Thank you to everyone who joined in for last month's theme of The Preternatural. Unfortunately our hostess, celticmama wasn't able to complete all the posts she had planned, but she started well and you all joined in with some great stuff where you could! A big Thanks to one and all!

brought to you by the ever-wonderful green_grrl, who is bound to have plenty of delicious men of different cultures and races to inspire your own contributions! Her week is to coincide with International Blog Against Racism Week, which is happening from the 4th to the 10th August this year. It's an important week in terms of equality and learning to live with tolerance and understanding, so think on your own favourite men from other cultures and see if you have anything to share. As ever, picspams, videos, fics, fic recs, polls, challenges, music and other assorted goodies are bound to be on offer!

Movie recs, anyone?

A few movie recs in the preternatural sphere, some more worth a glance than others! Join in by adding some of your own faves! I've kept away from sequels/prequels and all that for now, but these are a few I think fall into good viewing for the preternatural slashiness or other attractions! *g*

A few Stephen King stories about otherworldly or supernatural type goings on to start with, since he's rather the master of fear in this area:
Carrie (1976) Carrie is an ordinary girl... who just happens to have some frightening abilities. Featuring Sissy Spacek and a young John Travolta, amongst others.
Salem's Lot (1979) Witches in Salem? Oh yes, you bet there are! David Soul features in this adaptation for TV, and he was looking fine back then!
The Shining (1980) Classic Jack! Oh, creepy, creepy redrum and mysterious goings-on in an empty resort.
Christine (1983) Cars don't feel jealous, do they? Or maybe they do?

Vampires:
Fright Night (1985) Hilariously camp stuff featuring the wonderful Roddy MacDowell, and Chris Sarandon plays it up gorgeously for William Ragsdale as the wide-eyed teenage neighbour! Lovely slashy bits with Chris's human protector too!
The Lost Boys (1987) Classic eighties stuff - beautiful vampire boys, and Jason Patric's gorgeous lips on display in all their deliciousness! Love the Coreys in this, and who could forget the classic line: "Death by stereo!"?
Interview with the Vampire (1994) While not quite living up to the book in some ways, it is far superior to the teenage-Goth-masses-influenced sequel which was nowhere near what the story was capable of. Brad Pitt is absolutely spot-on as Louis, and even Tom Cruise does better than you might expect. Gorgeously slashy too.
Shadow of the Vampire (2000) Hilarious and wonderful, a 'real' vampire plays the part in this 'making a movie' story and it comes off brilliantly, thanks in large amounts to the hugely talented Willem Dafoe and John Malkovich.

Zombies:
28 Days Later (2002) Zombies take over England and our boy Cillian Murphy and his small band must travel north in hopes of finding other survivors. Pretty boy has problems, as do his companions, including some rather over-interested military-types!
Shaun of the Dead (2004) A very funny parody movie from the wickedly hilarious English team of writers, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright.

Lycanthropy:
An American Werewolf in London (1981) One of my all-time favourites, this still has one of the best changeover scenes from man to beast! It's also funny and charming and you gotta love dead Griffin Dunne!

Other Immortals, plus some combinations of the above:
Highlander (1986) Who wants to live forever? I don't know if I'd make it, but the Highlander tries his best to deal with what fate has handed him. Christophe Lambert does his damndest to look good, but Sean Connery steals the show!
The Mummy (1999) Mummy? What mummy? I was too busy ogling Oded Fehr as Ardeth Bay, and it was soooooo worth it!
Underworld (2003) Kate Beckinsale plays a vampire who falls for a very pretty werewolf, played by Scott Speedman, and trouble ensues due to the feud between their families.
Van Helsing (2004) We all know Hugh Jackman's gorgeous, so what else do you need to know? Well, Will Kemp who plays Kate Beckinsale's brother in this one (hmmm, got a fave genre, Kate?) is decidedly delicious too, and David Wenham adds the comedy relief!

Other categories:
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) Who wants to see Johnny Depp get swallowed by a bed in one of his earliest movies? Does anything else happen that's anywhere near as important? Umm, no, but it was quite a good film as I recall! ;-)
The Ring (2002) Weirdness abounds - don't watch it on VHS if you're scared life imitates art! NZ's own Martin Henderson features as the heroine's boyfriend. Mmmm.

