This weekend we bought Talia her 2nd pair of shoes. She screamed and howled when the girl measured her feet, but seemed very happy to leave the shop with a pink pair of shoes with flowers on them. She also seems to like the clump, clump they make. This evening I walked her out of Nursery - a fatal mistake, as she then doesn't want to be picked up and put in the car!
She now says "Daddy" very clearly, due to excessive amounts of coaching on the drive home from nursery. She also says "Cat", "Hiya", "Bye Bye", "Tinker" (!?), "Shoes" and "Baa Baa Black Sssshh". Much to my delight, she doesn't say Mummy yet! She also sings Old MacDonald and the other day was singing along to Pink Floyd. Yes and Jethro Tull next.
As usual, she brings her coat to us and grabs our hands as a "I want to go out" sign. She smacks her lips as a "I want a drink" and when she's hungry she walks over to her highchair and stands by it. She doesn't care whether it's warm, wet, cold or all three. She'll quite happily clump around on the drive shouting and pointing and chase the cars down the road. She's rather fond of other people's gardens as well...
Her new trick is to throw her favourite teddy out of her cot or over the staircase and then cry and point at it... |
