And I'm falling back into the old pitfall of caring about the wrong things/people, when I know other things/people make me feel so much more...idk. Like I can really trust them or it making me happy. Why do I keep complaining when I know I have someone to go to?
On a related note, godfuckingdamnit I have no luck. Need to figure this out for myself. |

I went to the mall today. I wanted to mooch off Gamestop's Wii and Brawl but it wasn't on! ;_; WTF? People need to sample Wii games! Turn the Wii on!
So anyways, I saw River King: Mystic Valley at Best Buy last time for $20 and I kind of regret not getting it, so I wanted to go and buy it today. Guess what? It was still there, and now it was for $15. Hooray. =D So now I have another Natsume game, I'm still never going to finish Harvest Moon though. =\
I went to Borders and read volume 2 of Sakura Ganbaru by Masahiko Nakahira and it was adorable. X3 I was never a Street Fighter person, but I wanna support Ryu/Sakura now. ._. (I was so much of a Ken/Sakura person...) And Cammy/Sakura friendship is so cuuuuute. I wanted to cry. (I dunno if that's really how she got her name though.)
Oh and they had Shaman King volume 17 and 18 there. I read 17, but I don't think we have it at home. Jenny, go buy it. ...Iunno, go look for volume 15 or something. Maybe we should just buy another volume 15? (We should totally sell our unwanted manga to make up for it or something.) I bought volume 18 because they said there would be a sticker in there. I didn't know it meant Shounen Jump sticker because it was some guy from Slam Dunk.
My DA just stopped in to say Hi. ...It was weird. =| I mean, she's nice and all but I was never one to make small talk with.
So what else did I do? Nothing, I bought shoes. Bleh, I feel like a girl. D=
Oh right, I went to the Blue Room to play the rest of chapter 2 of Phoenix Wright. (Finally!) Oh god I remembered why I love this series so much. ;w; I think some people were laughing when I was yelling "Hold It!" and "Objection!" into the mic. >_> |

Okay, I kinda might be seeing the Twilight movie just for Pattinson, who I have the feeling is deeply regretting what he decided to do for his paycheck and has damn fine cheekbones:
"When you read the book," says Pattinson, looking appropriately pallid and interesting even without makeup, "it's like, 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.' I mean, every line is like that. He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn't do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he's a 108-year-old virgin so he's obviously got some issues there."
Oh, Pattinson, let me save you from the fangirls. Apparently he once described the sound of the pre-teens and teens screaming outside the filming site as sounding like the gates of hell.
Also, is it canon that while everyone else was screwing around, Edward was taking up knitting or whatever?
And can I just add that Meyer's reaction to the leak of her next novel pissed me off beyond belief? Okay, I'm not even going to get into how stupid it is that she's writing Twilight from Edward's pov - that book didn't need to be written once, much less twice, you get me?
But the fact that she is now not NOT going to write that book because a large number of her fans are so desperate to read her writing that they stole it? Pisses me off.
Oh, boo-hoo, you're making a huge amount of money and have a loyal fanbase.
In her place, I would be PISSED that someone put my work out before it was ready, and I might go back and change things to keep the work fresh, but I CERTAINLY won't STOP WRITING IT.
God, what a whiny brat.

In regards to this show, Owen Only's mom = MILF and Bird Brain = LILF. Certainly this is a show of high quality which I initially overlooked as dumb due to appearance. Off the top of my head, I thought the same of Inu Yasha, and probably other great ones. So I'm glad I took some time to watch it.
Of course, BB likes the Captain, and that's got to be respected. I tell ya, if there's one thing that's lovely, it's a loli in love, and if she must be smitten with someone it may as well be some neandering goodhearted shota rather than some bad boy pop star or whatever which tends to be annoying and stuff. Honestly, I wonder, if a loli ever liked me, would that also be annoying? It might... I dunno, it certainly would now, I like a loli with standards and anyone with standards would not be bamboozled.
I wonder if this is why a lot of guys treat girls like shit because they don't respect them for liking them, which is why you often have guys who are losers treating girls badly, and guys who are winners treating them well. Of course, this is not consistant, because there are some very nice losers and some very abusive winners.
This is because some people are very conscientious of trends and reject them (for example, I would like to be a nice loser, and I think I am, until I can be a nicer winner) whereas the abusive winners I guess, maybe they don't get smitten? Or maybe it's some 'hidden pain' or insanity type thing where they value nothing or odd things which lead them to exploit others? I dunno. |