One of My All-Time Favorite Movies

And it's not just for "genre" of movie, either. And that movie is John Landis' classic movie, "An American Werewolf in London." It's got plenty of scary and gory stuff in it but also, some very dark and funnier than shit humor in it. Seriously, this was WAY before "Shaun of the Dead", another good movie I highly recommend. So things are going a bit slow... I'm sorry I haven't managed to pop in with something yet, but here's a little something to tempt you! I hope to return tomorrow with some of my favourite movies in the genre.

Self-pimping, I'm afraid, but hopefully you'll find them worth reading - there's angst, there's porn, and there's Josh in both of them! What more could you want? ;-)

Firstly, there's a fic I co-wrote with someone who's no longer on LJ (as far as I know), therosewilde, when we were into such things. She played Oded Fehr and I played Josh Holloway, and this is a little story we wrote in three parts, called Addicted to Love, about Oded as a vampire and Josh as his human lover. They were taken captive by some unsavoury characters, and this is the resulting story. The link takes you to the first part, and the next parts are linked at the bottom of each part.

My second offering is a story set in the Lost 'verse; a future-fic which assumes all of the Losties were rescued from the island pre-S4, and that Sayid and Sawyer somehow ended up together. It's in two parts and is called Moondance, after the Van Morrison song. It takes place on a vacation in London, shortly after the boys have seen a certain werewolf movie...

I hope you enjoy them if you give them a shot!

When I heard about this week’s theme, I was incredibly excited. Being a huge fan of the TV show Supernatural, this seemed like the perfect theme to me. But I figure we are gonna get a bunch of stuff from the show throughout the week and I wanted to do something a little different to start off with. And I was thinking about the show and how one of the things that I really like about it is the music. It’s a little outside what we do around here, but I decided I’d give us all a soundtrack to listen to during the week, while we are looking at all the pretty men and reading all the hot fics!
I’m gonna include the 126 songs that I have from the show as a couple of zip files at the end of this post, but most of the music I’m including in the main part of the post isn’t from the show. There are a few overlaps and I will try to make sure to mention them, just in case you want to download the zips too, then you won’t have repeats!
I was wondering how to organize this. Whether I should do a good guys vs bad guys type of a thing, but I ended up with so much music that was a little fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing and I decided to go by creature, and then put them into alphabetical order (I have a weird alphabet OCD, just accept it).
Now, all of the music here is from my own collection and I didn’t download anything special for this. So, if you want a different version of a particular song, lemme know and I’ll see if I can get it for you!

Pray—Original Broadway Cast Recording of Once On This Island This play is a retelling of A Little Mermaid, but deals with racism in the Caribbean. In this song, the main young woman of the story, Ti Moune, prays to the gods to spare the life of the boy she loves, while the rest of the village prays that she has not turned the gods against them.
Superstition—Stevie Wonder Is it just silly superstition? Or is it real?
When You Wish Upon A Star—from Disney’s Pinocchio When you wish upon a star, your dreams will come true

Fairies Well, there are only a couple songs in this category, but I couldn’t think of where else to put them. Sometimes they can be good, sometimes…not so much.
Tinkerbell—from the Original Score of Peter Pan by James Newton Howard This is an instrumental piece from the 2003 live action movie Peter Pan. In the movie, Tink, played by Ludivine Sagnier, isn’t just a sweet little fairy. Her jealousy of Wendy goes so far that she tries to have Wendy killed. However, when her actions almost cost the life of the boy she loves, she drinks the poison meant for Peter and sacrifices herself, only to be saved by the phrase, “I do believe in fairies! I do! I do!”
Fairy Story—The Naughty Nymphs This is from a trio of women who perform at Medieval and Renaissance festivals around the country. This song is actually a piece that is performed by many different groups (including the one I perform with), this is just the only version I have of this one. I’m not gonna include lyrics. Just trust me, it’s funny.

