Mrs. Dixon, my George Feeny, came in with her family. That alone made the night worth it. OMG. So... I impressed the boss at Oncology Supply! He came to eat at Moe's Thursday night while I was working and I impressed him! How about that?! He sought my father out to talk about me and mention that there are FOUR job openings at OS. Four! He also mentioned how I was number two in line for the job that I applied for earlier. HeeHee. What an ego boost! Also, it feels like time for some new userpics. 2 Jealous?

Beth, the other hostess, has really gotten on my nerves. She is very rude and it gets very annoying. But tonight is my last night with her at this restaurant so I'm not going to make any waves or let on that I am not her biggest fan. I will grin and bear it. Ugh. One more night... One more night... [25 Jul 2008|10:56pm] lauralucas Today hasn't been a complete failure, for once. I woke up feeling pleased with myself because my room was all clean and partially-organized (the part that shows is organized, and that's really what counts to keep me sane). I was not-so-pleased that I woke up too late to go to the gym, but my legs are so bloody sore today that I probably would have had some problems anyway. I went to Urban Outfitters with my mom, which was very successful as I acquired two dresses, two tops, a scarf, and some yellow neon sunglasses. Amazing. I love neon things. Then we saw Step Brothers. I was looking forward to it, but I have been less than impressed with several of Will Ferrell's latest movies, so I had my doubts. Fortunately this shit was like 100 times better than Talladega Nights and a million zillion times better than that crap Semi-Pro nonsense. It's definitely your typical stupid summer blockbuster comedy, but I was laughing constantly and it made me re-love Will, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. And I'm dying to see it again. Hooray. Now I am going across the street to be social. :) Jealous?

I'm planning on cutting Liliana's hair in the next chapter. (She's insisting. I can't get her to change her mind. But Quiarilla is going to argue with her about it.) I need an external hard drive for my laptop (I also posted about this on my Twitter and in computer_help). Does anyone know what works with a Compaq Armada M700? I want it to be at least 80 gigs. i hate this fcking computer [25 Jul 2008|06:38pm] baakla this is really annoying me. today, for the second time this week, the internet came back. again, its most likely temporary, but im staying hopeful. so to celebrate for now, michael and eric. my favorite pythons . more holy grail pictures!! so i saw "monty pythons life of brian" today, and "a fish called wanda" yesterday. both great, but i prefer a fish called wanda. i think i need to watch life of brian a could more times for it all to sink in, but i went in with my expectations a little too high, so this is what i get. it was hilarious nonetheless, but imo, not as good as holy grail. a fish called wanda defied my expectations, and not only i, but my sister also loved it. otto = funniest character ive seen in a long time. so i guess the monty python obsession continues. but im okay with it... except now the last thing for me to see is "meaning of life" which i dont think ill ever get around to. then maybe ill watch some of palins travel stuff. such a doll, even now. :) [25 Jul 2008|09:54am] viper209n [ mood | accomplished ]  Work at Moe's last night was fun. Dare I say it. I've really missed working with the people at Moe's. There is something about the atmosphere that just makes it a fun place to work. A lot has changed. Some of my co-workers have gone. New ones have come. We work with a much smaller crew now. (Payroll cut.) But really, it's the same old Moe's.  A man named Little Willie came in and he works day shift. Andrea, the manager, introduced us and he asked how long I had worked at Moe's previously. Since I could not think of when we had opened, I looked to Andrea who simply answered 'Since we opened.' Then Willie responded with something that I really liked. 'Oh. So you're a vet.' I like that! I am a vet! I am a veteran of Moe's! I iz so proud. Anyways, tonight I go host at Old Mill. It's just going to be boring compared to Moe's.  Today : Old Mill (4-10) Saturday : Old Mill (4-10) Sunday : Moe's (5-10) Also, new video at unenamour  EDIT : Today's payday! 9 Jealous?

theatre theatre theatre! [25 Jul 2008|10:15am] lavieboheme12 [ mood | bouncy ] I'm going to see The Mousetrap on Saturday, Avenue Q on Monday (I am so excited, never seen it but I know all the words), and The Wizard of Oz on Wednesday (that's right, they're playing a stage version of Wizard of Oz), and Wicked again next Saturday! And today I'm going to go to Dress Circle and spend a long while in there. Happy birthday Cheno! (yesterday) You don't look 40! And you especially don't look old enough to be my mother! ETA: To add to the theatre list, we got cheap tickets to Phantom of the Opera tonight. So ha! 1 Jealous?

Uninformed, Homophobic Newsweek Article [25 Jul 2008|01:34am] lakehmm [ mood | offended ] [ music | Colbert Report ] Sarah Whitman from the Huffington Post wrote about the ridiculousness of the Newsweek article "Young, Gay and Murdered in Junior High" (not the most elegant title). The Newsweek article basically blames the murder victim for being inappropriately effeminate, and blames society for allowing that kind of behavior. Definitely take a look at the Newsweek article, and I would recommend reading the Huffington Post reply as well. Jealous?

Happy Birthday & Quick Update [25 Jul 2008|12:05am] drshock [ mood | Tipsy ] [ music | G4 ] I got home from my vacation about 3 hours ago. I drove 10 hours today to get home. I am so happy to be out of the car. I picked up a 6 pack after I got into town. I have had 3 of them and I'm a little tipsy and glad to be home. It seems like I have been gone for so long. I had very limited internet access while I was gone. None of my friends and family have wireless internet. The ones who do have internet only seem to have dial up. I plan to spend my 3 day weekend checking up on what everyone has been up to. The last time I actually checked LJ was on July 10. I had lots of fun on vacation. Lara and I took lots pictures. Will post later. Anyways more on vacation later and Happy Birthday to just1soul who also shares a birthday with my mom. 1 Jealous?