What the hell is WRONG with this cat. First she's attacking the deadbolt, now the light switch o_x my hallway light keeps going on and off.
I hope she eventually gives up and stops wanting to be out in the hall.
*an hour later*
So I chose to traumatize my cat. I stomped over to her, went RAWR, threw her harness on, stuffed her in the cat carrier, and marched her over to the park. I tied the 20ft leash to a tree and and let her wander. The cat was all "................ O.O; OH MY GOD"
It was funny.
The cyclists scared her XD the dogs facinated her (I had to pull her back to keep the dogs from noticing her) and she kept running into the cat carrier to hide XD poor thing.
But it was fun. Sometime soon I'll take Nana out. I'm sure she'll like it too. She's all wound up currently and Hachi's like "............... *licks self*" |

2) Again from The Iliad that you almost cry when you thought Hector died.
3) AGAIN from The Iliad you snort at first when you read that the Trojan's allies are the Lycians but then you know that something is up when Odysseus mentions Sacred Pherae that would be presented to Achilles if he helped the Greeks.
4) You cringe when you read a Smash Brothers AU that only revolves around Marth and Roy and Marth has ice/water powers and Roy has fire powers.

It's a good time to 'get physical'. Like, too much time on the net, increasing pointless numbers. Like, what's the point or whatever? Just making people angry... of course, they ALWAYS get angry, no matter what you do or say, so what to do? lol... but time away is time without conflict, and that is good. Net's fucking slow anyway... I need to make some cashola via STABBING MYSELF FOR MONEY so as to get a faster connection and like, a laptop, so that I can, you know, type upside down, and maybe I'll get an aneurism in the middle of some Diablo II or somethin'.
Very stiff. Worked hard yesterday, up until 1... (awesome islam family guy ep of South Park part 1) and then woke up like 5:30 am because it was freakin' hot, couldn't even sleep above covers in underwear...
So I had like, a chicken spicy sandwich, and my calf muscle spasmed and I couldn't walk for a while. Then I did some salsa dancing, need to return to the library now I guess. I'm not very good. Even with the table moved there's no room to move, and like, the cleared space isn't in front of the TV or something.
My arms are weak! I finally measured my bodyat and it was like 15% or something. I was guessing 20-25 so it was pleasant. But even so, I think most muscle is in the legs, I have a really flabby-bad looking torso and arms. Anyway, 5-10% is what I want, and to gain muscle. |

I just finished reading Holly Lisle's Mugging the Muse: Writing Fiction for Love and Money. There are several points that stick to my mind, but here I'll just bring up two.
1. Is it obligatory to know how your story ends from the beginning? Some writers prefer to simply set up a universe, including the characters and the big events, and then let the story take its own course from there. I usually go with this approach, because to me it would give more room for the plot to expand and the characters to grow. The last multichaptered story I wrote with a definite end in mind from the start also uses this method, to some extent. (Digression: I guess I'd have had even more leeway if the story had been original instead of fanfiction, but at that time I was too overwhelmed - "OMG I'm doing NaNo for the first time!" - to have the mental energy to create a universe from scratch)
2. Writing collaborations. I mentioned about this before. In Lisle's experience, doing so as a professional hurts one's solo career. I imagine some of the same pitfalls may await those who collaborate in writing fanfics - our partner can suddenly take the story to an entirely different direction without telling us first, do too little work, or get offended when we don't accept their ideas. Despite all that, I still want to give writing collaboration a shot, but I'm afraid I'm too possessive with my ideas, and that I may not be able to hold up my end of the bargain due to work/RL constraints.

So yeah, Dissidia gets it's own post because... why not.
Anyways, tonight was the first night the security guard came up and lectured me for being in the gym late. It was more of a:
Him: >.> How much longer will you be?
Me: D:... UH, 10 minutes.
Him: ... You know the gym is closed >.>
Me: D: I know I'm sorry <3
Him: >.> Hurry up
and he walked away. The sign on the door reads in big bold letters "CLOSED AT 11PM SHARP!" and it was 11:10 8D;. I usually push it to 11:15 and no one bugs me, but I guess tonight was different 8D;;. I'm like "ZOMG MUST MAKE IT 10 MINUTES" because he's probably off sitting at the security camera spy station in the office going ">.> I'll be back in 10 minutes muwahaha". I was gone in 10 minutes, so all is well.
Hachi has been howling at the appartment door lately u.u; only when I'm home though, which is good, cause I don't want her howling when I'm not home to shut her up (she sleeps when I'm at work). I had to let them into the hall way because I had too many groceries and not enough coordination to get inside the suite without them getting out.
Hachi has since been attacking my door trying to get back out. She keeps leaping up trying to flip the deadbolt (which I sure as hell hope is too much for her o_x cause she is reaching it, it's just not moving. I'd rather not have the cat randomly unlock my door). I wish I had more space for her :/ if I was staying up really late again, I'd let them out in the hall after midnight so they could wander (read: chase each other), but I've been going to bed between 12 & 1 so that doesn't work too well. I also don't want that to be a habit - or at least, have Hachi think it's OK and then whine MORE.
In other news... work is work, sleep is sleep, food is always cooked, dishes are always dirty u_u, my tablet pen has been found and I'm going to a BBQ on Saturday. ROASTING WEENIES, YAY! |

