In five hours, I will be taking my broken old laptop, three suitcases, and myself, and moving from a shitty suburb of Philadelphia, PA to a 25th floor apartment in downtown Chicago, IL.




This is, as the cliche goes, the first day of the rest of my life. And for once, I'm really, really looking forward to it.

Nothing too terribly exciting here, but I've decided to make this my Bandom journal. I'll be keeping active with this one as far as boysqueeing, album opinions, and fiction goes. It's just easier to organize my life this way. (:

...After a ridiculously ridiculous bike ride to three different stores to look for it...which is even more ridiculous because my mom gets home in like 15 minutes and she would have taken me to get it...BUT I HAD TO HAVE IT. NOW. It was hard enough to make it through work, the whole five and a half hours, my brain constantly chanting NEW TAI NEW TAI OMG OMG AHHH and other such things like that. Also, summer decided to come in fall this year, and it's like 20 degrees warmer than it has been on average for the past few weeks. So I am super tired and hot and sweaty. And I guzzled every drinkable on my desk [half a bottle of water from work, the bottom of a big jug of water from the wildlife trip thing a few days ago, and what was left of two different things of vitamin water] when I got in. Ah, the sacrifices I make. *dramatic sigh*

[All of the above, right there, was completely pointless. Don't read it.]

Timothy has gone. Stolen, in fact. I'm finding it hard to live without him. He was pretty much everything to me and nothing to everyone else. It's been rough.

I almost burst into tears when I recieved my A-Level results, I did ok aside from Sociology, which I got a D in as I totally fucked up a paper.
I thought that meant I had to resit the entire year again. I was panicking and thinking what the hell am I going to do, I can't stay on at college for another year without taking up more subjects etc.
When I was beyond the point of tearing my hair out the NIGHT before enrollment Josh's brother casually states that he passed first year Sociology with a D.
for the first time in my life I worried over nothing.

How amazing is The Dark Knight? after my abismal results Josh pulled a sicky and we went shopping and then for an evening showing at the cinema. Heath Ledger DID make that movie, possibly emphasised by the fact that whoever the hell played batman was APPALING. I mean it upset me he was that bad. The voice he did was irritating, whatever the logic behind it was, it was irritating as hell.

The days have been boring, the nights have been usual, the weekends have been stranger.
I heard Josh's dad laugh properly for the first time EVER this weekend. It was the funniest thing in the world. I always thought his mum was the bad influence but it turns out its his brother. The three of us stayed up until his mum noticed it was getting light outside, excused herself and never returned. All of a sudden we'd had four coffees and it was half nine in the morning. It's the first all nighter I've pulled in a while (bar leeds fest and all night disco at school). Even that time me and Josh stayed up til half seven, we were fucked up on everything and we managed half an hours sleep before he went to an interview and I skipped college.

Leeds Fest tomorrow.

I'm really only excited about seeing Alkaline Trio tbh. They're my new favourite band of the moment. At least this album, it's one of the few CD's I've ever been able to play through once and actually LIKE the songs on it. I even had to let a few FOB songs grow on me but not this. It's goooooood.
Alphabeat are my happy band now. I've listened to three songs roughly 90 times each according to itunes. And I don't even live in this house with this computer. haha.

My flat is lovely. It's all decorated and nice and pretty and I loves it very much.

Unfortunately I'm about to beg money from my parents. that won't be humiliating, but unless I want to go to Leeds fest with a tenner then I'm about to swallow my pride.
I need to buy some electricity before Leeds fest or my freezer will melt....

Hey, so let's talk about this NEW FALL OUT BOY ALBUM. I mean, I don't want to get hasty here, buuut. First of all, Matt Mixon totally spilled the beans about his tiny boyfriend finishing the drum parts on his myspace. Secondly, today Decaydance.com was "hacked" by this website: hxxp://citizensforourbetterment.com/

For our betterment = FOB. November 4th = a Tuesday and therefore possible release date. That post number = very close to 60000, the number Pete's been dropping left and right. Sudjam = a viral marketing company that registered this website in 2008 (Netscape? Please).

*BITES NAILS* Viral marketing, dudes, I seriously cannot take the anticipation of it.

ETA: Credit goes to fbr_trash for figuring this shit out (look around page 2). Hilariously, in a bulletin they sent out to say the hacked site was fixed, the Decaydance myspace thanked fbrt by name. They're getting a little butthurt about being used as marketing tools at the moment.

ETA2: (With thanks to various anons!) Brendon's in on it and that line is familiar. Also, there were 60,000 tickets sold for the Democratic National Convention, and FOB is playing Rock the Convention in six days, which is also when the post number on the website will reach 60000 (if it keeps changing at a post a day).
