Due to the horrible weather and road conditions that are expected to continue through tomorrow morning, Midnight is closed this evening. Please note that Metro has already shut down all its above-ground service until Sunday, and that D.C. has imposed a "snow emergency" (allowing it to ticket @ $200+ and/or tow vehicles parked on "snow emergency" routes, including L Street and many of the numbered cross streets downtown). I hope you can rejoin us at Midnight next Saturday instead. We've rescheduled the promo for the new vampire film "Daybreakers" (http://www.daybreakersmovie.com) for the 26th. DJ Liebchen will be back in the booth that night, too, and there'll be lots more to announce... ( New Years Eve on a BUDGET...I have the place for you. Lest there be any doubt, Midnight is indeed open this evening, Sat., Dec. 5. We do, however, urge everyone to exercise extra caution on the roads. And please be aware that, while the storm appears to be over and most roads are just wet now, there may be icing in some places later. Conditions vary considerably around the region. So use your best judgment as to whether it's a good idea to venture forth from your area... 4th December 2009( 12/5/09 ) 3rd December 2009I'm spinning at Alter Ego tomorrow night. Rockabilly, deathrock, goth rock, lounge and punk; OH MY! I picked up some Collns Kids that I'm kinda psychd about. Quick reminder though Cesium 137 is playing Chief Ikes next Tuesday. Not to mention Spellbound Saturday and Nitzer Ebb Sunday. Gonna start my new job with a severe sleep deficit! On Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 Chris Mais (the keyboardist for Radio-Active-Music.com label artist Reaver) and his wife Marsha lost their two-month old daughter to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Radio-Active-Music.com artists as well as friends of the family have come together to present a compilation to help raise money for the family's funeral costs.
