1. You must be a member to participate/vote.
2. You are allowed to make two icons per challenge.
3. Your icon must meet LJ standards (100x100 max, 40KB max, JPG, PNG, GIF). It's not my rule, it's LJ's. :p
4. Your icon must feature something from the movie.
5. Do NOT use fanart or doujinshi. It gets complicated.
6. Do NOT use another's bases or someone else's icon. Get creative--don't resort to thievery!
7. Try not to make your icon too sexually explicit or use really harsh language. It's fine in moderation, but don't overdo it.
8. Try to submit a recently made icon.
9. Stick to the theme!
10. Do not use/display/advertise the icon until the challenge is over. It's only fair. If it's noticed, you'll be asked to take it down and no harm will be done. If the request isn't heeded, the icon will be disqualified.

Themes are weekly. The challenge will go up late Sunday night and icons (which are submitted to the screened challenge post) will be accepted until the Friday following it. Voting will then take place from Friday to late Sunday. Rinse and repeat. All icons will be due by 10 PM EST (or rather whenever the polls go up), or GMT-5. Voting will run from late Friday night to Sunday night. Voting will be done via polls and screened commenting. You'll vote for your three favorite icons, along with an icon for one of these special categories: Best Adaption: The icon you feel made the most of the given theme. Best Emotion: The icon you feel conveys emotion the best. Best Color: The icon you feel uses color the best. Most Creative/Most Inventive: The icon you feel to be the most unique.
