Hello Members of AS! (and those watching ^^)

It was about 3 months ago, almost in two days, that I made a post about us being 3 off from 700 and in just 3 months we gained over 200+ members :D (And yes I realize it's the same image as last time, but with a major difference :D

Reaching 1000 isn't easy to do so I just wanted to say thank you to all of you out there ^^ I'm very happy to be a part of this group and the admins wanted to thank everyone of you for your constant support/comments/etc. on our projects! Not only does it encourage to continue, but encourages to be a bit faster on releasing ;)

I know that some of our projects have been with us forever but we're working on them and hopefully they will be released soon!

Once again, thank you for your constant support :D Maybe the next time I do this it'll be at 1500? Or maybe 2000 HAHAHA. *remember to bring confetti*

In this installment, they follow Johnny's Entertainment star, Yamashita Tomohisa. Following him for six months, they document such things as the Tokyo Dome concert for their Pacific tour, going to Hawaii for filming the Russ-K cm's, as well as his filming of the Kurosagi movie.

If you still are not able to view the video after this, please let us know and we'll see what we can do. :D

Note2: Sorry everyone, I don't know what happened. It seems half of you can view the files fine, while the rest can't. If you're having problems with the release, you can download the second video link on MU. I'll have mirrors up tomorrow. It's encoded with the same codec, h.264. However, I used a different audio codec and iso_pop has verified with me that the previous synch problems are gone. Do let me know if you still can't view it, and I'll do an Xvid version.

If you have problems playing this release, try installing VLC player, as it comes with the codecs. If you still have problems playing the video, comment and we'll see what we can do. Also, please do give us feedback on the codec used. <3

NOTE: We'll be adding an Xvid version of this release as it seems the x264 has some issues. Feel free to download what's here, but I won't be adding more links until the corrected version is up. Akira SHOCK! Fansubs has gone through a lot of changes in the almost year that we've been producing releases. We've had a lot of fun and its that time again to expand! :D

We've had some members move on to other things, and we wish them the very best! So, this leaves our sub group needing new members! Below you will find a list of what we're looking for:

Translator: You must be able to read and/or understand spoken Japanese, Thai or Spanish. Most of the work we do requires translation of video clips, and on occasion there is written Japanese and/or Thai on screen that will need to be translated. You'll be required to translate this into English; having perfect English is not necessary. For Spanish, you will need to translate from English into Spanish.

Editor: Editors take the finished translated scripts and edit them for sentence structure, grammar, spelling and anything else they might see. They're the first to see if there are any missing lines, and if so, they get the lines from translation. We have enough editors now, thank you! :D

Timer: A very basic knowledge of the language you'll be timing is preferred, but not necessary. Timing takes a great deal of time, so be sure that you're committed when you take on a project. Professionalism and dedication is key as well. Experienced timers are always welcome, but not necessary. We are willing to train you, so long as you have the dedication that will be required to learn.

Quality Control: Quality control consists of taking the finished timed file and reviewing it for any inconsistencies in the file. Are there any missed lines? Do the subs flow smoothly and are they timed correctly? Requirements for this position is excellent knowledge of English. Someone who has a small knowledge of the language to be QC'ed is preferred but not necessary. Training will be provided if you don't have any prior experience.

If you are interested in any of these positions, you can click here and go to our forum to fill out an application, or leave a comment with your name, position you're interested in, and contact information. All comments are screened for privacy. Above all, we are looking for people to help in QC and Timing for Thai, as well as Japanese translators. We're especially looking for Japanese translators that are willing to work on dramas.

We will be collabing on various projects with Kioku Fansubs as well, and anyone that is interested in any of the positions above, let me know as well if you're willing to help them out too. Thanks!

[MOD POST] Re-distributing

Dear Members ~~& leechers~~ XD

This mod post isn't going to be as happy-go-lucky as the last one I had done about how many members that we have. It has come to our attention that several our rules are being broken and things are going on that we can no longer control.

This will be for our releases that feature any Johnny's member. We will be uploading non-related JE dramas (Chinese, Thai, etc.) to online streaming because that's the only way they are distributed, but only a staff member of AS! will be allowed to do so.

