Who watched Shark last night?!

First of all: NOOOO. I can't believe they're cancelling it. Can
someone confirm this as being true/false? Sorry for the xp, but I
gotta know if it's true.

Secondly: That band Castaneda that was on last night was so good! I

Anyway, if someone could please verify if Shark getting cancelled is
true or not, please advise. And sorry again for the XP.

Imagine my utter joy at stumbling upon this community- have forever felt like a weirdo for fancying men who are well into their fifties and edging into their sixties. I feel right at home here-

Of course, my love of older men doesn't stop only at actors and other famous people. My current boyfriend is 49 years old. He's nearly 26 years older than me. I too often have to deal with the "daddy issues" stigma that comes with having an older boyfriend. I have a wonderful relationship with my father, yet have always had problems relating to people at or around my own age, males and females. I think it's just a matter of taste and compatibility.

Still have a thing for Al Pacino, been a favorite of mine since forever.
others include Anthony Hopkins, Robert Deniro (its the shoulders), Ed Harris, Geoffery Rush, Rutger Hauer, Sam Niell, and i'm sure at least a dozen more. Carradine's been recently added to the list since repeated watchings of Kill Bill. :D

this is a question i asked myself not for ther first time, and i allways wonder why.
this post ist a try to find an possible answer.

first of all, im a german girl, so please forgive me my spelling and grammar mistakes.

i am a 20 year old girl, who is atraccted to older men. but why?
some people would say that it is nothing else than an "father complex". that i try to compensate my weak reationship to my father with older men. that im searching for a "father figure". but i wouldn'd agree to that.
well, i must commit that my realtionship to my father ist not a normal one. because my parents separated when i was only 6 years old. but i allways had good contact to my father, and a few years ago (when i was 16) my parents married again, and they're happy like two teenagers.
but i always felt disatracction for men who behaved or looked like my dad.my own father is really small and thin, he is even smaller than me (im about 5'3), but i'm atraccted to very tall strong men. so what could it be else?
my opinion is that i'm searching for a "protector",someone i can trust. but not for a "second father". and to be honestly im disgusted to this "young girl tries to seduce her own father" incest thing!

that might be a "psycologic" try to find an answer. but what makes an older men better than someone in my age?
personally i'm a very calm person. i dont like to go out to parties (or at least not that often) i'm very interested in art (im a very creative person myself) and science, i read every book i can get. and i would consider myself as an very old soul and intellectual person. and i also enjoy watching an good old movie from the 20's 30's, 40's or 50's. as much as i like it to listen to music of that time.
and please tell me how many 20 year old men have the same interests? - allmost none. so its easier for my to share my passions with older men. and it is true "the older they are, the older they become". the have more life experience and intelligence. the know the value of a great book.

but im a very visual person too. and i must commit that im quite atraccted to little wrinkles or some grey hair.

and yet, i haven'd found an easy, satisfying answer. because there is no easy answer. everyone has his/her own reasons.

but still, i want to resume my reasons why im atraccted to older men:
- they are more intelligent (you are able to have a serious conversation with them)
- they have more life experience (what makes them more "easy going" and relaxed)
- the know the value of culture (music, art, books, films ...)
- the know how to treat a woman
- and some of them look better when they become older.

i hope it was interesting to read. and please tell me what do you think about it.

I found this group by chance and I thought it would be interesting to see other people's views.
Before anyone accuses me of being a 'poser' I will give a little information about myself for purposes of wanting to be a member. No I dont have a boyfriend or a girlfriend that is just a few years older then me. I lost my virginity when I was fourteen to a man that was thirty-five. I know a thing or two about relationships with older men.
I believe chidlren are capable of persuing loving wholesome relationships with adults, but society ruins it by getting in the way. Some adults abuse their authority over a child and mark the child for life, while children are hustlers even in youth and take down an adult.
The truth is, in today's society it will never be accepted, of course years ago interracial marriage was banned now it's wrong if you try to stop it and soon gay marriage will be legal.
You never know.
