This is my first post here and I come bearing icons :D I'm a recent Buffy convert (halfway through season 7 on DVD) and Giles has been pretty much my favorite character from the beginning :)

After the Ball
This is a story that I wrote a while ago, and is posted on ff.net and my website, but don't go reading it there because I'm giving it a good rewrite and adding chapters as I post it to lj. It used to be titled "What If," but I thought that was a really lame and unimaginative title, so I renamed it "After the Ball" since it begins at the Prom, and since the lyrics of the song the title comes from (which is from Showboat) kinda suit the story. I have six chapters posted so far, out of 14+.
Rating: PG 13
Genre: Fluff, Angst, Romance
Ship: Buffy/Giles
Characters: Buffy, Giles, Willow in a supporting role, Angel, Wesley, Joyce, Xander and Anya in minor roles.
Summary: "The Prom" was a seminal episode for many Buffy/Giles shippers for the moment when it appeared that Giles was about to ask Buffy to dance. How might Buffy and Giles' relationship have developed if Angel hadn't come in just at that moment, ruining everything? ;)
