✩ New shrine: Skyward

From my salty, pouring tears and heartaches arose, Skyward, a small tribute to Lockon Stratos ( Neil Dylandy ) of the anime series, Kidou Senshi Gundam 00.

I was on the fence whether I should proceed with it ( creating the shrine ) because it originally was an experiment of sorts ( started with the theme ) but of course, my feelings always prevail so even when I had doubts, I still wanted one to show my love for this wonderful, tragic character. ♥ Plus, when I found out that dear kitare was also making one with "Skies" also under the name, it was just destiny's call for persevering. ♥ We then both decided to have a joint release.

The first deadline was set on 2/14 but it soon fell apart so we opted to release it on his birthday, 3/3 with our best. ♥

As far as progress goes, I've only done basics and will focus more on the "in-depth" parts ( which I have 3 of ). I wont start with the relationships until later the month because I currently have a big, pain-in-the-butt project for my Pol Studies class. ( @ x @ ) and I'm subjected to team mates that are .... yeah. ( basically the writing parts and critical thinking are left towards me and my friend ... and we have 4 others out there -___ - )I'm really hoping to complete it by then though. ♥

Questions, comments, concerns, and criticisms are welcome. The pages aren't proofread because ... I really just kind of squeezed it in between work. xDD;;

Ahh. How long has it been since I've managed to write something here?

Due to RL events, I was unable to actually do some web work. I'm actually not in the mood to do anything but I'm trying. (laughs)

And to prove it, I finally finished Taemin's fanlisting. XD You could tell I was extremely lazy. Heck, I didn't even create a sidebar for the links nor did I bothered to texturize the background of the content (like I usually do). I'm not fond of the header (most especially since it's not really my "style") but I'm trying. (AHAHA)

EDIT: 08/12/08 @ 11:40 pm:// Uh, I finally finished the design for Winter Scent. Believe it or not, the .psd file was created way back in May. O_O! Yeahh, it's pretty ancient. I was really enthusiastic using this as WS's fifth version ... but in between the passed time, I managed to create a design that I was rather fond with (it features Rurouni Kenshin ~) and I was contemplating whether to use the initial 5th version ... or the new one. In the end, I just decided to use the latter for the 6th version and the prior as the 5th. XDD

And is it just me, or am I really fond of dark color schemes? (8DDDD) You'll see what I mean soon. XD

Despite the lack of "updates" for the month of July, I have been working. (ahaha) It's just that I wanted to bring a big updates ... but now I can see that such wish is impossible ... (cause I'm a turtle)

So why the name change? (I would have renamed it, but it costs $15 just to have everything changed. Why waste money when you can just simply create a new one? So the old posts wouldn't be here; big deal) :p

I've realized it several times but it's just recently that I've thought things through.

Of course most of the things that are named stem from fandom. No questions ask.

I just felt that there are just things that is very repetitive and it never fails to annoy me seeing such duplicates. (uh, I'm taking about names/titles) I guess, what I mean to say is, there was no creativity at my part. It's just very redundant

Example, the words LOVE, SAKURA, and CHERRY, and other commonly used Japanese words.

You can seriously look through the lists of my sites and you would discover that there are at least two things that are incorporated with the words mentioned above.

Below are the names that became an annoyance:

HATSUKOI; yes, the network name of winter-scent.net; Not only have I seen this word several times, but after a while, I got tired of it. I just don't have the feeling of "first love" really in terms of using this word. Of course, WS is still the "First Love" network, however, just not English as it is rather too plain.
Forget Me Not; the old layout archive - cause yes, I have plans to move it & name change; Creativity there? No. Forget me nots are flowers that reminds you to not forget. "Remember me" in other words. Of course you wouldn't want to forget the layouts you've created before as you labored all day/night. You want to see your progress througout the years, right? ... But really, the name isn't original at all. It's to be expected. Besides, I've found another layout archive with the same name.
Cherry Petal Dust; the old updates journal; this stem from sakura petals. Nuff said. Dust was just added to make it more magical. And though I really love the name (most especially since it reminds me of princes and princess, I don't really know why), it still was stuck to the old days of merely naming it due to obsessions. Tsk tsk.

Thus, I changed the names of the aforementioned.

HATSUKOI network has been changed to PRIMUS AMOR network. "Primus Amor" is first love in Latin. Now that's what I call first love. Latin, the olden language. I feel the term "first love" more with the latin words.
Forget Me Not has been changed to KALEIDOSCOPE. Isn't it a much prettier name? It's symbolism. (: Besides, the number 3 definition (over @ dictionary.com) is clear as water: "a continually shifting pattern, scene, or the like"
Cherry Petal Dust is now AGRODOLCE. Okay, so the url of the community has "AGRODULCE" ... but that is because "AGRODULCE" is already taken. Now, agrodolce is the Italian word for bittersweet. Why Italian?? Well, I was planning to use Latin again, but alas! I couldn't find it anywhere. Italian is the closest to it (in my taste). Why bittersweet? (well, prepare for a long-ish explanation) Snowlike Tears = Snowlike (winter-scent.net) + Tears (sakuchi.org). I love winter. I love snow (despite not having experienced seeing/touching snow). Thus, winter-scent.net took the place of Snowlike (besides when it's winter, you get to cuddle up with your loved ones, wink wink). Now, Sakuchi came to be for my 16th b-day present to myself. But the origin of the name was taken from my crack Naruto OTP which is Haruno Sakura & Uchiha Itachi. Now usually, fans use the characters first/last names/combinations and almost always the boy's name first following the female. In my case, sakuchi is stem from the following SAKURA & ITACHI. Their "love" is depicted as forbidden and almost out of reach (hence, the Star-cross'd adj included int the network name). I know that sakuchi was produced because of the said origin, and that fandoms die sooner or later... but aside from all that, I earnestly like the name. Star-cross'd wasn't put into the network name merely because of itasaku but more because I am truly intrigued with said relationships. Reading such kind of relationships is somewhat of a thrill; it's quite exciting. BOTTOMLINE: Love is bittersweet. It's the sweetest and probably the most bitter (at the same time w/ love). Hence also "amplifying" the depth of the Snowlike Tears network.

IDK. I wanted most if not everything to have a connection to each other. Yeah, I'm kinda lame. :|

So, I think I've "matured" a little 83. The names have more significance ... and imo a bit "exotic" XDD (okay, I'm definitely a weirdo ...)

Think of this as my mark on "revolutionizing" the Snowlike Tears network and the like (and growing up a bit). [:
