"The Mother Of All Links List"
Now that I've mastered the art of adding component boxes to the layout of [info]allthejellies (that copy & paste thing is a killer) I want to take advantage of the pimping space available. So...I'd like to compile a list of every B/G related website, fanlisting, archive, yahoo group, and anything eles I can't think of now.

The only guideline is that the site/group has to be B/G related (so a Giles Slash site is out while a Giles/anyone shipper site is in).

So bust open your bookmarks and share and if you think of a new catagory to add just let me know. Comment to this post and as new links come in I'll add to the listing masterlist. (If you haven't commented to the board recently...now is a great time to contribute.)

ETA: I've added three links myself...but that's all I'm going to add on my own...from here on out you have to contribute the rest.

ETA: There are two lists of links. The member links...which are links to the fan art/fic sites of members of allthejellies and the "The Mother Of All Links List" which is this post and is a link to everything B/G...regardless of allthejellies member status."

Well, for older fanfiction, there's always the original archive at buffygiles.com: http://www.buffygiles.com/archive/index.htm. And for Giles multishipping, there are two favourites, Of Demons and Destiny (http://vampirecows.com/odd/AUTHALL.html) and HeadQuarters (http://www.midnightlore.net/anthonyhead/archive/). The former is a managed archive, whereas the latter is a self-archive. I've also been able to find some older fiction not otherwise available in the old Destiny Awaits archive (http://denisevwoods.com/destinyawaits/ARCHIVEBG.html); it's not, alas, the latest version before the big crash, but it does contain some useful content. And if you like challenges, The Carrot Patch (http://www.get-me.to/thecarrotpatch) is an archive of The B/G Writer's Muse group (http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/BGWM/) challenge responses. Another great group is WatcherGirls (http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/WatcherGirls/); its fanfiction (which is divided up between Giles and Wesley) is archived at Riposte (http://www.wickedsky.com/riposte/). So, will that help a bit?

And how could I have omitted The List (http://www.dwordslist.net/)? It's simply a great source for B/G fic readers and authors. From essays on 'Why B/G?' to lists of beta readers, this site has loads to offer the prospective B/G author. There are plenty of fakies to enjoy as well, including a set of photo albums that beautifully complement Rari's famous 'Power of Friends' stories.

Hmm...so do you think The List should just be one link in the Fanfiction Archives section...or should all the parts be broken down? One link to the essays (which could be a new category), one link to the archives, one link to the fanart (another category), etc?

Well, the art is mostly interleaved with the fiction (and I think some with the writers' resources). The writers' resources are distinct enough to be handled separately. If you want to do two links, the fiction is at http://www.dwordslist.net/authors.html, and the resources are at http://www.dwordslist.net/stuff.html. And if you're thinking in that direction, ODD has some great resources at http://vampirecows.com/odd/RESOURCES.html.

Giles Fanfiction of the "Father Figure" Variety

Hey there everyone, you've got a great community here, and I've really enjoyed reading some of the excellent Fanfiction I've found through it.

My favorite type to read though is Giles fic where he acts as a Father Figure to Buffy (or Dawn, or another Scooby, etc.). Most people seem intent on pairing off Buffy and Giles romantically, which is fine, and I've read some really good ones, but it's not what I'm looking for.

Can someone direct me to a good site that specializes in this type of fiction? Or, barring that, a nice long story that I could read involving it?
