nicolson" instead. Oh well. But yay for July 25th!

Hi Chicks and Chickettes!

Okay, this is kinda off topic but it's maybe something you girls can help me with. I'm finishing uni in the next few weeks and me and a few of the other girls are planning to hold a slumber party as part of the end of year celebrations. Even though we're all in our early twenties and there will be boys there as well as girls, we want to try and keep the theme like a girly teenage slumber party.

Anyway, we're having problems coming up with ideas for games (uni work sapping all our brain power) - so far we have only come up with Twister, two versions of Hide and Seek and "Eat Food Off A String Race". The boys are no use with their "Strip Poker" and "have an Ann Summers Party" suggestions and anything we found on the internet has mainly been boring or plain weird (one idea involved clenching some coins between your bum cheeks while you stand on a chair, with an empty bowl on the floor. Then you jump off the chair and try to get the coins to land in the bowl).

So, do any of you guys have any super fun suggestions for games (or even the party in general) that we can use? If so, please post them, I'll be super mega grateful if you do!

So here's my two cents....err pence? about the film.
Please, by all means feel free to discuss =]

a. I am totes excited for the film, even if the fact it's being made by Nickelodeon is putting me off my breakfast a bit. Nick is so preteen imo.

b. The boys are gorgey... Tom's definitely a babe, though I think he should deffo be smaller than Robbie, I mean Georgia's supposed to be quite tall and she's smaller than Robbie. Although I think he's walking on a log in that behind the scenes clip...I also always pictured Tom with hair =( And the only pics of Dave I've found have been horrible, he's not my DtL, and she's always going on about his smile, and his quite cool hair.... Though they got Robbie perfect.
Look here, and you'll know what I mean.
All I can say is PHWOAR.

c. I think Jas is quite beautiful, but the fringe bit, rather lack of fringe bit bothers me, and I always thought she had dark hair, but that's just a personal bias haha. IMDB says Manjeev is Jools haha. Jools doesn't even really come into it until a bit later, well besides the bits with Rollo. She seems much more an Ellen, the whole blushing ditz thing.Rosie's perfect me thinks. So's Sven. OMGosh and the girl they cast for WL is so what I pictured her like. So thumbs up to that!

d. Although "Robbie" isn't actually the lead singer in the film, I am so in love with the Stiff Dylans, Ultraviolet is my myspace song! Does he say they're at Brighton in the clip, or does he just pronounce Britain funny? Because I had no idea GeeGee lived by the sea haha.

I'm going to make a little round-up of resources for you guys =]

This is probably been discussed before but i was wondering what age they were going to rate this film at.

I got "Its OK im wearing really big knickers" when i was 12 and it had a rating on the back saying "for ages 14 and above" so it SHOULD be at least a 12 unless they have completely dumbed it down to a kiddie movie!

What do you think?

On the angusthongsmovie webstie the synopsis describes it as GurindaChars very Brittsh take on American high school movies such as "Mean Girls" and "Clueless". Its NOTHING like those!! I dont want it to get sterotyped like that as its not you typical high school drama.

I know they arent going to stick to the book in every aspect but a few of things just made me have a bit of a spaz.

1) Im adapting to them adding a new character to add some racial diversity but why have they not included Ellen Mabs and Jools. Ok i could (possibly) live without mabs and even jools but they could have simply made Ellen asian!! They may have made her into an ellen-esque character but im still annoyed as she is a key part of the books vis a vis the accidental snogging incident with Dave the Laugh.
2) I didnt see any Sven. Now this is only in the trailer so he could still be lurking in the film but i saw a Tom and a robbie and a dave the laugh but no Sven! You cant have Georgia Nicolson without Sven! Who will wear the flashing trousers??
3) JAS HAS NO FRINGE!!! She is therefore not jas but an imposter.
4) Robbie not being the lead singer of the Stiff Dylans. I get the fact that they are now a real band in real life but for the film they could have given him at least his own mike!! I mean Aaron Johnson can sing !!
5) Libby being the cause of Georgias missing eyebrow. Its a fundamental fact that she shaved them off because of her having monster scary eyebrows!

All that being said, im actually happy with Robbie as he looks vair sexy and im happy with Mutti. Also very happy with Georgia Groome as shes very pretty in my opinion and has a slightly on the larger side conk! I didnt hear Rosie speak. And she doesnt have glasses which is annoying.

Im going to be a nervous wreck until June/July. Yes i am that obsessed.

I dont know if anyone has heard this but that slideshow is photos taken by one of the extras. There is a blonde girl, quite pretty wearing a silver and black stripy top in one of the photos who is apprantly playing Nausiating P Green. Now they HAVE to make an effort to make her look nausiating else she is just P Green.

Also i hear the bummer twins are going to be in the film. Which is a plus :)
