AFIsecret is a continous online art project, aimed at encouraging people to share their secrets anonymously through the means of art.

AFIsecret is based on the art project PostSecret, which has influenced much of Livejournal. It is run by misselegy, as an outlet for people wishing to post secrets about AFI, a band who has profoundly affected their lives.

Please friend the community. Do not try to join it. Thank you.

P A R T I C I P A T I N G
Anyone can participate in AFIsecret. All you need is any medium of paint program on your computer (eg. Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, MSPaint, etc.), an image hosting website (eg. TinyPic) and a secret to tell! You can even make your secret without use of a digital paint program if you have the means to upload it to your computer (a scanner or digital camera would be useful here.) Post your secret anonymously in the Weekly Submission's entry, which ends every Friday, and get your secret out without having to tell a single soul who you are. Secrets will then be posted, frequency and length of posts dependent upon the number of secrets submitted each week. Every secret submitted will be posted. There will be posts once or twice a week, maybe up to three times depending on the amount and mods available. Please be patient with us as we just started up this community and have to get used to the flow of it.

R U L E S
There are very few rules to AFIsecret. It doesn't matter what your secret is: it can be silly, lighthearted, dark or just plain disgusting. So long as it's a secret, we want to hear it. There are three main rules to afi_secret, that will always be enforced:

1. Any secret you post must be your secret. We do not want to hear about what "Mary" did.
2. All secrets should be kept below 800px wide and 600px height. This is in consideration of the dial-up users who visit the community.
3. Do not flame in the comments! We are allowing anonymous comments, and we are not logging IP addresses. This means everyone can reply to the secrets shared, but anything rude will be screened or deleted immediately. If you are caught, you will be banned from the community, and the ban will be final.
4. The only method of submitting secrets is to comment on a submissions post
