- @jadedfrenzy. I hate you for reccing me an ongoing manga. asldfkjaslkdruaisodfjlk;j (Also, way to rub it in that you live in Europe. T.T Although, man, that postcard was pretty. *_____________________*) But um, for all those not in the know, I have been obsessed over Gakuen Alice for the past couple of days, going through the entire manga - that which I could - and spazzing when I realized that SHIT, it's still ongoing and asldkfjalksjdflk I actually have to wait for this stuff. That said, I kinda all sorts of love it, and can't wait for more. My shipper's hat goes crazy when I read it though. lolol and when it comes to the two main characters, I have to stop and go as;dkjflkasur;dlkj THEY'RE SO YOUNG. Then realize that, ugh, it just can't be helped sometimes. I think Natsume is the most jackass-y kid ever. And would like to smack him senseless. XP Except for some reason, he's somehow endearing in his jackassiness. I don't know how the kid manages, but he does. DAMN him. XPPP
- And cynicalism has been dying to get me into Shaman King (even though I've read it about two or three times before, but never finished). And I've had that thing sitting in my hard drive for like ages, until I started reading it after finishing Gakuen Alice. (I was itching for another manga to read.) And um, just know that in one day, I went from volume 11 to volume 25. al;skjdrioasdflkj ADDICTING. I couldn't stop reading. Except, lol, I was like, people just keep dying and coming back like nothing. It's like Dragonball Z all over again! XP That said, I really like it and the characters and constantly making fun of useless!Manta. I love the boy, but towards the end, you're like, oh! Manta was there. Huh. To be fair, I'm not done yet but as;lkdjfalksrulkdsjf Almost. ALMOST. saf;kduj (Also, because Cyn's funny like that, lol, she totally was telling me how JE!Shaman King would go, and that it should totally be written. And I agreed. v. Last night, I started to get this really sharp pain in my wrist that made it really hard to sleep. I had hoped that sleeping it off, it'd go away, except it didn't because as we speak, I still have that annoying sharp pain. :\\\\ Ugh. No likie. :\\\\\

I don't remember exactly, but it either was Billy Joel's River Of Dreams cassette or The Lion King Soundtrack on cassette, I don't have either any longer. The first CD I remember getting was the Clueless soundtrack I got for Christmas from our family friend Lynn. I have moved on, but at the same time I still kind of wish I had it had some good stuff on it.

I woke up at noon, skipping Pilates because I pulled my hamstring. Soc was canceled 'cause nifty professor hurt his leg. :( I'm sure he'll be okay though. So, in procrastinating my Crime Scene work, I figured I'd do some memes and then maybe eat and play some Nintendo, hahaha. Or get dressed and work on Crime Scene. SIGH. But memes either way. He says he's already sprayed the windows too (with insect killer or whatever), so I don't even know.

I just spent ten minutes on the phone (including a couple minutes on hilarious hold) with JP from X96. It was HILARIOUS. We talked about stripping, the theater of the mind, music, which Batman is best, and I got to listen to him do one of his little in-between-song-spiels BEFORE I heard it on the radio. It was trippy. xD He said he's going to try to play a bunch of our stuff, except his record&edit is being broken on and off, so he'll do the best he can. Really, it was a pretty sweet conversation for talking to a stranger.

And the best bit? I got free (reserved seat) tickets to the X96 special screening of The Dark Knight on Friday out of it.

ii. NewS' Pacific Concert DVD Covers. Only reaction. They're so gay. XPPPP Idk. Just not impressed. It totally reminds me of Never Ending Wonderful Story - which someone pointed out in the comments. ...I only hope hairstyles inside the thing are okay. (aka, NO FRIGGING YAMAPI!CODE BLUE HAIR PLZ.)

iii. SO. Today was cynicalism's day. :DDDD AKA, we hung out today~ Saw Kung Fu Panda which was seriously, surprisingly good. I was already amused but the guy that was two rows behind us? Even more amused. I thought I was talkative during movies, lolol, he was like twice worse. But it was okay because it was amusing and hilarious hearing him react to the movie. It was uber fun, and adorable and a barrel of laughs. The cast was so unexpected because you really cannot tell these voices. I totally knew Jack Black was, well, Jack Black. But everyone else? Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan. :Lkjasldjfakejrio Totally couldn't tell. Fun movie though. I really liked it. :D

We went over to Kino, lol. All stalker-like too. I BOUGHT THE KUROSAGI PHOTOBOOK. For some strange reason, it was in Kino. I am not complaining. as;dlkfjasjdfklaj ♥♥♥ I ended up buying that rather than Jin's Tarzan (which I saw not only at Kino - last copy at that) but it was at Jasmart where we went to later so I could buy my shampoo (TSUBAKI) and some snacks (ONIGIRIS). a;skdjfkeruioasdf I also saw Tackey & Tsubasa's calendars. Two of them. Surprisingly. And upstairs were NewS cds - TOUCH. Pacific. LOL to Seishun Amigo and Fever to Future being there too. Talk about unexpected.

Also, before the movie, we went to Yoshinoya where I couldn't prove my awesome eating skills because we decided last second to catch the movie we intended. lolol Even though we were already like a little over 5 minutes late for it. XPPPP I kept bursting into song - whether it be Don't U Ever Stop, Summer Time, Ai Ai Gasa (I think?), and Seishun Amigo. I blame the last one on Cyn because she totally brought it up. So after Kino, I brought her down to Astor Place. Jasmart, more digs at my weight (I swear I'm over 60), and then, OF COURSE, BEARD'S PAPA. I just realized that I could've taken a picture with my camera instead of my cell phone, but I fail. T.T SO GOOD. I was weirdly sloppy, but we will ignore that. lolol. Sat down for a while there, talked. Blahblahblah, you know the usual with friends.

