Thank you

Thank you for the many birthday emails.

Here for the past few days, and today again, there's been rehearsals.
Every day I do nothing but go back and forth between the studio and my house (laugh)

During today's rehearsal, I felt like I finally had it right...

My pitch and my rhythm were balanced, and I felt like I found a way to make my voice come out at the right volume.

But, speaking of diaphragm... my abdominal muscles get more tired than before (laugh)

I guess all those sit-ups in muscle training worked something else... (laugh)

In any case,
I can't wait for the first day of the tour.

During this tour, I want to be able to return the happiness we've felt so many times to everyone.

Remember me!

Hello

It's already July.

There's already only one week left before the tour.
Since we keep doing nothing but rehearsals, lately I've been sleeping to death.

Lately I realized that singing is surprisingly tiring.

While we're on tour, I'm completely on tour mode so I don't notice though.

Today
I had a conversation with Yousei-san, a model, but I forgot to ask him to take a picture together (laugh)
Sorry.

He was a lovely, gentle-mannered person.

Lately these Tom Ford sunglasses have been my favorites.

I feel that they fit me best.

SAGAN

Hello Sadness~ ('∀')

-----
NOTE: Shou wrote 沙我ン in the title as if he was referring to Saga. But actually Sagan is the name of a famous French writer and "Hello Sadness" was the title of her first best-seller.

SLEEPWALKER

This is the PV's director, Ehara-san.

Until now, he's shot the BLUE PLANET, ERASER and RAINBOWS PVs,

he's our older brother we can trust to shoot delicate and yet vivid PVs.

I hope you're looking forward to see SLEEPWALKER too.

Doing a long-awaited rehearsal.

This is the summer tour rehearsal

during which we're gradually putting together a summer tour menu.

We've pretty much agreed on the way we want to show things if it's a hall, and it should become something quite deep.

Concretely, it means songs like -Mugen- [electric eden] that we can't do in live houses, and synchronizing our music with movies and stuff to express our ideas...

I guess we're aiming to create something that will become the compilation of our 5 years.

I'm changing the subject, but yesterday I went to check the editing of "Hana"'s PV,

and it's simply amazing (laugh)

It's a pretty cool clip so look forward to see it.

The picture is one from the shooting of the SLEEPWALKER PV.

There... I look like I'm being mistreated.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

It's our SAGA-chan's birthday.

Alice Nine likes surprises, so contrary to what he expected, we tried to celebrate him on the day itself.

Happy birthday!

"Hana" is complete (^^)/~~~

The new single "Hana" is completed up to the mastering, our music is finally all packaged up~.

So~ I'm deeply moved.

I think we'll be able to play it during the tour so I hope you're looking forward to that.

But, the artwork... the jacket's design isn't finished yet, the designer I'm working with is having a hard time too so we can't slack off (^_^;)

We gotta work hard!

Mastering is the last step where we make final adjustments to the sound, so Hiroshi-kun is checking it out with some nice headphones!

Working hard every day

Today we did a photoshoot for Men's Knuckle~.

We appeared as guests during our collaboration with people who do this for a living.

I think Saga-kun and I gave it an essence as if music could be felt.

Even though we wondered how yet another genre of photoshoot would turn out,
it seems like the models listened to our songs,
and we were able to do the shoot with a warm, enjoyable feeling.
By the way, it seems like they got into FANTASY and WHITE PRAYER, I'm so happy.

It was our first meeting with the chief editor, all the staf were warm, so it was a good photoshoot!

Seems like we'll be on next month's cover so be sure to check it out.

After that, I went to CREATURE CREATURE's live.

Morrie-san truly looked possessed...
The songs too had some undescribable beauty that goes beyond progressive rock as some kind of new modern music.

That being the first time I saw them live, I got a culture shock that sent shivers through my spine.

I'm lucky to have gotten such an amazing inspiration for the tour. Thank you very much.

After this, the mastering and PV shooting are just around the corner, but that cranks me up all the more o(^-^)o

World's ONO

This is the every day Ono-kun.

He couldn't eat at the same time as everyone and ate the delicious kebab we shared with him, that's a good expression.

Every day he works like crazy for our sake. Thank you for everything!

FIGHT! ONO!

The PV is...

We did the shooting in a very lovely place in Ibaraki.

This time the director came up with various images, so it has a nice feeling of showing a new side of alice.

When the shooting was finished, it was a moment of relief. Good job!

Why did I use fuseji...?

Try asking your heart...

By the way, it took me 15 minutes to figure out the answer.

NOTE: Fuseji is the ○ character Japanese use when they want to censor a sensitive word (ex.: う○こ)

Track down finished.

Tokyo Days...

('3')b?

We've completed the new single "Hana", up to the track down.

This time again, it turned out to be a quite lovely... rather experimental work, so I'm looking forward to see what kind of reaction everyone will give us.

This time, we were in a hurry and it took over 10 continuous hours to complete it,

I can't be thankful enough to the engineer and staff who know about our pickiness and worked with us with a smile until the end.

Since we still have to do the mastering after this, we have to decide quickly.

Ah, and the tickets for this summer's tour went on sale!

This time we'll be going over capacity except in Tokyo and Osaka, so be sure to come see us when we come near you~.

It's gonna be our first hall tour, from now I'm looking forward to the business meetings and the like about this subject.

Yesterday, Hiroto brought the chihuahua of someone he knows to the studio, it was so cute.

I want to have a chihuahua...

During the tour I couldn't take care of it, so it would be difficult though... (laugh)

-----
NOTE: About the 5th anniversary project, I consulted various people here and I'm still setting things up, but it shouldn't be very long anymore. But just to give you an idea...

I've decided to go with the Time Machine theme that was proposed by someone. I'll be accepting fanarts related to the band's various looks throughout the years, or inspired by their songs/albums/ect. Basically, anything that has to do with the band's history is acceptable, and I think the theme's vast enough not to choke anyone's creativity.

You can also start to think of a message for the band. I'm sorry to say there'll be a size-limit though so keep it short-ish?

Oh oh~ yume wo egakou~1

...out-dated?

TULLY'S shake is yummy

-----
1 He's refering to Mr.Children's "Tomorrow Never Knows". He changed "yami"(闇)/"darkness" in the original lyrics with "satsuei" (撮影)/"photoshoot". By the way, those lines can be translated as "Toward the endless photoshoot / Let's paint the dream".

SATSUEI seyo~

SATSUEI seyo~1

Is that outdated already (laugh)

Lately we're on a photoshoot rush every day along side with the recording.

I get up early, get my makeup done, make my way to the photoshoot...

We keep going at the same rhythm for days, and just that makes me feel like I'm an office worker, so I'm happy.

Because it's a job that's full of irregularity (laugh)

Today again, I did a photoshoot for CD-DATA, and a solo shoot for a special issue of FOOLS MATE,

and even though it was solo, the stylist Hisshi brought clothes

according to what pose I'll be doing,
that made me happy he put his feelings into his work.

I truly feel bless that we're surrounded pretty much just by people who put everything they have into their work.

Lately all of our fans too have been talking a lot about the band logo as if it were their own thing...

Ah, my eyes are sweating... (laugh)

On that, here's a picture of me and the stylist Hisshi.
About my costume, this magazine is monochrome so you'll only see the colors here (laugh)

It was a lovely shirt style costume designed by DRESS CAMP.

-----
1 That comes from a niconico video that parodizes the song "SATSUGAI" from the fictional band Detroit Metal City. Satsugai means murder and satsuei means photoshoot.