The fight w/ Cloud of Darkness in the first video is awesome too. It moves SO FAST, XD;;; I never acheived Onion Knight in III though.

Hey all. In case any of you were wondering, I vanished for five days to go down to Kumori Con and visit pzb. (Con report to follow, when I... want to actually write coherently, instead of just meme-ing.) I had a fabulous time, except for the train ride back (it took fourteen hours from the Amtrack station in Eugene to my house - to give you perspective, I can go from Eugene to Bellingham -which is further away than my hometown- in eight hours HITTING TRAFFIC IN PORTLAND, TACOMA AND SEATTLE.)

2.) Uchiha Itachi. (To be fair, I think 3/4 of the problem is caused by Kishimoto). Look, fans, I don't care how pretty he is. He killed. his. entire. family. and then emotionally tortured his little brother and oh let's not forget about when he TORTURED KAKASHI FOR FORTY-EIGHT HOURS IN KAKASHI'S HEAD.
(I'd add in Sakura, except that if I don't read fics who don't treat her better than Kishimoto does.)
3.) Inara. I think most of the people who call her boring aren't paying attention.
4.) Toph. You love her? Fine. But don't act like she's perfect and made of pure awesome. (Again, I think the creators are to blame for a lot of this.)

Ah... ...Today started out okay, it was a Wednesday, normal day. Um... Biggest event of the day?
I FELL IN A RIVER.
That's right, you heard me, I fell in a river. ....Don't ask how that happenned, all I'm going to say is that I might not go on that same after-meal route again. ... ... Yeah. I have pictures of the river, if you want to see. (No, I didn't fall in while taking pictures, but it was the same place. >.>)
Um, so now I'm washing my laundry, and I'm waiting in the room next door. There's two guys playing ping pong ball.
...Oh right, that's what I wanted to talk about before I fell in that river. The Illiad, oh my god, it's awesome. I can't read about Hector without thinking big guy with blue hair, even though he's holding a lance. The Gods and Goddesses are so cool, even though I get confused between which side they're on and stuff. Ugh. It's kinda gruesome too, when Dio...Dio something stabbed... Para...Para something in the place between the eye and the nose and he pulled it out and it was pretty disturbing. X_x
Now the guys playing ping pong want to listen to my Brawl soundtrack, which I put on by accident. And yeah...
God I was daydreaming about Fire Emblem and I really want to play.... ;_; |

So...Finally I got around to this thing, no?
There were a whole lot of things that happened that I wanted to type about since my last post...only now I don't remember half of it, and the other half that I remember just doesn't seem as interesting or important as it did when it happened...
So I'll go on ahead with really the only recent thing that's happened...
Ohmigee! Shandra actually wrote fanfic. And finished said fic. o_O *le gasp* O_o
It took me a week and a half since I'd discovered it was best to write when I'm exhausted and about to go to sleep. That way, my mind isn't too particularly interested in nit-picking every single word I write. I don't have to worry about whether or not every sentence makes complete sense. And then, voila! 23-hundred word fic. Granted...it needs some cleaning, yes. But only for like the first 600 words or so...after that, when I was typing it, I kinda deviated from what I originally wrote and started editing it up a bit. I couldn't help it. *shrug*
Also...the renters of our old house completely trashed it. -_- We had to have them move because because Mom's moving her mom from California into it. And it's a good thing they're out so early too. It's not going to be easy to clean. We're probably going to have to rip up the wood flooring we'd put in there and redo it all. Not fun. Not cheap. Of course we've known since the beginning that they've been trashing the place. Within a month or so of them living there me and Rhi had to stop by and get rent from them once for Dad. The place smelled disgusting. The carpet was discolored. There was dirty laundry and furniture everywhere. But Mom and Dad couldn't afford to keep paying the rent themselves along with the rent for this house. I think that's the only reason they didn't get rid of them sooner.
Anywho...I don't really have much of anything else to say right now, so off I go!
I really need to find a topic for our paper that's due next week...I think it's next Wenesday...I'll have to re-check the schedule...