Then I dragged her over to 14th street (and on our way there, totally almost had a Marilyn Monroe moment - it was hilarious) where we went to the manga bookstore, Forbidden Planet, and then to BARNES AND NOBLES. Back from seeing Mamma Mia which was absolutely amazing. The musical is one of my favourites so I've been looking forward to this for over a year and it was well worth it. It's faithful to the original and the cast are brilliant. Loved the in jokes to three of the male leads past acting roles. I wont say anymore at the moment since it did just come out today and I don't want to spoil it but seriously go and see it!

This pretty much wont make any sense to anyone else but I feel so amazingly happy to just be able to go to the cinema. I couldn't for such a long time and so just being able to go and sit through an entire film makes me actually think that just maybe, things are getting better.

I finally ordered a back issue of Torchwood Magazine #5 as well today. Why was it that the one time I didn't buy it was when my favourite character was on the cover?

Also ordered some books of amazon to keep me going over the summer. I added Brideshead Revisited at the last minute having seen the trailer for the upcoming film today. I'm planning to order The Boy in the Striped Pajamas at a later date since the trailer for that also looked good. The rest are a mixture of PPE-related texts, Dickens, Kana de Manga (I never went back to see if Epcot had this) and some fiction.

I've been thinking about the next year and what I should do in regards to school and work. I want to put my all into the exams (including prelims) and so I want to have the time to do so. What I think I'll do is take some holidays in January (two weeks) so that I can have extra time to revise. As for the actual exams I'm not quite sure yet.

i. As expected, all I've been doing is watching television in its various forms today. Well, that and writing. Slowly. I swear I'm going to finish this AU meme. Swearswearswear. iii. Now on current dramas. No long over-blown analysis. Mainly because I'm too lazy, and I've only seen two dramas. lol And no, not the two you expect. Well, one of them isn't, at least.
- Code Blue: Fuck, I totally got into this. Mind you, I am a-okay with medical dramas... or really, shows. Because I haven't seen any medical jdramas yet, but I have watched Grey's Anatomy and House. And nihongofrancais compared this to Grey's Anatomy and I totally agree. Especially for the four fellowship guys. Totally see it. Kinda hilarious in a sense, but whatever. I likey. Lots. Yamapi is brooding again. Damn, he's hot. And I love Aragaki Yui here. And then she let her hair down - pretty~ Toda Erika is not one of my favorites, but I could stand her here. Not too bad. And I can so see the comparison to Izzy. And that fourth guy to George. I'm so blanking on names. I'll get it eventually.
- Monster Parent: I know, I know. So not expected right? I picked it up because, lol, I saw a cap of Hiraoka Yuta in it and was like, oh, why not? I'm not sure what to take of this drama. From the first episode, I'm not sure where they're gearing up to go with Takamura's character and the development. Are they trying to make her more human? Because she's all, I'm all about winning. Nothing else matters. Or, she's about the money (who's surprised. Lawyer. Money. Ha.). Of course, it's only the first episode, but still. I really do wonder how this series will go. I can't tell if I'm lukewarm towards it or interested or... whatever. Either ways, I was kinda intrigued and the mother that dominated the first episode? Fucking bitch. I wanted to smack her senseless. That was complete and utter harassment. I felt so bad for the teacher. :\\\\\\ I wanted to ask her if she'd even asked her kid what she thought of the teacher beyond her own interpretation of the teacher's actions. :\\\\\ Am so glad my parents were never like this. I'd be not only embarrassed, but really pissed at them for getting rid of a supposedly good teacher. Isn't there already like shortages in teachers? Wtf.

i. First of all, Get Smart? AWESOME MOVIE. I don't think I ever stopped laughing. Which was a good hint of how the day was going to go. :DDDD But seriously guys. Such a good movie. Kept me laughing. Kept me entertained. Steve Carrell did brilliant and I already had a weak spot for Anne Hathaway after the first Princess Diaries (not so much on the second XP). The Rock (ahahaha as I still know him) was hysterical, surprisingly so (imo) because well... The only other movie that I actually liked him in was the Rundown with Seann William Scott (yes, I did look that up - why do you ask?). I thought the cast itself was just absolutely amazing. I was stunned, absolutely stunned to see Agent 13 (tree guy for those who've seen it) mainly because, LOLOL. DID NOT EXPECT HIM OF ALL PEOPLE. I DIED. Random cameos for the frigging win. And I totally squeaked at Masi Oka. HE IS JUST SO ADORABLE, OKAY?!

ii. Went to Chipotle afterwards and... well... we may have gotten into a discussion about flavored condoms... well, yes. We're slightly strange and totally didn't keep talking about this all day.

iii. We went to South Street Seaport, ended up riding the ferry to Staten Island and back. Just because we could. (It's free, you know?) :DDDD Ended up seeing those "waterfalls" that've been built at the tip of Manhattan? Saw a total of three today. They're really quite pretty actually. Although, I do wonder what's up with them. I didn't hear about them until my friend suggested we go see them.

iv. We were dragging our feet by that point, so we dragged said feet into a McDonalds. I will not get into what we ended up doing there that'll make us seem like total dorks (and made us stay there for at least 2 hours because it was just that hilarious), but just know there was a lot of laughter. (There was also a creepy guy that kept asking if it was cold at the McDonalds and hello, dude. I'm wearing a tank top. What do you think I think?)