+ As many fansub groups have requested, we also do not wish ANY of our releases to be uploading to ANY ONLINE STREAMING SITES which is including BUT not limiting to: Youtube, Google, Veoh, iFilm, Crunchyroll, Dailymotion I know there are many other types of online streaming sites out there and although I have not listed them, it does not mean that site is okay. We do not want to start closing our livejournal/forum to only members or having to put only our releases in our forum for you to join. That is why we ask that you refrain from uploading to online streaming sites. So if you have uploaded or seen any uploaded, please ask the person to take it down. Or if you have uploaded it, please take it down as well.

+ Secondly, please do no redistribute by selling the releases as dvd movies/data discs on any auction sites, such as ebay, or selling them just out in the open for any profit. Why? Because as a fansub group, we are doing this for FREE on our own time and are making NO profit in doing all the work. So please refrain from also selling these for gain of profit. Seriously, burning them into dvds lose the quality and make it harder to read, doesn't it?

Our Rules once again:

Please follow these. We don't want any trouble. We release, you guys watch. We like it. So no breaking the rules, please?
1. Only Akira Shock! staff are allowed to upload AS! files on trackers/bittorrent.
2. We do allow direct links, etc. to be shared among friends and communities as long as the file remains unaltered and credited to Akira Shock! Fansubs.
3. Absolutely NO UPLOADING to streaming media sites including but not limited to Youtube, Google, Veoh, iFilm, Crunchyroll, Dailymotion. This is not open for debate. If any of our releases are found on these sites, we will notify the respective site and have
them removed.
4. Do NOT put our releases up for sale or auction, such as ebay, etc. This should be a no brainer; when we do this for free, we MEAN we are making no money off of this and neither should you.

Dear 697 members of AS!,

Yay! I just wanted to make a post about our fabulous members :] I wanted to do this at our 500th member but I guess I've stopped keeping track and now we've reached almost 700! This could've been done using our AS! account but I personally wanted to thank all the members who download our videos and comment! Without you guys we wouldn't really be doing this nor could we be able to reach this far.

I hope that you all will continue to support our releases even though we may be slow at times in releasing. But nonetheless the comments and downloading still come. Thank you so much! We at Akira SHOCK! Fansubs have a special present for everyone. Thanks to everyones support, we've been around for almost a year now and we want to thank everyone for supporting us! This year has given us a lot of experience and we've had many changes and have improved since we first started.

Description: Shounen Club 2007.06.03. Ueda Guesting 1. This shokura starts out with Nakamaru announcing that Yabu, Hikaru and Yuuto will co-host this episode and the theme for this SC will be "Jinx". And the Jinx Medley begins with 20th Century's 'Jinx'. From the medley, it goes into the Shiroyagi-kun and Kuroyagi-kun's I Got Your Letter segment, where they have 'baby' sheep. Kawaii! :D Talk with Ueda before he and Nakamaru sing Yorokobi no Uta! Junior League has the juniors asking questions about Ueda and he even has to do jumping segment! Hey! Say! 7 performs at the end. <3

Project #32: [SC] 2007.08.05
Description: Shounen Club 2007.08.05. NewS Guesting 1. Return of NewS to Shokura after their hiatus and long over-due. They start out the Shokura singing NewS Nippon and reveal the theme for this Shokura (and the next one) - Summer. As always, a medley follows and the juniors of this Shokura (and the next) are three groups from Kansai (B.A.D., BOYS and OSSaN) as well as our lovely Tokyo boys, Shoon and Taiyou. Ryo joins in for the last two songs of the medley (and elbows a junior). Tegomass is the first to show their summer diary and then perform Kissu. BAD is next as they try to "impress" Nakamaru and show him the most interesting story in order to introduce the next song which is Sayaendou with NewS. Then we get NewS wo Akabe which is seriously the funniest thing I've ever seen (if not irritating from the timing viewpoint). Shoon and Taiyou both perform solosand then together. Hey!Say!7 get interviewed and their PV is played. (Hey!Say! just as a reminder~) Yamapi then gets interviewed and has his own medley. And NewS ends the Shokura with Kirameki no Kanata e~

Enjoy the entire (really packed) Shokura! :D
