| Looking for Mediocre Chinese |
[10 Jul 2009|04:09pm] |
I'm looking for a good Chinese place but in the cottonwood area. Some place with good greasy americanized chinese with the cookie-cutter menus you've seen a hundred different places, over-feed goldfish, and cheesy wallpaper.
Some place with delivery would be great.
Any recommendations?

Anyone here know of a place that will buy a used washer and dryer from me AND pick it up? I live on the third floor and really don't want to carry it down there when I move!
Thanks in advance. Everyone here always has really awesome suggestions. :)

| Pecan Shell Landscaping |
[08 Jul 2009|02:46pm] |
I'm thinking about doing some bare yard landscaping with pecan shells. I don't want rocks because I don't know if I want this to be a permanent thing, and also I'm cheap.
Anyone ever done this? Advice? Sources you recommend?

| camera lens rental |
[02 Jul 2009|10:37am] |
|
Are there any places to rent Canon SLR lenses in Albuquerque? I'm having trouble finding a place online. (That is a store that rents there with a website. There are plenty of online rental places, but I don't really want to do that if I don't have to.)

| Terminator: Salvation Memorbilia. I need to get rid of it! |
[30 Jun 2009|09:57pm] |
I have four large cardboard posters from the Terminator: Salvation movie (eight if you take them all apart). They were originally part of a standee, but have been taken apart to act as large posters. They're taking up the room my best friend and her boyfriend will be moving into the 17th of June, so I need to get rid of them. I figured it would be a lot easier trying to do this locally, as I don't know how I would go about packaging them and shipping them via ebay. Is anyone interested or know anybody who would be interested in buying them?
Also, I know there is that shop on Central...next to Tokyo Hardcore that takes movie memorbilia. Does anybody know what time they close or have a number for them? If I plan on going down there, I need to borrow my sister's truck, so I'd liked to be prepared. Thanks ;].

That's right it's Monday, and that means Drunk and Nerdy down at Retro's Bar.
It's gonna be a ghastly night of fun and trivia when it's a death themed night. With celebrities dropping left and right over the week...Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays, someone needs to step up and make trivia light of it all.
Rounds for tonight include...

You're not going to get a dead trivia fix like this around town except at Retro's. Where drink specials are on, and where Retro's is now serving pizza.
Quiz starts at 8pm Retro's is located at the corner of Constitution and Wyoming

| Looking for recruiter info |
[24 Jun 2009|04:12pm] |
I am looking to move to Albuquerque by the end of the summer, and will be visiting to job hunt in a few weeks. I wanted to get in touch with recruiters ahead of time to get my resume to them and let them know about my visit so I can schedule some interviews.
Specifically, I am looking for recruiters that deal with IT positions. I have already contacted Robert Half Technology, Excel Staffing, Snelling Staffing, and Express Employment. Can anyone recommend any other recruiters or staffing firms in the Albuquerque area that deal with IT jobs?
Thanks in advance for your input!

| More moving boxes |
[20 Jun 2009|02:55pm] |

If anyone wants moving boxes, there are 7 medium wardrobe boxes collapsed in the recycle box (C-12) in the SW corner of the Wal-Mart at Coors and I-40. (They're not mine, I just noticed them when I was dropping off some other stuff) They look almost new, and are the nice double-wall type Hope someone can use them! Posted via LiveJournal.app.

| Shameless advertising |
[18 Jun 2009|07:58am] |
A while back, I started a community called 505jugglersetc. I'd like to shamelessly promote this community and maybe, just maybe, have a local juggling/poi/diablo/circus stuff community available to discuss these things and promote classes for Albuquerque.

| Bus schedule?? |
[16 Jun 2009|08:22pm] |
I was looking at bus routes 92 and 94. The Unser commuter (whatever it's called) and the Ladera Express. These two have stops close to my work, and I was interested in riding the bus to and from to save gas money. But I was looking at the schedule and, for example, the Unser route only departs Northbound from a stop in the evening twice, and only departs Southbound in the morning twice. The same goes for the Ladera Express. Are the schedules out of date? Or am I reading right? Also, the interactive map has many supposed stops, but there's no bus stopping there. You know what I mean? Seems like these routes are a joke. Am I wrong?
Thanks.
