EsoZone approaching

For those of you who haven't bought tickets yet, I suggest you do so. This year's event looks to be bigger and better than last, including luminaries like Dennis McKenna, Antero Alli, Paul Laffoley, musical performances, and a lot more.

If that wasn't enough, "famous on the Internet" James Curcio will be there. Presenting an audio installation, as well as possibly a workshop. I am also working on lining up a special late-night treat for all of you- I'll make an announcement if it goes through.

Speakers at Esozone.

http://www.esozone.com

This is more than a history, it is a passionate account of living magick and the transcendent power of Love.

The epic sweep of the text takes us from Babylon to Jerusalem to Rome, and onwards to Apocalypse.
It looks at the angelic work of renaissance mage John Dee.
It lays bare the excesses of Aleister Crowley, and unlocks the secrets of Waratah Blossoms.
It explains the immolation of the Californian antichrist-superstar Jack Parsons and his relationship with Scientology founder L.Ron Hubbard.

This is the missing history of the Holy Whore.

Thirteen essays conclude the book on subjects including: roses, mirror magick, BDSM, aphrodisiac drugs, the information age, love vs lust, and the meaning of apocalypse.

Intelligent and balanced reviews for the previous edition from both readers and people of standing in the occult community can be found at www.scarletimprint.com

Those working with Ishtar, Inanna, Lilith, Kali, Sekhmet, Bast, Freya, Pomba Gira, Erzulie, witchcraft, Tantra, sacred sex and ritual transgression will find much here to intrigue, inspire and challenge them.

The Red Goddess is suitable for anyone with blood in their veins, regardless of tradition, background or experience.

It is a Love story.

To secure your copy please credit our paypal account for £37 plus postage scarletimprint@gmail.com

Postage rates are:
UK First Class £4
Europe £6
Worldwide £10

If you do not have a paypal account and wish to pay by cheque (uk residents only), please email us and we will forward you our postal address.
If you need our IBAN and SWIFT numbers for an international bank transfer again, email us and we will provide you with them.

Full details can be found at www.scarletimprint.com

This is an important book for these times.

In Nomine Babalon

Scarlet Imprint x

Book of the Law

This may not be the place for this, but I'm hoping if not, I can get a few hints what the right place would be.
I've been reading the Book of the Law, and I'm seeing discrepancies between the type written version at the beginning, and the copy of the MS at the back.
Book 1:14 in the TS shows the first stanza of the obverse side of the Stele of Revealing. The MS shows 1 hard to make out line of script, that doesn't match. The 1994 copy of Book 4, the 1992 printing of the Book of the Law, and the OTO's official online copy all show the same thing.

It's my understanding the TS was not to have so much as a single letter changed from the MS. Does anyone have a hint why these don't match, and a better idea of what the MS actually shows?

So

Did Howard the Mad Prophet collapse on stage because the Hacketts who program the CCA (falsely called) pardoned him and relinquished their copyright on his image, or did the CCA kill him?

One wonders if it's at all possible for me to convey, illustrate, and terminate the last thread, for all of you, binding us to the reality of their illusions.

Can you shut off the tube, and be at one with the tube? Can you fuse with the image? Can you let go of the fear of being entirely alone?

Others' entanglements in the Hacketts' illusions keep us unenlightened. And everyone whose feet touches the Earth is infected by varying degrees.

Want power unimaginable? Want immortality? Want legacy? Want Empire?

Separate yourself from the weak and the Hacketts' illusions. Be alone. Conquer yourself which is the tube.

Eyes open, centered, beyond emotion though fully relaxed in an upright position without back support, train not to blink.

How many times do you carry the cross? 6 times.

Be a Hackett, you're called.

Understanding Eastern Meditation

Depending on which account one considers most accurate, it’s been argued Patanjali wrote the Yoga Sutra as a response to Siddharta Gautama's philosophy of Buddhism. The latter is a deviation from the Samkhya philosophy, the oldest Hindu orthodox religion derived from the Indo-Iranian Vedic civilization; the former, a clarification of it. Before Buddhism spread to China Daoism of Laozi was in every way similar to the Samkhya philosophy save a few minor details in meditative practice, which they adapted from Mongolian shamans. Tibetan Buddhists incorporated Mongolian shamanism into their edicts as well. Suffice it to say these three primary Eastern monoliths of thought differ in only mild ways. They may label their meditative states of consciousness by numerous names, but each state of consciousness is the same, with the exception of Nirvana. The most descript among the philosophies is the Samkhya as expounded by Patanjali. As such I’ll use its linguistic variants; and hopefully successfully show how dualistic Monotheistic religions beginning with Zoroastrianism, borrowed, perhaps for solely political reasons, from the Samkhya.