Ghosts
Ghost On The Highway—Mazzy Star You’re a ghost on the highway and I’ll love you forever (This song is on the Metallicar zip)
Ghostbusters—Ray Parker, Jr. Come on! You can’t have a section on ghosts without this one! If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!
On Our Own—Bobby Brown This may seem kinda silly, but I love it. This is the theme song for the second Ghostbusters movie. Too hot to handle, too cold to hold, they’re called the Ghostbusters and they’re in control

Gods Depending on your belief system, there may be one, many, or no gods. However, they have made their way into music in many ways.
Amazing Grace—Three Irish Tenors Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me
Cupid—Sam Cooke Cupid was the Roman god of love, based on the Greek god Eros. In this song, a young man asks for Cupid’s help to capture the heart of the girl he loves. Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow go straight to my lover’s heart for me
(Don’t Fear) The Reaper—Nick Cave & Enya The original version of this song is on one of the zips below, but I really, REALLY like this version. It’s darker and sexier than the original (it is Nick Cave, so yeah) and I figured I’d offer up this alternative! Like Romeo and Juliet...Redefine happiness
Jesus Was A Crossmaker—The Hollies The Council of Nicaea established in 325 CE that Jesus was part of God and therefore not human. However, that was not the overwhelming belief before that (and even for many after). Both songs that I list here treat Jesus as human, rather than as a god. However, I felt that this was the best place to put Jesus for this music list! This is an odd version of a human Jesus in a modern world. He wages war with the Devil, a pistol by his side
Let There Be—Original Broadway Cast Recording of Children Of Eden This show tells the story of Adam and Eve and the creation of Earth in the first act, and the story of Noah and the flood in the second act. The emphasis is placed very strongly on family, with the characters never referring to God as “God,” only as “Father.” As someone who isn’t Christian, I still found this show to be fun and beautiful (I’ve had the pleasure to perform in two productions of this show). This particular song is the first song in the show as is Father creating everything. Let there be Light! Whoa! That’s bright!
Superstar—Original Broadway Cast Recording of Jesus Christ Superstar In the story of JCS, Jesus is very much human and tempted by human life, while knowing that he will be sacrificed for the rest of humanity. This song is sung by Judas after he has committed suicide. It takes place just before the crucifixion. Judas asks what the plan was and if Jesus really was a Superstar. Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, who are you? What have you sacrificed?
Venus—Bananarama Oh yeah, baby! Get some 80s music goin’ on here! The cover of the song invoking the Roman goddess of love! The summit of beauty and love and Venus was her name

Good Guys These are some odd beings that I didn’t really have any other place to put them.
Beggars To God—Empty Hat Now, the subjects of this song aren’t really supernatural, but the man is a gypsy and he leads his lover through experiences that are out of this world. So, this covers several possible places on this list (Gods, Experiences, etc), but I felt that it fit best here, since this is a catch-all group. Empty Hat is another group I’ve had the pleasure to perform with at Medieval and Renaissance festivals. And personally, if there is a god, I think he/she/it is like this. Make love with each other, be free with each other, be prisoners of love till you lie in the sod; be friends with each other, forgive one another, see God in each other, be beggars to God
Fraggle Rock—TV Theme Song Yeah, I have no excuse for this. I mean, they are kinda monsters, aren’t they? But they are good ones (at least the Fraggles are). Dance your cares away, worry’s for another day, let the music play, down in Fraggle Rock!
Imagine—John Lennon Imagine if there weren’t any of those things we use to hold ourselves back. We’d be our own magic. You may say that I am a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.
Mr. Sandman—The Chordettes Could there be some magical man out there who could bring us our true love? If there is, I’d really appreciate if he could stop by my place. Thanks. Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream. Make him the cutest I’ve ever seen
Out There—Tom Hulce from Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame Not all monsters are bad. Some are just lonely. And out there living in the sun, give me one day out there, all I ask is one to hold forever
Super Mario Bros. Theme—London Symphony Orchestra Okay, another one that I had to add. But really! It makes sense! These are two guys who are facing a giant evil turtle intent on kidnapping a beautiful princess! IT FITS, DURNIT!

Human Monsters I have a category coming up titled “Monsters,” but as I was going through my music I kept finding songs that make you wonder just how messed up the humans were to act like that. Did they have something dark and unnatural inside them to make them like that? Well, these are some of those scary people.
A Little Priest—from the 1979 Broadway Cast Recording of Sweeney Todd Ummm…I’m not gonna try to describe this one. If you don’t know what Sweeney Todd is about now, you’ll figure it out after listening to this. Seems an awful waste…I mean, with the price of meat what it is
Evil Woman—Electric Light Orchestra I’m sure that there have been many times in the history of humanity that some heartbroken soul has felt that the woman who hurt him is truly EVIL! You destroyed all the virtues that the Lord gave you.
It’s A Sunshine Day—The Brady Bunch Dude. It’s the Brady Bunch. I don’t think it gets scarier than that! I think I’ll go for a walk outside, the summer sun’s calling my name
No Bravery—James Blunt James Blunt spent some time in the British army and saw action. This song beautifully and horrifically describes the inhumanity of man. Tracer lighting up the sky. It's another families' turn to die. A child afraid to even cry out says, He has been here.
Sleepy Hollow Theme— from the Original Score of Sleepy Hollow by Danny Elfman This was another one that I wondered where I should put it. Does it go with the monsters because of the Headless Horseman? I chose to put it here because it was a human controlling the monster.

