Sidenote: It's been more than 5 years since I posted my first OUaTiM fic on this community. Wow. PS, this is a OUaTiM / Burn Notice crossover. It's a little light in Sands in this chapter, but I'll make up for it later.
Title: Blame It On Mexico, Chapter 1
Author: Roadparty
Rating: PG-13 for exactly one f-bomb, no porn, and only off-screen violence.
Genre: Slash, eventually
Pairing: Michael/Victor and Sands/El, eventually
Summary: Burn Notice goes AU after "Lesser Evil". Victor lives and the team goes to where all things go when they want to go to hell. Mexico. Crossover with Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Why? Because every fandom needs a little Johnny Depp in it.
Notes: It's been literally years since I actually wrote fanfic. Even more years since I wrote OUaTiM fanfic. I've never written BN fanfic. Spellchecked and reread, but not beta'd. Feedback is nice, but anything constructive is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. There's no point in writing for years and years and years if you never get any better at it. Also, apologies to George Strait for using his song to title a fic that I'm relatively sure he wouldn't approve of. And, yeah, I don't own Burn Notice or USA or Once Upon a Time in Mexico or Robert Rodriguez or anyone like that. And you can't have my laptop. It's not paid for yet.

Well, it's been two years. I knew this was going to be a long one, and I knew it would take me a while to write, with so many RL factors cutting in on writing time. But I was originally thinking more like a year, not two.
Anyway, with massive help from Solo and Julia and Lady Ganesh on the editing, it's done, as close to my satisfaction as it's ever likely to get. The sixth in the 'Wires' series from Robert Rodriguez's crazy, glorious, twisted Mexico - more Sands/El, more foul language and all that other stuff that people supposedly find offensive.

I know it’s still a week until the Day of the Dead, but here’s a little DotD prezzie for the two or three folks who are still interested. Sorry it took so long.
El and Sands do not belong to me and never will, but, after some extensive therapy, I’ve been able to come to terms with that fact.
