This seemed a good place to post my drabble, today's prompt being 'pity fiddle'....
Tendrils reached out and caressed the tear-streaked face. Notes pirouetted like faeries dancing upon the back of a breeze around the child. Faster and faster they spun, rainbowed gypsies around a bonfire, the seamless pattern dizzying. ‘Round and ’round they twirled and circled and just as suddenly- stopped.
The child looked up, blue eyes a lit. "‘Tis not a pity fiddle I play," winked the bard with a fae-touched gleam in his eye. The child returned the contagious grin.
