About
It’s quick, it’s clean and it’s pure -
it could change your life, rest assured.

It is the late 21st century; the world is dirty and dark, illuminated only by neon lights. Organ failure is commonplace among what remains of the human race. For those still alive, surgery is the only option to prolong their lives and cheat death. Gene Co., an organ supplier company, thankfully offers cheap and affordable organ transplants with easy payments. However, those who are post-op only live in fear of the Repo Man until their debts are paid. Failure to meet Gene Co.’s demands only results in the repossession of your organs. For you. . . that means death.

And in this world, you are worth the same dead as you are alive.

REPO! The Genetic Roleplay is a multifandom, alternate universe roleplay loosely based upon REPO! The Genetic Opera.

This is the 21st Century cure.

This is the networking community. Here is where your characters will post first person posts using their communication devices. There are three different kinds of posts you can make:

Written posts are the easiest way of posting to the open network. It works just as LiveJournal does; you post a small entry of text, and anyone can read and reply.

Voice posts are just like LiveJournal's voice posts. Using your communication devices, you record your voice post with a maximum of 3 minutes. After it is completed, you can post it and a large play button will appear on the post for others to click and listen.

Video posts are not as common as voice or written posts. The video recording feature of your communication device is limited. Usually you can only get your face into the shot, and not much else. Video screens are very small. Video posts are viewed as holograms, so they are 3-dimensional in about a 3 inch by 3 inch cube. The video quality is similar to that of night vision so everything is dark, static and mostly green with extremely limited color display.

You can also filter posts if you only want specific people to see it, but the open network is not secure. It's possible for someone knowledgeable to hack into your locked posts - however, if you are knowledgeable enough you can lock your posts more tightly. To filter a post, just specify in the subject line who you are filtering to/from and how tightly it is locked.

More information about your communication devices can be found in the setting post in the technology section.

Please also tag your posts with your character's name and what type of post it is. If you have filtered your post, tag it accordingly.

Ask a Gentern if Zydrate is right for you.
