now,
i am probably the newest artist
(so keep in mind i am still a baby)
jumping on the band wagon and responding to the,
"artists, show us your stuff since it's kinda slow around here" request a few posts back.

so i figured i would be brave and show off what i have learned so far.
constructive criticism is awesome and I can use all I can get.

i've been tattooing for only 14 months.
...so, just a tiny bit over a year.
SO, as you can expect, I am FAR from amazing,
and not nearly as good as anyone who has posted so far.

however, I am dilligently trying,
and that has to count for something right?

Hey there
So here's some of my work. Been tattooing for three and a bit years now. I'm currently in Ottawa Ontario at Living Colour. I'm a portrait artist but I like doing pretty much anything. And I by no means think my works amazing enough to post here on a regular basis, but it's really nice that the moderators have opened it up for the week :)

Like everyone else has said, I'm by no means on par with some of the stuff that gets posted here, but here's some of my work. I also welcome critiques and comments :) I work at Katalist Konsepts in Ft Collins, CO and do guest spots in San Francisco whenever I can. This one's in progress, but it's the closest thing to a traditional japanese piece that I've done, so I like it for being different. sorry about the glare on this one, I swear she just has the shiniest skin ever. (her dog's name is Jim :)) Alright, let me know what you think!

Okay, so let me start by saying that compared to most of the people on here, my work is dookie, but you asked for artists to post, and I'm a sucker for a free critique, so here is some of my better stuff in my opinion. I've been tattooing 3 years as of June 26th.

these are how i taught myself to do portraits. High contrast stencil faces.

And here's some tiny stuff.

I seriously welcome any and all critique and comments. That's what makes me want to try harder and do better. Thanks in advance!

Where are my tattoo artists??

I have become aware over time that are quite a few tattoo artists in this community, and a lot of them do some amazing work. If you would like to show us some of the work you are most proud of, I would like to open this week to artist posts.

Comment here or you can make a post. Tell us who you are and where you work (this is not for posting your OWN tattoo's, folks. This is for the artists to brag). Show us something we might not otherwise see on your website or myspace.

Be prepared to take critiques as well as kudos. If you don't think your ego can take, then don't post. Remember art is subjective and doesn't always appeal to everyone.

Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I went back a ways and didn't see it. I always thought this
& Detail was really amazing.

Looks like the artist's name is Nick Baxter, at Transcend Tattoo in Branford, CT. There's some other great work on his site but the first I came across was this, and really loved it.
