| About: | Amecon is an anime convention held in Leicester, United Kingdom. Run by the University of Leicester Japanese Animation Society, in association with the Leicester Anime and Manga Club (LANMA), and with 1300 members attending and receiving free pocky, the underlying principle of the convention is that it should be enjoyable for both long-term fans, and also those new to the world of Japanese Animation (anime) and Comics (manga).
