Akito does not become someone less or more simply because of a change... ninety-seven chapters later. *wink*

Welcome to the Altar of Akito, a Livejournal Community dedicated to the fragile, bitter, sadistic, masochistic, beautiful, tragic... *goes on and on* character of Fruits Basket, Sohma Akito. Otherwise known as the Head of the Sohma Family. This is where fans of Akito (from both manga and anime) can gather and sparkle at his tastiness.
There are a hundred reasons why a small - but growing! - group of us adore the half mad, almost-boy who has consistently physically and emotionally damaged the other Juunishi. Some of us feel he's misunderstood. Some believe him the character trying the hardest to be alive for the series. There's the few of us who like his sadistic tendencies. And of course. We all love his prettiness, his smirkiness, his odd bursts of strength, his frail health, his pale skin, his delicate health... oh, we worship thee, Akito!

1. Absolutely no bashing or flaming any other fans in the community. That also means absolutely no character bashing. That means no, "Omg! Kagura is such a bitch!1!1!!!11" or "Momiji is SOOOO stupid!" We all have our opinions, but respect others. Complain in personal journals, not community ones.
2. There will be kids (though, um, I doubt it) around; please make sure that any NC17 or R-rated material is placed under a lj-cut, and has all the requisite labels. But don't feel like you can't post that! I'd love to see Akito smut. =P Very much.
3. The Altar of Akito is het, yaoi, slash, yuri friendly. Which means that all are accepted. If you can't accept that Akito might be with Shigure as much as Tohru, then perhaps the Altar isn't for you. Only exception would be Original Characters. I hold biases against Mary Sue and Gary Stu. I really wish I could be neutral on the issue but unfortunately, I can't. So no Akito/OC fic. And I can't do any of that 'approving' fic/art/posting, because that would mean there's a Demeter!filter to Akito, and I don't like the idea of that - so I'm keeping all Akito/OC fic/fanart out.
4. All spoilers need to be placed under an lj-cut. It's just the polite thing to do.
