I do not know if this is the proper community for such a post. If not, let me know, and I can delete this entry.
I have been collecting custom made as well as specially printed corsets for quite a few years now. I am, however, artistically inept and generally I need other's help in designs. I have a centerpiece in mind for my next upcoming corset, but I do not know how to go about it. My boyfriend makes shirts, and this is one of his many designs:
( Loudbot )
I want to have a similar idea, but made into GYN transformer bot, basically made up with a collaboration of gynecological or obstetrics/tocological related stuff. However, I don't want to steal his idea. Just take the same concept of a specific theme in a transformer bot image. I know my idea probably comes off as very corny to many of you, but eh, most of my corsets are not to be taken too seriously.
Now the question. Are there any artists in this community who would be willing to make me a design if paid (NOTE: preferably digitally, graphically, or with photoshop)? If not, could any of you please recommend me any good artist communites or forums either on lj or the web in general with people who may be willing to work with me on this? The design is really quite up in the air actually. I'm allowing the artist to use their mind and essentially make up their own creation, just in a way that appeals to me...meaning, lots of images all jumbled together into one form, lots of color, detailed and obnoxious really...
If any potential offerers would like some pictures of my corsets to get an idea, I'd be happy to supply them.
Thank you!

hey guys, i just joined your community and it looks really interesting, i'm going to post some of my work here for you all to look at and maybe you could send some feedback about it, but in the meantime i want to share with you a project that i am just starting, maybe some of you would like to take part in it... heres some more info....
summary: We all have a personal identity with the city in which we live in or near too, weather its a favourite building, street or landmark, personal or unique experience, memory or event, or it's just that we have a love of where we grew up and each individual as their own social history with their home city.
To investigate this further I am calling for people to send me a personal visual representation of their home city in any medium through the post. This could include: Photography Text Drawing Poetry Painting Found object Collage List of words Weblink .....anything goes.
Each item that is sent to me will appear in an exhibition in February 2007 in Salford, England. Each persons name and location will appear next to the sent work.
If you would like to take part in this project by sending me an item please e-mail artyrach@hotmail.com for my postal address. If you would like to send an item that you think will cost a lot to send i can pay you back for the postage once the item has arrived.
Thank you and i hope to hear from you. Rachael

Any Fall Out Boy fans?
Well you can now buy this book of short stories written by a very good friend of the band

Click the Banner or go to askheychris.com for more details about the book, and who Christopher Gutierrez(more commonly known as "HeyChris") is and why he's important, if you don't already know.
If you’d like to do me a huge favor (You really have NO clue how much this would help me out) You can post this same banner in your journal or on your myspace profile. If you do that, make sure the journal is a public entry, and send me the link to it. I need to know where it is.

Looking for advice, thoughts, comments? Constructive only. It's a rough draft, so spelling/grammatical errors are not fixed. So please refrain from being part of the grammar police besides, I suck at grammar anyway

| So much exciting news |

We've had a lot of amazing things happen for us at Heroine Films this month. A lot of it do to support from this community and others. We've gathered support from a lot of different places but honestly, Livejournal has shown us the most amazing people.
So as for what's up: We have finally posted the interview that we did on the NC television show Second Cinema. You can watch it in at www.heroinefilms.net/scinterview.html
There is an article coming out about us in this months upcoming issue of CURVE Magazine. I believe it comes out on the 15th if you'd like to check it out. Also, MTV's new LGBTQ channel LOGO has put together a package for us for advertising purposes (we'll be showing our trailer to the over 13 million homes LOGO already goes to) and they are interested in buying the finished film. As I said in the last update, we also got a large portion of our funding from the production company AMVF.
Thank you so much to all of those who have supported us. It is all your continued letters, emails, comments, and donations that has made this possible. There is no way we can express how much it means to us.

| Hey I'm New Here |
[06 Apr 2005|06:25pm] |
And I have a completed a short-story, grammar and spelling is over all solid but I have yet to completely edit it. Any feedback is appreciated.
Excerpt: "But let’s set some things clear first Jimmy: This is not about regrets. Or bad luck. Or even fear. This is about common fucking curtiousy. The reason you took the time to write all those letters to everyone isn’t because you care, and most of them probably don’t much either, it’s just nice for closure. Like a bad movie. Even though you might sit through one, if you don’t loose interest in the beginning you will finish it. Not out of interest. Just for closure. A beginning, a middle, and an end.
