alphabet_love, one of the many thematic communities present here at LiveJournal. The primary characteristic that divides this particular community from others of its kind, however, is due to the manner in which all 26 themes were composed. Each theme begins with its corresponding letter in the alphabet. (For example, theme no. 1 might be "atomizer," theme no. 2 might be "bermuda's triangle," so on and so forth.) The objective here is threefold: a.) To develop and better one's writing, b.) to undertake a somewhat daunting challenge, and c.) to have fun. Though, um, not necessarily in that order.

Here is an account of references and explanatory notes that may or may not assist in the writing process. The Concept
01. The above set of themes will not be periodically exchanged for others. These themes are here to stay. The themes do not have to be written in order; likewise, any interpretation made by the writer of such themes is valid, so long as it is included, however obviously or subtly, in their fic.
02. There will be no sign-ups to claim a character or pairing of a particular series. Everyone is free to chose any character or pairing that they wish to write for. Similarly, everyone is free to, at any time, remove their current character or pairing and replace it with another. It is not necessary to consult the moderator about the character or pairing that has been chosen or when a change in such has occurred.
03. As previously stated, here is the account of references and explanatory notes that have in some way influenced the making of these 26 themes. This list can be viewed at any time, for it is up to the writer to decide whether or not they would mind having their own ideas be influenced by that of the compiler's.
The Rules
01. The only posts that are considered allowable in this community are limited to fic contributions and administrative notices. (This means no advertising, no introductory posts, etc.)
02. All fic contributions herein should be new and written expressly for this community--that is, fic that has been written or posted beforehand is not welcome.
03. Everyone is expected to maintain proper social graces, no exceptions allowed.