The premise is that there is a superimposition of two distinct, separate and absolute eternities: Consciousness and Matter; Purusha and Prakriti respectively. Matter through the three Gunas Sattva, Rajas and Tamas, comprise the perceived physical Universe. Matter by Western esotericism is Soul. Tamas is life existing without spiritual contemplation; Rajas is the origination of emotional afflictions; Sattva is source of mental afflictions; and Matter is central to the physiological, and not the spiritual, condition.

The stages of contemplation are really few in classification. At first one contemplates in the stages of Samprajnata Samadhi, which is the harmonization and negation of emotional and mental afflictions in one’s present incarnation [klesha-vrtti and citta-vrtti]. The result is realization of Soul, the symbolic Christ. By Samyama eventually one realizes the Oversoul, as detailed by Ralph Waldo Emerson; or Asamprajnata Samadhi. Here is where Western civilization’s orthodoxy ends.

If Samyama is adhered to within Asamprajnata Samadhi a phenomenon takes places that evidences through an onslaught of memories of the æons of incarnations one’s had. The realizing such brings to the surface a terrestrial individuality that is at once superior to and also responsible for numerous incarnations. The Iranian Sufis call this the Pure Inner Man, or Phos. In Judæic religios it’s called I AM, or Eheieh. By modern occultic convention due to the fusion of solely Western religions and philosophies falsely label the experience and the state as The Holy Guardian Angel.

There are two states of consciousness that preside over Phos; that if not realized continues the cycle of reincarnation. Much fear has been propagated, starting with the certain sects of Jewish orthodoxy adopting Babylonian pagan pantheonism, of the passage that integrates Phos with omnipresent and omniscient consciousness. They’ld have you believe that extinction of the spiritual identity is only found beyond Asamprajnata Samahdi. With the New Testament of the Bible only pointing to Samprajnata Samadhi for those not privy to Samyama or the symbolic meaning of the Crucifixion, Islam was founded not in a way dissimilar than that of Patanjali expanded the Samkhya philosophy. Sufism treats Gnostic and Eastern philosophies fairly.

The passage Kabbalists call Da’at; Sufis call the Black Light, or nir-e siyah; Eastern philosophies call Void and the Egyptians call the Abyss is the sole cohesive force that unites two eternal infinities. As Phos the experience is wholly narcissistic and linear. One may feel as if connected to the entire Universe but it is in no way different in perspective than if we were to assume that realization in our physical forms without meditation. By Samyama and after the passage through the Abyss one realizes that they are the very strata that created Matter. However in Dharma Megha Samadhi Matter isn’t entirely extracted from Consciousness. By Samyama Nirivikalpa Samadhi shows Truth in eternal omnipresent reality in all time-frame dimensions and omniscience: The Ancient of Most Ancient Teachers. If Nirvikalpa Samadhi isn’t realized in one incarnation reincarnating is inevitable, and one begins, if they are lucky to begin again, from the very first step on the path of spiritual freedom.

The Western Truth of raping Matter and Hearts of Knowledge is a lie and called siddhi indulgence to a Raja Yogi.

Siddharta Gautama called the state beyond Nirvikalpa Samadhi Nirvana. Others call it God. Everyone sane calls it spiritual extinction.

Tell me: How do governments benefit by you not realizing your utmost spiritual potential?

Every man, woman and child can be free and free from being governed. That’s the threat. That’s where your programmed fear of loss of individual free-will and economic concerns originate; that, and being manipulated by your peers not to realize your supreme and sovereign existence because they are too cowardly, or ignorant in their own studies, to realize it in themselves.
What of Magick in the highest planes? Do you not think if realizing that one IS the strata that created Matter one can't mold Matter to one's Will?

The Black Dot

http://www.alterati.com/blog/?p=589

"Alterati editor-in-chief James tipped me off to a book he saw in a crazy book store tucked away in an obscure corner of Philadelphia’s Reading Terminal Market. Beside the Aleister Crowley and Eliphas Levi tomes and David Icke DVDs was a book about a magickal approach to hip hop. After some digging The Matrix of Hip Hop website and the Hip Hop Decoded: From its Ancient Origin to its Modern Day Matrix book was unearthed.

