I set up this community because basically, there can not be too many places to post/read good jokes/puns/riddles/funny lists.

There are only a few rules that need to be observed.

  1. If you wish to join this community, you will need to put your complete birthdate on your personal journal profile. This is a general rule on other adult communities and seems to be a good one.
  2. You can tell dirty jokes!
  3. Per community vote, links only posts will be considered off topic and will be deleted. "Links only" posts are posts that are really nothing more than links to offsite content... Flash and Shockwave files or other various audio/video files. You want to link us to funny offsite content or something else? It's fine... as long as you tell us a good joke first. :)
  4. Don't disrespect other community members. I won't tolerate "That joke was stupid" posts. Criticize if you want, but don't be stupidly mean.
  5. If your joke/riddle/puzzle whatever will be very lengthy, please put it behind an LJ cut. If you need help with it, please see This FAQ.
  6. If your post contains pictures, please placing it behind a cut. There are several reasons I'm requesting this.
    • First is to conserve bandwidth and be courteous to our friends on dialup.
    • Second is because some pictures are definitely not work friendly... and some people look at their friends pages while on the clock. We don't want anyone getting fired for reading our community. :)

  7. Also, please make your dirty jokes "friends only" posts. Although we are restricted membership, kids can still read any posts that are made public. Although I believe that parents of underage kids should be the ones monitoring their little ones' internet use, some parents don't. I'd rather not have the hassel of dealing with pissed off-irresponsible parents. If you "friends only", I would greatly appreciate it.
  8. Keep on target. Personal posts belong in your personal journal.

The community is moderated for now, meaning that entries will be submitted for approval before publicly posted to the community. After you have made a couple of successful entries, your posting restriction will be lifted. Posts done solely to promote other communities, websites, etc will be rejected and/or deleted.