Monsters The creatures that go “bump” in the night. Oooh…these are all the things to be scared of in the dark!
The Beast—Concrete Blonde The prey of the beast screamed bloody murder
Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)—Concrete Blonde Betcha can’t guess what this one’s about! You were a vampire and baby, I’m walking dead
Davy Jones—from the Original Score of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest by Hans Zimmer One of the modern movie monsters, made a monster by a broken heart (as all the best monsters were).
Feed Me (Git It)—from the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Little Shop Of Horrors this play tells the story of a “Mean green mother from outer space” who comes to Earth to eat people. In the shape of a giant plant. This song is that plant trying to convince its owner, Seymour, to kill bad people so that the plant, Audrey II or Twoey, can get blood. I don’t know, I don’t know! I have so, so many strong reservations. Should I go and perform mutilations?
Heffalumps and Woozles—from Disney’s Winnie the Pooh These kinda freak me out. So, I’m kinda gonna follow what the song says: Beware Beware Be a very wary bear
Hellhound On My Trail—Robert Johnson According to legend, Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil to become a great bluesman. His music is filled with references to hell and the devil. This song is about running from his fate. And the day keeps on reminding me there’s a hellhound on my trail (This song is on the Metallicar zip)
Oogie Boogie’s Song—from The Nightmare Before Christmas What monster is scarier to children than the Boogie Man?! You better pay attention ‘cause I’m the Boogie Man!
Thriller—Michael Jackson The ultimate monster song! All the zombies comin’ to get ya! And a fun dance to go along with it! This is thriller, thriller night, and no one’s gonna save you from the beast about to strike!
Walk Like An Egyptian—The Bangles A creature who is alive even after having all its organs removed and then being wrapped in long strips of fabric! Oooh! Watch out! Slide your feet up the street, bend your back, shift your arm, then you pull it back
Werewolves of London—Warren Zevon Not all werewolves are nasty things. Some of them like the finer things in life, between ripping people to shreds. I’d like to meet his tailor. Aaahoo, werewolves of London. Aaahooo!
Wooly Bully—Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs But what is it exactly?! Had two big horns and a wooly jaw, wooly bully, wooly bully

Witches I put these in their own category because there were both good and bad in here (although mostly good, as it should be).
Abracadabra—Steve Miller Band Once again, a man in love has no way to explain the effect a woman has on him! Really, does it seem that difficult to figure out: I feel the magic in your caress, I feel the magic when I touch your dress. Silk and satin, leather and lace. Black panties with an angel’s face
Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo—from Disney’s Cinderella I’ll have to remember these words for the next time I don’t have a dress to wear to the ball! Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
Harry’s Wonderous World—from the Original Score of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s (or Philosopher’s) Stone by John Williams This is the main theme for the Harry Potter movie series. Trust me, you’ve heard it. But it’s a good piece of music.
I Put A Spell On You—Creedence Clearwater Revival There is another version of this down in the zip. That version is done by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins (and I kinda like it better, it’s bluesier), but this one is a bit more rockin’. It’s classic CCR. I put a spell on you, because you’re mine
Witchy Woman—The Eagles What is it with these men?! She held me spellbound in the night, dancing shadows and firelight

A Vampire Fic I Am Working On....

I've been writing this sucker, on and off, for about a month or so now. The ONLY place I have it all at in one piece and easy to read is at the lovely lady__vaako's Karl Urban fiction site, Urban Reveries. http://www.urbanreveries.net/archive/index.php The story is called "Wanderer of the Ages" and yes, I am also known as amyurban there, as well.

The reason it's over there? Because the Vampire in question is inspired by Karl. The character looks just like him, but it's not him nor any character he's ever played before. And also, lady__vaako did the lovely header banner for the story:

There is het, slash, threesome's and violence involved in it and no, it's not done, but warning; so far this sucker is LONGER than I thought it would be. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, I can wrap this up, if my Summer doesn't become too busy to do so, that is.