The author – Harlem based The Black Dot – outlays a trippy occult Hip Hop cosmology, probably best expressed in the video The Five Bloodlines of Hip Hop, where we learn how our ancestors (well, maybe not mine …) came to earth through five elemental gateways, how the Golden Age was destroyed by parasitic mutants, the transformation of the elemental archetypes of communication (Hieroglyphics, Drummer, Oracle, and Dancer into Graffiti, DJ, Emcee, and B-Boy), the unifying power of the etheric pineal gland, how the ancestral bloodlines were reactivated by hip hop in 1973, how the mutants tried to use gangster rap to thwart the reactivation and the hip hop zero point singularity of 2012 where the planet will vibrate to throbbing higher dimensional beats and rhymes."

Despite the glut of ridiculous controversy that surrounded the rather mediocre Da Vinci Code - which to date has included the outrage of an “Albino rights” group and the ruffled feathers of the “mythical” Opus Dei - a great deal of the information at the heart of that story is (loosely) based on fact.

Given quotes from Vatican officials, such as Monsignor Robert Sarno, “…I just think it has been given a lot more truth value and faith value than it has … it just reads as an entertaining value,” perhaps their gripe is that their Holy scripture is much the same.

The Da Vinci Code is not the first book to cover these subjects; it may, however, be the most watered down and trivialized. In a world where everything must be accurately summarized in a paragraph, it is no wonder that it became a mass market hit.

For that reason, I wanted to point your attention instead towards Umberto Ecco’s Foucault’s Pendulum, a book which was both a little too dense and a little too early to catch the recognition it deserved.

Full article on Alterati.com (includes excerpt of Audio Book by Tim Curry.)

The G-Spot episode 5

This special episode is offered up in both video and audio iPod formats. This piece, titled Pan and Me serves as a rambling preamble to the soon to follow drunken constitution known as THE EGG. Not much can be said about THE EGG other than it has begun pre-production and that nothing else can be said about it. Follow Joseph Matheny into realms hitherto unknown as he explores the strange world of synchronicity, Santa Cruz and Pan.

http://www.alterati.com/blog/?p=244

GLOR #18 (finally!)

http://www.greylodge.org/occultreview/glor_018/glor_issue18.htm

Ok, it’s been two years since we’ve published a GLOR. WTF have we been doing? Well, as you may or may not know, Greylodge has experience explosive growth over the last 2 years. We’ve had to upgrade servers several times to accommodate the ever increasing traffic (Feb. 07, we did 9.5 million visits), thanks to a myriad of mainstream media write- ups and insane link proliferation in the blogosphere we’ve had to build up to a Dual Intel 3.4 Xeon GHz CPU with its own dedicated 100 megabit connection.Woo. So, now that we’re settled and massive traffic seems to be manageable, Dr. Grey has taken it upon himself to redesign GreyLodge Occult Review, which is, after all along with sTarE, the roots of this crazy experiment. New look, new feel, new content, same feisty I-don’t-give-a-damn-teetering- on-the-edge-of-ruin attitude. heh

Myself, Herr Doktor, and several of our close co-conspirators have dug into our private reserves once again to present you with GLOR #18. This time it’s personal! Ok, just kidding about that last part, but I’m not kidding about this: This issue of GLOR is dedicated to our dearly departed friends Robert Anton Wilson and Alison Meeder. In fact, we are planning a special RAW memorial issue in the near future, as soon as we’re finished ripping and massaging some choice cuts of hitherto unseen RAW prime filet.

Until next time, happy networking!

Dr. Grey & PaleRider

Contained in GLOR #18:

FALLEN NATION: Babylon Burning
A psychedelic roadtrip across the highways of the modern collective unconscious. It's a world where just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you, where the things you dream about can come back to haunt you when you wake, and where the end of this world is just the beginning of another.

The Golden Dawn Audio Series
An unparalleled and unique opportunity to hear Dr. Regardie's own voice providing instructions on magical methods and the Golden Dawn. Make Sure you don't miss the EXTRA!
WAX, or the Discovery of Television Among the Bees
The bizarre fictional story of Jacob Maker, weapons-guidance designer and committed beekeeper. When the bees drill a hole in Jacob's head and insert a television whose supernatural images control his will, Jacob enters an hallucinatory alternative reality.

Ultraculture Journal
Ultraculture Journal One collects under one cover the most volatile and direct magickal writing currently available in the English language. It will change you at the cellular level. You have been forewarned.

Soviet/Russian Parallel Cinema
'What on earth is parallel cinema? Who is a part of this in the USSR? I will try to answer the questions simply and in a straight forward way. All Soviet citizens have the right to know about this new movement in cinema, so that after a difficult working day, he or she can entertain the proud thought: "We have parallel cinema..." And may fellow citizens have bright dreams, which are in fact the most democratic form of parallel cinema in the world.'

