So, OotP is out tomorrow. This is a Major Fandom Event. The veil scene alone is a Major Fandom Event, nevertheless waiting to see if they put in all of the ardent stares or kill our souls with made up Remus/Tonks subtext.
Anyway. I think we at amutualslurping should instigate a community wide Order of the Phoenix Release Party, which is basically just a single post here where everywhere discusses the movie after they’ve seen it. What you loved, what you hated, and what made you sob into your best friend’s shoulder (my poor best friend is going to be very wet). It can span a few weeks, at least, to let everyone have enough time to see the movie and be able to form coherent sentences again. I personally won’t get to see it until the tickets stop selling out, and I’m sure not everyone is going to be able to see the midnight showing tomorrow. If enough people are interested(please to be commenting if you are), then I’ll start up the party sometime tomorrow morning so the first people to see it can begin mingling!

Title: Albus' Diner Rating: PG Wordcount: 1,760 Warnings: Flashback, Suggestion of Substance Use Disclaimer: Only the characters' names and personalities are borrowed and are the property of J.K.Rowling and her associated parties. Author's Notes: This is something along the lines of the old sitcom "Alice", set in a diner, where all the characters are either employees or customers and all the action is at the restaurant. There is no magic.
( Give the kid a job. Jimmy just tried to off him in the carpark. I reckon he could use a bit of a break!... )

Title: The Gryffindor Way Author: alleyflower Rating: PG Pairing: James/Lily. Remus/Sirius insinuated. Word count: 1,122 Author's Notes: Many thanks to my beta luuuurve. Characterization based within the shoebox_project universe. You need not read it to understand this fic (but you should anyway, because it's amazing!). I mention this not because it acts as any kind of prequel, merely because my vision of these characters is forever colored by that fic. Summary: James doesn’t like all this hiding business; he reflects on some of the events that led up to his Fidelius-y imprisonment at Godric’s Hollow.
( Genfic, wherein R/S is not a central plot point. *hides* )
