• Argh, I can't keep connected for five minutes. This is driving me nuts. Not really anything I can do about it if wireless doesn't want to work in this house, but still.

• I finally bought new bedding because I got sick of the tacky black and gold pattern, so now I have a nice purple floral quilt and rosey sheets. They were on sale, too. My bed looks so much better now. I should put the old sheets in a Good Sammies bin or something, only I don't know where one is. I think I'll do more ill-advised shopping for homewares tomorrow (anyone want to come with? It's either that or I actually go visit my aunt).

• I am so boring. Being at home on a Saturday night is so boring.

After studying at Subway, I went to have a walk in Marina Square. However, even though I had my sweater on, I was freezing so badly my teeth were chattering. Even when I was in the ladies, I still felt chilly so I came back home.

I chopped onions yesterday (because it's past midnight now) and I didn't cry. Do glasses get in the way of the onion aura?

The reason why I was chopping onions was because I was stealing cooking knowledge from my parents before I move off to rez tomorrow. I've been doing a fair bit of food preparation this week, and geez, those honking big chopping knives are heavy (no duh) and my poor laptop keyboard-ridden writing hand cries from the overuse (or the lack of use/stretching/whatever). Ah well, hopefully I get used to it. Cooking is rather enjoyable, if things don't get burnt or unsatisfiable. Hopefully my friends will be OK with my cooking XD

Hmm. I haven't completely packed everything yet. Clothes are fine because I just took the ones from the work term and added some fall stuff. Kitchen things aren't quite there yet. I wonder if I need to bring a spatula... oh well. If we don't have it, we'll go buy it. Shouldn't be that bad =D

Oh yeah, I have to scrounge for the keyboard! I'll do that after I sleep. And then I can sing along with a cracky voice to my friend's playing~! 8D

I should probably sleep now, actually. Later, I will have to outline my report, finalize the rest of my packing (including at least Coffee Prince or maybe 마왕 to study Korean from), finish the thank you stuff for my friend's parents' hospitality, email some language exchange friends... and that should be it, I think. I'd add 'struggle to translate indie Korean rock lyrics like Rocket Diary' but it's not something I have to do, unfortunately.

Remind me to never leave LJ for over two days. Oh my god. D: I just went back like 440 posts and I wanted to cry. I need to weed out some communities and stuff ;________;.

Finally got around to listening to Younha's 2nd album.
Of course, I had to start with the song that Tablo was featured on. I think they mesh so well together, doing features on each other's stuff and having those weird live perfs together.
The original version of 기억 is damn pretty enough but the rap mix version so so absolutely fucking gorgeous. The transition from the soft soulful bit into the more passionate part works so well, the lyrics are so pretty, and Tablo's bit only reinforces my belief that hiphop should be paired with gorgeous female vocals more often.
Has incited me to go on a translating spree, japanese vocab quizzes be damned.


And...
While waiting for my iTunes to kick itself in the ass and start working again, I started the KCE: World Series movie- had been waiting for awhile for it to get subbed.
I didn't expect it to start out with a korean version of KCE with all the characters having accents from, it sounds like, Busan and being so terribly k-drama melodramatic. God I love it.
