I was happy to see Petey Cortlandt (as annoying as he is) back because I knew that meant we'd see Palmer again soon. I love Palmer. Palmer was the "bad guy" on AMC when I first started watching. Before Adam and his crew showed up. (I am so nostalgic with all of these old schoolers returning to the show.)
Coincidentally, last night my husband and I watched The Bandwagon. We rented it because Cyd Charisse recently passed away and we wanted to see some of her stuff. Well I'll be damned because James Mitchell was in it! I forgot he had a long history in the theatre and he was a dancer! It was really nice to see him so young (he was probably early 30s), and I barely recognized him, but you could totally hear "him" in his voice.
I think we're going to have to rent Oklahoma! next.
So, against my better judgement, I went down to the library and picked up a copy. Oy.
This book was boring. Now, I don't read other romance novels, so I didn't have anything to compare this to besides my occasional vampire smut book. But...it wasn't even sexy. Seriously, people. You get to "see" more on the show than was written about in this book. I didn't even get a little bit hot and bothered about anything in here.
It was boring and ridiculous. And if this is what all romance novels are like, I'm glad I don't read them. All these amazing things happened to the main character. She had two men after her. It was very Mary Sue, which is probably the point of romance novels because we all want to be that woman sometimes.
I could see shadows of Kendall in the book, but really, Kendall fictionalized everything very well. This really wasn't a book cloaking her opinions of her real life. It was fiction. I can't believe I'm talking about Kendall like she's real.
It was odd that theer was cussing in the book when there isn't any on the show.
I wouldn't recommend it.
ETA: Has anyone used the perfume? How is it? I really liked Enchantment. But not the next one that came out...Fusion?
Why is Greenlee in the hospital every other day?
what do you guys think of the new Petey???
I think they are trying WAY to hard to make him look and act nerdy I mean he practically had a pocket protector on...LOL
I admire Tad for his wanting to spend every waking moment with Kate now that she has her back. But um...
How is he planning on supporting his family? Is he planning on being the stay at home hubby and living off of Crystal and the Comeback?
I just thought it was weird how he just handed over his P.I. business to Aidan and didn't seem to consider the future. I know we're in soap land and don't have to bothered by things like bills and mortgages, but it just seemed strange to me.
"Hey! I want to spend all the time I can with my daughter. Who cares that I can't buy her new clothes because I have no money? At least I'll be with the last piece of Dixie!"
Has Annie always been this annoying and pathetic?
I have been neglecting AMC for about a week and a half now. They are all on my DVR taking up space but I just can't make myself sit down and watch a marathon of AMC. So... have there been any days in the last week and a half that are must-sees or will the recaps do fine?
Thanks!
So did the scene with Cassandra, Colby and Dre remind you of I Know What You Did Last Summer? lmao
i was kinda mad yesterday
are they trying to cancel amc? i heard a rumor they are going to try to cancel the show! my source is sketchy so I figure i'd ask all of you.
So I haven't watched the show since last summer...it's nice to see some new/old faces. :)
What is with Greenlee though? The way she kept taking Kendalls phone away from her? Slap her, take your phone back and CALL YOUR HUSBAND! Jeeze.
Krystal "I have no right to be smiling when Babe is still out there...bleh blah blah" So instead, KISS ME...that'll be ok. *head desk*
I was watching yesterdays episode on soapnet and husband walks into the room.
Mr: What's this?
Mrs: All My Children.
Mr: From when? the 70's?
hahaha. He walked in when Jake and ??? were talking in the hospital about Randy...and I have to admit, the lighting, hair and scrubs did have a 70's/80's feel to it.
Oh I forgot to mention I saw Bobbie Eakes (sp?) in NY's Penn Station last week.
She is tiny! I was rushing off to see a show so I didn't bug her. :)
Does anybody know exactly what the Soap Opera Digest commercials are talking about??
.. And further on, is it just my station, or has anyone noticed there haven't been previews so far this week at the end of the show?

Can someone make me some beautiful icons of RPG-Jake and Greenlee?
Also, if a kind soul would direct me toward stunning icons of JEP-Jake and Greenlee, I'd be much obliged.
So I'm starting to watch the Tuesday thru Friday episodes of AMC & OLTL. Which should only take a few hours all together because there are so many characters & storylines lately I don't care about. Anyway, I decided to watch AMC first because after bawling like a baby with OLTL last week I didn't think I'd have as much drama from AMC.
Wrong.
Within the first 20 minutes of the show guess who's crying over the scene with Lily & Jack? Yeah. I. Am. A. Dork.
It just sucks that the first time we see Lily in months it's to say goodbye.
I'm sorry but I can't concentrate on the show because I feel like Krystal's boobs are going to fall out at any moment. I'm a day behind so she was sitting next to Tad in the hospital today and I really thought her nipple was going to come popping out. Some days she dresses like she's 20 and others she dresses like she's 80 and should be the new Blanche on the Golden Girls.
Who else thought Jake was way out of line today? If he wanted to tell Ryan about a treatment he could have done it any other time. He doesn't even work at the hospital. And the way he talked to Angie, I was neutral about Jake up till now but after that I just don't care for him.
Most of these happend the past week so I will put them below the cut in case you haven't watched.