Hello adventure-lovers! This, as ever these days, is a bit later than it should be, but I just wanted to formally thank our lovely May hostess, absolutjane for the wonderful job she did with Partnerships.

*APPLAUDS LOUDLY!!!*

Thank you, dear Jane! You made the month wonderful, and we love you for it!

This month, as Jane has said previously, features a guest hostess, the talented celticmama, who is going to take us on some adventures_in the preternatural, which means if you have creatures of the night, men who chase them, the deliciousness of some ~~neckslash~~ Vampire loving or Werewolf strangeness, or any other such otherworldly beings to fic, show us pics or just ramble about luridly, we want to see what delights they are! Come along, and don't be afraid of the dark - we'll hold your hand! BWAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA!

One slight change: The Preternatural will feature in the week 30 June to 6 July, rather than the week before as stated earlier! Be there with garlic on! ;-)

Partnerships that never happened

I know I'm sneaking this in at the last minute (okay it's not quite that close, but anyway...) , but my super-sekrit idea for the week is this...

I've always been drawn to guys who look (in some way or another) like other guys I fancy. To me, there are lots of lost brothers and such around. They may not be actual partners, but here's a few 'why aren't they related' shots for your study. Brotherhoods belong here too, right? Please feel free to add any of your own to the list!

One of my first ever crushes, as some of you know, was Mr Lee Majors, The Six Million Dollar Man himself. And then, one day, I saw Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, with Gil Gerard, and all I could think was... hmm, did they grow up together?

That's an older shot of Gil, but check them out, resemblance, no?

Another one from some time back was one of the delicious Bottoms brothers (yes, actual brothers), Timothy, seen here at left from the movie, The Last Picture Show. In the late 80's, a TV series called The Young Riders came onto my TV, and naturally, I could not help but see young Tim in the face of Ty Miller, who played 'The Kid' (and incidentally got to pash a girl who was dressed as a boy most of the time, making everyone think they were gay, and giving me many fantasies nonetheless). He's on the right here:

I was always a Redford fan, and although it wasn't what you'd call an immediate link in my head, I must admit to working out later that Brad Pitt looks very like him in some ways. The proof:

Anyone who knows me well knows what a Richard Gere fan I am, so it's no surprise if someone who reminds me of him makes it to the list! Funnily enough, the first view I had of The X-Files had me glued. Yes, it may not be obvious to some, and nor is David Duchovny all that similar, but I was hooked anyway!

Johnny. Ah, the love of Johnny knows no end, as I'm sure most people would agree. And again, from the minute I saw him in Scream, I was riveted to Skeet Ulrich for my imagined fantasy of him being Johnny's bro! It doesn't dissway me hearing him speak, either, I might add!

Now, to some slightly more obscure ones (not that I'm expecting anyone younger than 35 to know who Timothy or Ty are either!), here's Mr Ian McShane from his younger days, followed by a modern equivalent, Rufus Sewell. I can't remember what I first saw Rufus in, but it was seeing him in The Illusionist last weekend that reminded me of his similarity to Ian, and that I had to include them here.

I know George Harrison is anything but obscure (he was my favourite Beatle!), but the link between him and Oded Fehr might be tenuous at best! All I know is I was shoving Brendan Fraser out of The Mummy to gawk at Oded because he immediately made me think of George!

Perhaps a little less alike than the others, but to me, Josh Brolin seems a bit like Josh Hartnett's older brother. Any takers?

And last, but definitely not least, as lozateazer and some of my other close friends here in LJ land will attest, I have taken to calling this next younger fella, 'Foxy's lil bro'! Matthew Fox is one of the hottest Losties, and if you are a Brothers & Sisters watcher, can you honestly tell me that it never occurred to you either? Dave Annable is his name, for those of you interested:

I know, I know, they aren't exactly the sexiest partnership out there, but there's something undeniably attractive about nerds loving science!

Not just Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, I love the entire Mythbusters team. Grant, Tory and Kari are hilarious as the Build Team, it's almost as fun watching them as Jamie and Adam.

However, it's the two main dudes that pull the show together.

The first of several from me, sorry loves! It's been a busy week so you're getting spammed.

