A forum for people to show off their homes and tell how they did it. Not for the typical yuppie with their pre fab decorating in a box safetly purchased with a money back guarantee. We want to see crazy, over the top, wild things..... mostly interested in kitsch!, goth, mod, retro, rockabilly, gothabilly and any variation thereof. Does your bedroom look like a Turkish harem? We want to see it! Does your living room look like a groovy bachelor pad? We want to see it. From the art deco of the 20's to the glamour infused 30's to the swanky 50's to the groovy 60's to the more free spirited gypsy look, we want to see what you've done with your home. Pictures and decorating tips for any room in the house; living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, entry ways, even hallways! Your room doesn't have to be 'authentic' vintage; if you mesh styles and eras, that's fine!
I've just updated our Memories section so you can puruse them for inspirational rooms! Both from members and ones found online.
This isn't really the place to show off how you just painted your living room that fascinating shade of beige, we're looking for things a bit more interesting. Even if you just painted your room some shocking shade of red (which is rather normal to us), without some groovy furniture; it's just a red room.
We're also interested in exteriors as well! Blue house and pink flamingoes in the lawn? Show us! Also interested in swanky decks and patios, amazing gardens, and groovy front yards.
DIY highly encouraged! Show us your before and after photos!
We're also interested in seeing how you decorate for parties, especially theme parties.
Please post about cool stores that have interesting interior things for sale, such as retro inspired stuff. But avoid posting the obvious, such as "you can get paint at blah, blah"; unless you're letting us know about some very cool paint. Such as gold metallic.
Post about any upcoming home shows that might be of interest.
If you find inspiring pictures of room interiors, please post but try to give credit to where the room is and the photographer and maybe where you found the picture. If you don't know the photographer, that's fine, just try.

I highly recommend the book PAD for inspirational, over the top, crazy ideas for your home. The book is packed with dramatic ideas from groovy 60's rooms to psychedelic black light acid tripped rooms to retro space fantasy. Although the book seems very retro and mod, a lot of the ideas could work in a great many different rooms.