Derrida: Dissemination
'Who is it that is addressing you? Since it is not an author, a narrator, or a deus ex machina, it is an I that is both part of the spectacle and part of the audience, an I that, a bit like you, undergoes its own incessant violent reinscription within the arithmetical machinery. An I that functioning as a pure passageway for operations of substitution is not some singular and irreplaceable existence, some subject or life. But only rather moves between life and death, between reality and fiction. An I that is a mere function or phantom.'

Deleuze: Cinema 1 & 2
The broad sweep of Deleuze's two cinema books, Cinema 1: The Movement-Image and Cinema 2: The Time-Image , is to chart a fundamental shift from classical pre-WW2 cinema [movement-image] to post-WW2 cinema [time-image].

BANKSY X 3
- Banging Your Head Against A Brick Wall
"Nearly a hundred pictures are featured here. Each and every one of them a pathetic cry for help" -The Guardian
- Existencilism
"Superficially his work looks deep but it's actually deeply superficial" -Evening Standard
- Wall and Piece
"There's no way you're going to get a quote from us to use on your book cover" -Metropolitan Police Spokesperson
Hatred of Capitalism: A Semiotext(e) Reader
What an anthology. Over 400 pages packed with the likes of Kathy Acker, George Bataille, Jean Baudrillard, William Burroughs, John Cage, Gilles Deleuze, Bob Flanagan, Michel Foucault, Felix Guattari, J-F Lyotard, Ulrike Meinhof, Kate Millet, Cookie Mueller, David Rattray, Ann Rower, Assata Shakur, Michelle Tea, Lynne Tillman, Paul Virilia and many, many more. Twenty-five years of some of the finest writing to come out of America, France, and beyond.

Paul Virilio: The Vision Machine
"It is a war of images and sounds, rather than objects and things, in which winning is simply a matter of not losing sight of the opposition. The will to see all, to know all, at every moment, everywhere, the will to universalised illumination: a scientific permutation on the eye of God which would forever rule out the surprise, the accident, the irruption of the unforeseen."

The eXtreme eBook Collection
The Selfish Meme: A Critical Reassessment By Kate Distin - Dr. Strangelove's Game By Paul Strathern - THE BLACK BOOK Volume III, Part 1, Galt's Ark: The Black Symphony, First Movement - THE BLACK BOOK Volume III, Part 2, Galt's Ark: The Black Symphony, Second Movement - Mind Hacks: Tips & Tricks for Using Your Brain By Tom Stafford, Matt Webb - Social Amnesia: A Critique of Contemporary Psychology By Russell Jacoby - The Empty Space: A Book About the Theatre: Deadly, Holy, Rough, Immediate By P. Brook - Signifying Identities; Anthropological Perspectives on Boundaries and Contested Values By Anthony Cohen - The Posthuman Condition: Consciousness Beyond the Brain By Rob Pepperell - The Human Condition By Hannah Arendt - Body of Secrets: Anatomy of the Ultra-Secret National Security Agency By J. Bamford

Conspiracy Pack

Video: The Hour of Our Time - The Legacy of William Cooper. The only official documentary of William "Bill" Cooper's life, works, legacy and his shocking demise that night of November 6, 2001.

eBooks: Bramley: The Gods of Eden - Lady Queenborough: Occult Theocrasy - Spenser: The Cult of the All-Seeing Eye

Luigi Serafini - Codex Seraphinianus
...it is a highly idiosyncratic magnum opus by an Italian architect indulging his sense of fancy to the hilt. It consists of two volumes in a completely invented language (including the numbering system, which is itself rather esoteric), penned entirely by the author, accompanied by thousands of beautifully drawn colour pictures of the most fantastic scenes, machines, beasts, feasts, and so on. It purports to be a vast encyclopedia of a hypothetical land somewhat like the earth, with many creatures resembling people to various degrees, but many creatures of unheard-of bizarreness promenading throughout the countryside. Serafini has sections on physics, chemistry, mineralogy (including many drawings of elaborate gems), geography, botany, zoology, sociology, linguistics, technology, architecture, sports (of all sorts), clothing, and so on. The pictures have their own internal logic, but to our eyes they are filled with utter non sequiturs.

http://www.greylodge.org/occultreview/idxs/gloridx.html

http://www.greylodge.org/occultreview/glor_018/glor_issue18.htm