Flight of the Conchords! I've mentioned them a bunch, I know I have! And so they get mentioned again. They're funny. They're pretty. They're from New Zealand. They *sing*. And they slash themselves unmercifully.

This was from I believe the April issue of Maxim magazine. I found this at a newsstand, and motioned for my mother (who I had been shopping with) to come and look. I didn't tell her what it was, only that I wanted it. I opened up the magazine to the lovely glossy two-page spread with this picture, and my mother screamed, told me no way in hell, and then scootered off.

I tracked her down and demanded she tell me what was so wrong about me spending my money on a magazine. Turns out she believed that this picture was graphic gay sex! And while she knows I like that, she herself would prefer not to observe it. I showed her the picture again, she recognized the boys, and mumbled and generally looked embarrassed.

No, Jemaine, that's not gay.

Just a little bit slashy, at the most.

Stargate SG-1: The Soldier and the Scientist, the mismatched pair ... it turned out they had more in common than they ever suspected, and soon they were finishing each other's sentences while saving the galaxy. They've had a profound impact on each other's lives, and no one is closer than:

Stargate: Atlantis: You know what? That Soldier/Scientist thing really works. John's a little geekier than he admits to in public, and Rodney found a brave streak, once he realized there were people worth risking his life for. Together they inspire each other to new heights of achieving the impossible and saving the Pegasus Galaxy.

Due South: The above two pairs each work within a larger team of four. This next duo is strictly the two of them against the mean streets of Chicago. Even though both are officers of the law, Fraser has more of the Scientist vibe, and Ray the Soldier. As cops, they are literally partners, but they've also saved each other from a life of loneliness and isolation. Some quotes on partnership from the show:

Of course there are Jack and Daniel...

...but I do love Cam and Daniel, too (although I haven't a pic of both together without the rest of the team. Anybody?).

If I'd actually sat and thought about this for a long time, I probably could have come up with more partnerships that have rocked my parsnips. Alas, I have been battling an invasion of ants for the last two days.

Not sexy, not fun.

First up, Team Awesome!

Buff, honed, in need of some hot lovin', and dressed mighty fine for two men who've been stuck on a crazy island for some time. Come on guys, sort each other out. And let us watch, pls.

Then we have my favourite Boosh boys, Julian and Noel. Funny, self deprecating (Julian), dramatically tressed (Noel), look good in hats, there's nothing not to like. Oh, and they kissed. On telly. And Youtoob has everything for the discerning slasher.

What partnership picspam is complete without the luscious Gael Garcia Bernal / Diego Luna combo? Best friends... and whaddaya know? They've kissed too. If you haven't seen Y Tu Mama Tambien, well, you haven't lived.

The guy in the hat like a tea cosy? Not Gael or Diego. He is playing a drug fuelled hippy here, so please forgive him the knitwear.

I tried and tried to find a photo of the whole 'Mary Whitehouse Experience' gang, but to no avail. It seems that they fell out so spectactularly that their fans destroyed all evidence too. Hey ho. It was Britain in the nineties, and believe it or believe it not, this Newman & Baddiel pairing were one of the hottest comedy partnerships around. In fact, they were the first comedy duo to play Wembley. That's gotta be worth something, right? Then Rob Newman (left) disappeared up his own arse, and David Baddiel (right) turned into a big fat arse. Sad times for the lust-filled ladies.

Once upon a time, before anyone suggested they ~~slaughter~~ cover Righteous Brothers songs; Robson and Jerome played Paddy & Tucker in Lucy Gannon's 'Soldier Soldier'. They were best friends. And hot. And funny. I can't bring myself to talk of their slippery slope into naffness, but Robson Green is doing very well for himself these days as a supersplendid actor. Jerome Flynn was last heard of doing a Tommy Cooper tribute act to much acclaim. Funny old world.

And last but not least, I couldn't resist my statutory Harry Lloyd pics. Here he is playing one half of my Robin Hood (BBC) OTP. The other half is being ably played by Joe Armstrong. It's Will Scarlett and Allan a Dale ~~upping the sexual tension after having been apart for some weeks~~ having a lover's tiff over Allan being a big old turncoat traitor. Oh, and Nottingham's about to be raised to the ground. Whatevers - there are hot young men to look at and admire!

Go on, kiss him... kiss him!!

Well, I enjoyed meself.

Actually, looking at this lot, it's probably a good job I didn't think about it for too much longer. You can thank those durned ants for that.
