The Beginning

Who: Everyone
Where: Savage Cove - Housing Projects
When: Thursday, October 25, 2007. 1:30 PM
Rating: PG-13/R

Eyes snapping open, Alice rolls off the bed, landing on the carpeted floor in a crouch. Quickly looking around the bedroom, the blonde relaxes a small bit when she realizes she's not in any immediate danger, standing, and looking around. A bag... A bag of what? Frowning in wariness, Alice ignores the bag, for now, instead walking over to the nearest window, peeking out of the blinds. Stepping away from the window almost immediately, the ex-head of security turns away, eyes closing to try and forget the sickening sight.

What had happened here? Stepping towards the previously ignored bag, Alice kneels next to it, picking it up and holding it to her ear. No sounds that could betray a hidden bomb or something of the sort. What happened here? She doesn't need to think long to come up with an answer. She's seen gore like this before, left behind by raging undead scavengers, only wanting a bite of food. Did the nuke not work? Or was this even Umbrella's doing? No... She didn't sense the T-Virus anywhere, and if this was Umbrella's doing, she'd be sensing it in large masses. Where was she?

Setting the bag down, Alice opens it, beginning to dig through it. Clothes, soap, shampoo. What the hell was this? Someone's fucked up joke of a vacation? Closing her eyes, the blonde sits back, trying to remember. What had happened before she woke up here? The helicopter, the explosion... the piece of shrapnel planting itself in her gut. Eyes opening again, Alice shakes her head, trying to rid herself of those memories. So, what? Was she dead? Was this hell?

Ignoring the questions, she digs deeper into the bag. It was too heavy for just clothes and bath accessories... Hand closing around cold metal, Alice pulls out a 9 millimeter, looking at it, before giving a small smirk. Well, if this is hell, at least she has some form of protection. Quickly digging out another gun and their holsters, Alice makes sure they're loaded. They are. Strapping on her only weapons, the blonde leaves the rest of the bag, heading for the bedroom door.

Opening it, Alice is almost forced back into the bedroom by the sight of blood smearing the walls, along with the stench of death. What in hell had happened to this place? Stepping out into the hallway, the blonde listens closely for any other sound as she makes her way to the lower floor of the house, peeking into any other rooms she passes. No survivors. Are there even any at all?

Shaking her head after a quick look in the kitchen and living room, Alice opens the front door, heading outside, a hand never leaving one of the guns at her waist. Better safe than sorry, after all...
